1 Megalink second monitor display kit
1.1 Introduction
This document describes how to use a compatible television set as a Megalink second display.
1.2 Overview
1.3 Components
Included in kit:
• USB network adapter
• Display device
• SD card with predefined ID
• HDMI cable
• USB cable (power)
Not included in kit:
• Megalink DU3 color monitor
• 1-1 network cable / local LAN components
• Television set
• Optional external USB micro power source
1.4 Monitor requirements
The monitor must meet the following requirements:
• Type DU3 (Color monitor)
• Software version 13.49 or later. (Firmware 02.17). Updated software can be
downloaded from www.megalink.no.
1.5 Television set requirements
The television set must have the following:
• Full HD
• HDMI input
• USB in/out (Optional. External USB micro power source can be used.)

1.6 Network setup e amples
The monitors and television sets can be connected as a 1-1 network or via your local LAN.

1.7 Display device ID setup
The display device must have the same ID as the monitor connected. Insert the SD card
marked with the same number as the monitor target number.
1. Insert the SD card.
2. Connect the device to the television via HDMI.
3. ower up the device. Use the television USB as power source. External power can be
used. DC 5.0V / 700mA.
4. Wait for the Megalink logo to appear on the screen.
5. Shut down the device by simply remove the power source.
6. The device is ready for use. NB! The SD card must remain inserted.
1.8 Startup
1. Connect the device with the proper ID to the television via HDMI.
2. ower up the television.
3. ower up the device using the USB cable.
4. Wait for the Megalink logo to appear on the screen.
5. Connect the device to the monitor using the USB-Ethernet adapter and a standard
network cable.
6. ower up the monitor.
If no target picture appears on the slave screen try resetting the target number on the monitor.

1.9 Set new ID on the SD card
If you need to change the ID on the SD card you can do the following:
1. Insert the SD card to a SD card reader connected to the computer.
2. Download MLSet iIp.zip from www.megalink.no/download.
3. Unzip the file and start the application MLSet iIp.exe.
4. Enter the disk name of your SD card.
5. Enter the new ID. ress the Set ID button. Wait for the ID OK status.
6. Redo section 1.7.
