8. How to use
9. Notes
This meter has already been calibrated before delivery. Do not revise the calibration parameters
without professional personnel and device.
All products are well calibrated before delivery.Recommended recalibration at 1 year intervals.
Repairs or servicing not covered in this manual should only be performed by qualified personnel.
Wipe the unit with a dry soft cloth periodically. Do not use abrasives or solvents on this instrument.
Remove the battery when the meter is to be stored for long periods of time to avoid battery leakage.
When the battery is low, LCD display “ ” a new battery is needed to replace.
Do not store or operate the meter in high temperature or humidity.
Check whether the photo detector is well connected with the photo detector socket before
measurement.
When manual range is needed, press "LEVEL" key to select the desired range, if "UNDER" or
"OVER" icon appears on the LCD, which indicates incorrect range and need to select again.

6. LCD display explainations
When the battery warning iocon ‘ ’
display on the LCD, Push the battery cover out
and replace 1 pc fresh 9V battery
as the correct polarity. To avoid chemical leakage
from the battery, remove the battery if you are
intended not to use the meter for a while

Power ON / OFF Function
press ‘ ’ button for one second, the meter will be on; keep pressing this button for approx. 3 seconds,
the meter will be off.
Backlight
After turning the meter on, momentarily press ‘ ’ backlit will be on / off, it will automatically turn off
after approx. 30 seconds of inactivity.
Data Hold
After turning the meter on, momentarily press ‘ ’ button, ‘HOLD’ icon will appear on the LCD,
which indicates the data is freezed. To release the held reading, press the button again.
Frequency weighting A/C selection
Press the ‘ ’ button to select ECT A or C.
dBA : A frequency weighting (the noise that human ear can hear)
dBC: C frequency weighting (response to machine monitor)
FAST/SLOW selection
After power the meter on, press “ ” to select FAST or SLOW measurement.
FAST: Fast sampling time measurement,1 time per 125ms
SLOW: Slow sampling time measurement, 1 time per second.

MAX/MIN
In the measurement mode, press ‘ ’ button one time, ‘ MAX ’ icon will appear on the LCD
to view the current MAX reading, press the button again, "MIN" icon will appear to view the current
MIN reading. Press this button once more to exit the ‘ MAX/MIN ’ mode.
Press ‘ ’ button for 3 seconds above, re-start to calculate the maximum or minimum.
Range selection
Press ‘ ’ button to select the range level, there are four selectable levels from ‘Lo’, ‘Med’, ‘Hi’, to ‘Auto’
in the circualr :
Lo : 30dB~80dB
Med : 50dB~100dB
Hi : 80dB~130dB
Auto : 30dB~130dB
Before power on the meter,
press ‘ ’
button first, then press ‘ ’
to disable auto power off
