Temperature control
Due to the unique way that this unit operates there is no need for any user
control.
The unit is designed to -18 degrees centigrade within the storage
compartment. If the Temperature controllers indicates any other
temperatures then refer to the troubleshooting section of this manual.
▪This unit is fitted with a high/Low sensor. After first power on the unit will wait
24 hours before activating the high/low sensor. This will allow the unit to get to
operating temperature. After the initial 24 hours after first power on the buzzer is
active and will sound if the unit temperature moves outside the safe temperature
zone.
Humidity
All internal surfaces of the compartment are utilised as cooling elements –
this means that heat can move more quickly from the compartment and that
temperatures can be stabilised more easily within the freezer.
During any door opening in humid conditions it is natural for condensation to
form on the internal surfaces of the freezer.
Normal operation
The unit operates at a single set temperature which will appear on the
temperature controller.
▪This unit is fitted with a door opening sensor. The buzzer will sound if the door
is left open for longer than 10 seconds. Please make sure that the door is
latched when closed.
Maintenance tasks
Daily
Check compartment temperature is within acceptable range (-15°C –20°).
Ambient dependent.
Weekly
Wipe clean the inside of the freezer.
Wipe clean the door seals.
Monthly
Check that the condenser is clean and air is free to move over
condenser/compressor assembly.
Check that the electrical cable is in good condition and free from damage.
Check that the wall socket is in good condition (where the freezer is plugged
into the mains power).

Defrosting
A manual defrosting procedure should be performed periodically on the fridge
compartment of the appliance to maintain its operating efficiency. Over time, as the
door is opened and closed, letting in new air, water vapor from the air condenses on
the cooling elements within the cabinet.
Transportation / Transport
The unit can be transported and stored (when the product is inactivated) in ambient
temperatures ranging from -30°C to +55°C and can be transported, stored and used
(activated) in relative humidity from 5% to 95%.
Diagnosing a problem
1. If the temperature indication on the freezer compartment goes below -20°C
then call a maintenance engineer to look at the thermostat control.
If the temperature is above -10°C then:
2. Check the door is closed and sealing properly –If seals are damaged then
report this and get the seals changed.
3. Use something of known temperature to assess the calibration of the
thermometer. Also check the compartment temperature with a portable
thermometer e.g. glass/alcohol type.
4. Check the mains supply.
5. Check if the unit has been receiving electricity within the allowed tolerance of
voltage output supply in your country.
6. Check connection to the mains.
If 3,4,5 & 6 all appear to be in order then remove the vaccines to a safe location
and, ensuring constant supply of electricity, monitor the freezer’s progress over a
1 week period.
