1|GETTING STARTED
The mCareWatch Carers mobile app is available to carers who would like to connect with the
SOS Mobile Watch (model SMW14) and is available for iPhone and Android smartphones.
The Carer’s mobile app allows carers to create accounts on individuals wearing the SOS
Mobile Watch, update authorised SOS carers contact numbers, setup reminders, update pass-
words and monitor the location of the wearer of the watch by using the watch’s inbuilt GPS,
GSM and Wi-Fi technology.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD MOBILE APP
2|ACCESS MCAREWATCH MOBILE APP
2.1 The mCareWatch Carers App icon will
appear on your smart phone.
2.2 Enter App by tapping on the app icon
For ANDROID Mobile app
Download Mobile App from Google Play (Free App to download,
application only works if you purchase an SOS Mobile Watch
from mCareWatch) Go to Google Play on your Android
Smartphone and search “mCareWatch SMW14”.
For iOS iPhone Mobile app
Download Mobile App from the App Store (Free App to
download, application only works if you purchase an SOS Mobile
Watch from mCareWatch) Go to your App Store on your iPhone
Smartphone and search for “mCareWatch”.

LOG IN:
Tap onto Use Account Login.
The carers can log into Mobile App using
the Username and Password provided by
mCareWatch. Carer can then change this once
inside Application. Note, if you tap on Remember
me (tick box) the App will automatically log into
App next time you try to use the mCareWatch
SMW14 App.
Tap on Login button to enter App.
NEW USER ACCOUNT:
The Carer can also create a new User Account
to manage an individual wearer or many devices
(eg. Mum and Dad are both wearing an SMW14
device).
Tap on New User to create new account.
CREATE NEW ACCOUNT:
Carer enters new account details by completing the
following details; Username, Password, Full Name,
Phone, Email address. They also need to accept Terms
and Conditions by Tapping on circle.
Username & password created by customer needs to
be 8-12 characters with no symbols.
Tap on Create button on top right of screen to create
new account.
A message will pop up for carer to confirm that details
are correct. Carer taps on OK button
to confirm.
A confirmation email will be sent to your nominated
email address to complete registration process. The
carer Clicks on link provided in email to confirm process.

CREATE WEARER DEVICE:
Carer creates Wearer/User Device (individual
wearing the Watch/SMW14). Tap on Ok.
A screen will pop up to add the device.
Please select Manual input.
Carer enters the Device (SMW14 – Watch) unique
number (IMEI) and password which is provided in
your purchase cover letter. (sent by mCareWatch)

Includes wearer’s name, Gender, Address, SOS Mobile Watch contact number.
IMEI sim ID no., wearer’s photo, SOS emergency and Family Contact Speed
Dial contacts.
To add Wearer’s photo – touch black camera and either take photo
with mobile phone camera or upload photo.
To add Wearer Info details, tap section and fill in details by typing on
keypad screen.
STEP 1: To add Emergency Contacts
(3 pre-set contacts), tap on white pen and
then add Contact name and contact number
for three contacts
NOTE: You can add a minimum of one and
maximum of 3 emergency contacts

- Activated on: list the date/time the watch was activated
- Shutdown: date/time the watch was switched off/battery was flat
- Shutdown Cause: What caused watch to switch off, eg. Manual shutdown
- Synchronisation time: Date/Time watch and mobile app was
synchronised with latest updates
(location, contacts changes, reminders etc.)
- Battery: How much battery life is left on the watch with
% power remaining.
- Watch Firmware: Last device Firmware update
BPressure, BGlucose, Oximeter and Body Weight
buttons are not available for wearers’ of the SOS
Mobile Watch SMW14
Activity button: measures activity (number of steps)
via Pedometer on the watch. Press on Activity button
to view recorded activity. When you first enter this
section readings are represented in a Graph. Most
recent reading displayed at bottom of graph.
NOTE: Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, Oximeter &
Body Weight Scale readings using peripheral devices
via Bluetooth is only available with the Advanced
Smart Mobile Watch.
The carer can tap on the relevant display tab to List each reading or view chart
on a daily, weekly, monthly period. Alternatively you can also specify a specific
time interval. Activity parameters and goal criteria can be set in Health Parameter
Settings under Activity Settings. Carers /Wearer can set a particular goal for
number of steps and Distance Travelled. Each reading is colour coded according
to the index key shown below; eg. Green represents Goal Achieved.
NOTE: Each Activity reading is created by wearer activating the Pedometer
on the watch. Swipe to left hand side to view then touch screen. Press green
activate button to commence reading. Once you finish activity (eg. Walk or
Outing) then press cancel. Data reading will be sent to Carer’s portal and Mobile
Apps. Wearer can send a number of readings a day or have one record of activity
for whole day

