1. Scope of application
This warranty statement as described below applies to the residential application with Standard
Battery System supplied by Shenzhen GT Powertank Co., Ltd. (herein after “GT Powertank”)
with the types referenced below to the end-user (the end-user is the buyer who puts the
battery system into operation for the rst time) via the way authorized by GT Powertank.
1.1 The objects of warranty
Standard Battery System refers to the battery pack which is made up by its internal components
such as BMS, cell modules, structural components, electrical components and the cables. They
are all applicable to the warranty statement.
All the other accessories outside of the standard battery system such as external cables,
structural components and the components that can be opened by the end-user are not
applicable to the warranty statement, considering the complex reasons when fault occurs. When
the accessory is found damaged in the rst installation(or in use), the end-user could conrm
with the dealer and replace(or buy) it in time.
And GT Powertank warrants that the product will be free of defects caused by improper
workmanship or defective materials.
1.2 Applicable Areas
Africa or the other areas GT Powertank approved.
1.3 Applicable Standard Battery System Model
GL48100
2. Warranty Methods
There are three different Warranty Methods we provide, and once any warranty method's
condition exceeded, the warranty service is end normally.
2.1 Warranty Period
The Standard Battery System warranty period is 5 years from the sales date in the seller's
invoice to the end-user (“Invoice Date”).
In addition, we will provide optional extended warranty service for up to 5 years (the total
warranty time of the battery can be up to 10 years). For the purchase of extended warranty
service, please consult GT Powertank or local authorized distributor.
2.2 Warranty Cycles
When remaining capacity SOH (State of Health) ≥ 70%, the cycle life reaches 3000 cycles (1C
Charging & discharging rate, battery working environment temperature:25±5oC & Depth of
discharge DOD: 90%)
When a battery system meets the above conditions within its warranty period, the GT
Powertank will terminate the warranty responsibility of this battery system.
Note: the cycle numbers, SOH, DOD, and other crucial battery-related data are stored in the
battery system’s BMS.

2.3 Warranty Cycle Capacity
When the battery system has not reached the limit of service life and cycle life, but the total
discharge capacity of the battery meets the following parameters, the warranty responsibility
of GT Powertank will also be terminated. (Using conditions DOD80%, working environment
temperature: 25±5oC)

2.3 Warranty Cycle Capacity
When the battery system has not reached the limit of service life and cycle life, but the total
discharge capacity of the battery meets the following parameters, the warranty responsibility
of GT Powertank will also be terminated. (Using conditions DOD80%, working environment
temperature: 25±5oC)
Notes:
1. Test conditions:
The conditions are: 25±5oC , humidity 45% - 85%, atmospheric pressure 86kPa - 106kPa;
2. Test object:
Newly shipped (within 2 months from the date of production and unused) standard battery
system.
3. Testing Method:
A. Discharge at a rate of 0.5C until the total voltage of the battery reaches 44.8V(GL48100),
and the discharge ends;
B. Rest 0.5h;
C. 0.5C rate constant current charging to the total battery voltage of 55.2V (GL48100), and
then 55.2V (GL48100) constant voltage charging until the charging current is less than or
equal to 0.05C, the charging ends;
D. Rest 0.5h;
E. Discharge at a rate of 0.5C until the total voltage of the battery reaches 44.8V (GL48100),
and the discharge ends;
F. Rest 0.5h.
Repeat steps C-F for a total of 3 times, and take the average value of the discharged power.
Note: The end-of-discharge voltage 44.8V (GL48100) is the protection voltage designed for
the battery system. When the battery may not reach the end-of-discharge voltage in application
scenarios such as extending the cycle life or extending the standby time of the energy storage
system, please contact GT Powertank technicians for technical support.

3. Warranty Restrictions
This warranty service is limited by the following terms. If any of the following terms are not
strictly followed, the warranty service will be suspended.
3.1 Storage Requirements
Power retention requirements:
When the battery system needs to be stored for a long time, please charge the battery system
to 50% of the power, and charge and discharge at least once every 1month.
If the battery system capacity is abnormally attenuated due to long-term loss of electricity and
storage, the warranty will not be given.
Environmental requirements:
• ambient temperature 0oC - 35oC(if it is difcult to achieve, the maximum temperature of
the storage environment should not exceed 40oC );
• relative humidity 45% - 85%;
• atmospheric pressure 70kPa - 106kPa;
• placed in a clean, dry, ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight, avoid contact with corrosive
substances, and stay away from re and heat sources.
If the storage of the battery at high temperature leads to the abnormal attenuation of the
capacity of the battery system, the warranty will not be given.
3.2 Transport Requirements
During transportation, avoid violent vibration, impact or squeeze on this product, and prevent
sun and rain. In the process of loading and unloading, the product should be handled with care
to prevent falling, rolling, and heavy pressure.
If the battery system is damaged due to improper handling, the warranty will not be given.
3.3 Installation Requirements
Operational requirements:
The battery system must be operated and installed by installers and installers who have been
approved or authorized by GT Powertank.
If the battery system is damaged due to illegal operations by unauthorized personnel, the
warranty will not be granted.
Installation environment requirements:
The installation site should be clean, dry, and ventilated, avoid direct sunlight, avoid contact
with corrosive substances, keep away from re and heat sources, and keep away from
electromagnetic complex environments.
If the installation site does not meet the requirements, the battery system enters water, dust,
corrosion, or is subject to strong electromagnetic interference, and the battery system cannot
be used normally, the warranty will not be provided.