Tracker will display the location of the watch over the
last 4 hours. This uses GSM (Mobile Towers), Wi-Fi
and GPS technology to provide location. Tracking
function and interval is configured in Settings
under Tracking.
Reporting location position will be based on whatever
technology is available at the time of reporting.
(GSM, Wi-Fi and GPS) and how the carer has
configured the reporting parameters.
Click on SOS Locator to see the location of the
watch wearer’s last known position after pressing the
SOS button
View map – click on white pin icon to view map
in satellite (displayed below)
Refresh position

position using Wi-Fi positioning)
On Demand Tracking: Press on blue arrow to
receive the latest location of the watch wearer.
NOTE: the on demand tracking request requires an
SMS to be sent from your mobile to the watch to
receive the location (screen on the right will appear).
Press OK to receive latest position of the watch.
Latest watch location details displayed here – including wearer’s name, latest
address and time.
NOTE: Location services will use the following technology to locate the wearer;
GSM (Mobile Towers), WiFi and GPS technology. When reporting position it will
initially pick up GSM with a perimeter range and then provide WiFi location or
GPS if available. Note GPS is the most accurate and will provide location within
a few metres.

History displays a record of
SOS calls (Time & Location
Report), Call Record (Time
& Location Report) and
Non-Activity Record.
NOTE: Fall Detection is
not available on the SOS
Mobile Watch SMW14.
To view either SOS Call,
Call Record or Non-Activity
Record then Tap on heading
to view each report or swipe
heading from right to left to
view Geofence heading.
Tap on Reminder button to set ‘Medication’ and ‘Clinical
Appointments’ for the wearer.
To Set Medication Reminders
STEP 1: Tap on first slot available and click on days
you would like the Medication reminders to be set.
STEP 2: Select the hour, minutes and AM/PM for
alarm reminder.
STEP 3: Tap on the Save Button (white square disk
at the top right hand side of the screen) to save the
reminder.
To set Clinical Appointment
STEP 1: Tap on first available appointment and the
screen on the right will display
STEP 2: Select day, month and time (hour:minute, AM/
PM) and then Tap on the Save button (white square
disc at the top right hand corner of the page).
Tap on Direct Call button to
call the watch. Your smart
phone will automatically
dial the watch.
NOTE: Any incoming calls
to the SOS Mobile Watch
do not affect the SIM card
data plan (applicable to
customers on the Outright
or Monthly Plan).

Activity Setup (Pedometer)
Tap on Settings to view the following:
- Health Parameters Setup (only Activity Setup
is available on SOS Mobile Watch SMW14).
The health thresholds and alerts can be setup
and used only with the Advanced Smart
Mobile Watch.
- Fall Detector (not available on SOS Mobile
Watch SMW14
- Tap on Activity and add activity details and
goals for wearer.
Non-Activity Setup
Click on Settings to view the following:
- Carers can setup a non-activity alert for each wearer. This is based on the pedometer within the watch
and it will detect if the wearer has had any activity within a specific time interval, ie. if they have had any
steps during the day, gone for a walk, etc.
- Carer can determine if wearer has walked between for example 10am and 1pm on a daily basis.
- This Non-Activity feature is switched on by tapping on button and specifying time and then tapping on
the relevant days included in reporting interval.
NOTE: Carer can only have one function on (either using watch as a pedometer and wearer creates
activity records on a daily basis) or you can have the Non-Activity function (send alert to carer if no steps/
activity with a specific timeframe). You cannot have both features on at the same time.

- Watch Setup (allows the carer to pre-set SOS
button and Speed Dial press timing required to
activate call. (recommend 3 seconds for both);
Also includes ‘Anti-disturb’ and SOS SMS function.
- Timezone and Language can also be configured
in Watch Setup.
- Press the top right hand square to save
new settings
- Screen on right hand side will appear
confirming Watch Setup has been saved.
NOTE: Watch and mobile app will need to be
synchronised to update new settings.
This allows the carer to share an image with the
watch wearer.
NOTE: By default this functionality is not available, if
you want to share pictures you will need to change
the watch settings to “Simple version” under the UI
settings (User interface). This is done directly via the
watch in settings mode.
Carer can either take a photo on their mobile or send a
photo from their mobile album and then share this with
watch wearer.
The wearer can view image by touching and swiping
the watch screen to view image.