3.4 Battery System Application Requirements
Stand-alone use:
Please select the inverter model listed in our company according to the requirements of the
product manual (please refer to the manual for the list of inverters).
Overpower applications or set parameters that do not meet the requirements of the product
manual are regarded as abuse of the battery system, the warranty will not be provided.
Parallel use:
Please strictly follow the requirements of the product manual for parallel application.
If it is not used in parallel according to the requirements of the manual, the adverse
consequences will not be guaranteed.
3.5 Force Majeure
Natural Disasters:
Damage to the battery system caused by natural disasters, including, but not limited to, res,
oods, extreme cold, extreme heat and other harsh environments, will not be guaranteed.
Human factors:
Human factors, including, but not limited to, war, theft, intentional damage to the battery,
abuse of the battery beyond the battery environment or operating conditions (judged by BMS
recorded data), resulting in damage to the battery system will not be guaranteed.
3.6 Exclusions
• This warranty will not apply to a defect or fault to the extent to which one or more of
these conditions arises:
• The normal wear and tear of parts during use (visual loss) does not affect the charging and
discharging performance and safety of the battery system;
• Third-party repairs and modications to the battery system that are not authorized by GT
Powertank;
• Privately replace any spare parts that are not produced, sold or approved by GT
Powertank;
• The battery system is damaged due to the abnormal operation of other equipment (such as
the abnormal operation of inverter, photovoltaic, charger, etc.);
• The battery system whose product nameplate or serial number has been modied, altered,
or illegible;
• The performance of the product or the function of some components is known to be
damaged, but the battery system is damaged due to continued use;
• The battery system components have been incomplete, but continue to use, resulting in
damage to the battery system.

4. Customer’s assistance in returning the faulty unit
Following the receipt of the replacement unit, the customer must return the allegedly faulty unit
in the same packaging material as the replacement unit. GT will supply all labels, documentation
and freight details for the return of the allegedly faulty unit. All allegedly faulty units must be
returned within 10 (ten) working days of the receipt of the replacement unit. A qualied installer
must be available for the unit exchange and re-commissioning. The replacement unit will be
covered by the original warranty terms of the faulty unit for the remaining warranty period of
the faulty unit.
5. Distributor Responsibility
In the event of an equipment failure or fault, it is the Distributor responsibility to work directly
with GT Service Center in order to limit the return of non-faulty equipment.
GT Service Center will work with the Distributor to rectify the fault or fault message through
telephone support or with direct PC links.
Note: In order to qualify for further compensation and a replacement unit, the distributor/
installer must rst contact GT and fulll the distributor/installer’s responsibilities under Section
“how to make a claim”.
6. Wrong Deliveries and Transit Damage
Wrong deliveries, incorrect or damaged packing and transit damage claims are not warranty
claims. Such cases should be referred to Customer Service by [email protected].
7. How to Make a Warranty Claim
If a Product fails within the Warranty period, the end-user must stop using the Product or the
system in which the Product is installed as the case may be by isolating the Product from any
energy source, make a claim as soon as possible and follow all instructions provided by us, or
our representative or agents.
To make a Warranty claim under this voluntary warranty, the end-user must contact distributor

the following information to hand:
• your name, address, postcode and a telephone number where you can be contacted;
• the model designation and serial number of the Product (you can nd both on the Product);
• proof of purchase with date and address of the vendor;
• installation date and installation address;
• signed commissioning report or protocol;
• contact details of the installer;
• a complete and detailed list of observed faults and other information which could help with
the analysis of the fault (e.g. any modications).

8. Costs of Submitting a Warranty Claim
For invalid claims under this Warranty, we will not be liable for the end-user’s costs in making
the warranty claim, including transport or return freight.In respect of valid claims under this
Warranty, the end-user will not be charged for reasonable costs associated with the making of a
warranty claim, including warranty processing costs, the cost of replacement parts or freight.
Reimbursement for necessary and reasonably incurred . costs or expenses in making valid
warranty claims under this Warranty may be claimed from us. Documentary evidence in support
of such claim will be required.
9. Deadlines for Submitting Warranty Claims
We aim to rectify genuine quality problems as a priority. This is generally achieved by
investigating why defective products have failed and by introducing immediate corrective action
measures to prevent reoccurring of the warranty failures. It is therefore critical that all claims
under this Warranty are promptly submitted to us as soon as the Product fails, and in any
event, within three months of knowledge of the matter of event giving rise to the claim. No
consideration will be given to claims under this Warranty which are made after this period.
10. Product Liability and Product Safety
We should be informed immediately about any potential product safety concerns within and
outside the warranty period. We are well aware of our product liability and product safety
obligations and responsibilities. It is our aim to ensure appropriate product safety standards are
met in order to avoid injury, loss and damage caused by defects in any Product.