WiFi frequency Setup
Carer can setup how often the watch and mobile
app are synchronised with WiFi location data;
Tap on time and day to select frequency.
To confirm setup tap on Save Button (white
square disc) to save.
Synch Time Setup
Save settings by tapping on Save button on top right
hand side of App screen (white square disk).
For iOS (iPhone) users you will also be prompted with
an additional save button for confirmation.
Synch Time Setup
Carer can setup how often the watch and mobile
app are synchronised with location data and any
updates made to the mobile app (reminders,
changes to SOS contacts etc.).
NOTE: The Default setting on watch is every 1
hour for synchronisation (this is to ensure you
do not go over your allocated 10MB of data per
month (relevant for Outright & Monthly Plans)
GPS frequency Setup
Carer can setup how often the watch and mobile
app are synchronised with GPS location data;
Tap on time and day to select frequency.
To confirm setup tap on Save Button (white
square disc) to save.
NOTE: Carers can only select one option at a time. Either WiFi or GPS Tracking, you cannot have both.

Geofence functionality will alert the carer when the wearer (person wearing watch)
has exited a pre-defined perimeter. Tap on different areas to create connected
points. After creating the shape you may modify the fence directly by Tapping and
dragging perimeter.
Alerts will be sent immediately when wearer moves out of area. Carer will receive
one more alert every hour as long as it is in the set time period and still outside
Geofence area. This will also appear in the History Records under Geofence.
NOTE: GPS and WiFi will locate a position once every five minutes and report
location, if wearer is not in safe zone then it will trigger an alert. Only alert
notification will be sent to carer then they can send an On-Demand Location
request to locate the wearer.
Tap onto Geofence button under Settings Menu.
Carers can setup a safe zone perimeter for the wearer
and receive an alert once wearer moves outside that
Geofence area.
- Tap on create new Safe Zone.
- Then enter the Geofence details such as name,
time period and days included.
- Define safe zone by either drilling down map
by pinching the screen to open up and select a
location. Or in the search field type the address
you are looking for and press search.
- Once you have location address, Carer can
create safezone then tap screen to drop pins
and create Geofence.
- Carer can delete any pins displayed just by
tapping on it and an “X” shows up on top of pin.
Press “X” to delete.
- Then press Save button
- If you need to edit a created Safe zone
(Geofence) then swipe finger across the created
record displayed (right to left). This will display
the Edit and Delete buttons.
ALSO NOTE THAT THE GEOFENCE FEATURE USES DATA BASED ON HOW
OFTEN THE WATCH PINGS/REPORTS TO SOFTWARE PLATFORM. TO
ENSURE YOU DO NOT GO OVER YOUR ALLOCATED DATA PLAN PLEASE
RESTRICT TO APPROPRIATE REPORTING INTERVALS,
IE. WEARER IS PRONE TO WANDER BETWEEN 10AM AND 3PM.

Personal Info Section

Configuration
Click on white arrow and square at the top right of
the Home page to bring up the Configuration page
(right hand) to update ‘Personal Info’ for the wearer.
My Account and Wearer’s Management allows the
carer to setup the personal details for the wearer
and also add more than one watch device on the
mobile app.
General Settings include FAQ’s, About Us which
re-direct you to the mCareWatch website

Carer’s can also connect with the SOS Mobile Watch via the ConnectiveCARE website which
is accessible through www.mcarewatch.com.au Carer’s can engage with the device by config-
uring all the settings on the watch including: pre-set emergency, family speed dial, reminders,
locate the watch wearer and monitoring activity.

User/Carer selects whether they are an Individual
Carer or Aged Care Provider. Click on appropriate
button that is relevant to you.
Enter a Username (8-12 alphanumeric values, no symbols), Full Name of
User/Carer, Password (8-12 characters/figures), and Retype Password
to confirm and then enter your email address to register and confirm
account, eg [email protected]
User/Carer can view Terms & Conditions or click that you agree to
these terms.
Press Submit to create account.
A message will display that an
email will be sent to your email
address provided, you must click
on link within email received to
complete registration process.
User/Carer once they confirm
email can enter the Username
and Password in Login page.
Eg. Joeblogs
Then press Login.

The Carer’s/User’s Name will be
displayed on Web Portal Dashboard.
To enter Wearer details and Watch
details you need to click on Manage
User Accounts.
Carer Adds New Member by firstly
entering details of the Watch/
device provided. Each SOS Mobile
Watch (SMW14) has a Unique
Device Number called an IMEI.
Press Add New Member Button.
Carer Adds IMEI Number of Watch
and Password.
These details are provided by
mCareWatch and will be sent to you
in your Purchase and Confirmation
Letter.
Press the Save Button to enter
Watch details.
A message will appear on the
screen that Watch Details were
successfully entered.
NOTE: This in most cases will be
setup for customers who have
purchased the outright and monthly
service. Therefore this section will
already be pre-programmed.

This will display either as the

SOS emergency is updated on Portal
and Mobile Apps in real-time.

reporting (Pedometer Readings) or

whether wearer has no activity for
specific time interval).
NOTE: Carers can only select one option at a time. Either Wi-Fi or
