MEITRAC I–III sind Endo-Sicherheitssysteme für das präzise Greifen und schnelle,
kontrollierteEntfernen abgebrochenerFragmentewie z.B.Wurzelkanalinstrumente,
Wurzelfüllstifte, Wurzelstifte und Silberstifte aus dem Wurzelkanal. Die Systeme
sind so ausgelegt, dass Fragmente mit Durchmessern von 0,15 bis 0,50 mm
(MEITRAC I), 0,55 bis 0,90 mm (MEITRAC II) sowie 0,95 bis 1,50 mm (MEITRAC
III) sicher entfernt werden können. Damit ist MEITRAC I speziell für die Entfernung
abgebrochener Wurzelkanalinstrumente (z.B. Feilen) bestimmt, wohingegen
MEITRAC II für die Entfernung von Wurzelfüllstiften und Silberstiften entwickelt
wurde. MEITRAC III dient insbesondere der Entfernung von Wurzelstiftfragmenten
aus dem Zahn. Alle MEITRAC-Systeme aus rostfreiem Chirurgiestahl ermöglichen
eine minimalinvasive Behandlung und damit den weitgehenden Erhalt gesunder
Zahnsubstanz. Das zu entfernende Fragment wird mit Hilfe eines Trepans freige-
legt. Dieser ist durch eine optimierte Konstruktion so klein gestaltet, dass lediglich
ein Minimum der gesunden Zahnsubstanz entfernt wird. Mit dem Extraktor kann
das Fragment dann einfach gefasst werden. Das neu entwickelte Prä-
zisionsspannfutter ermöglicht damit die einfache Übertragung großer Zugkräfte, so
dass sogar größere Fragmente problemlos und sicher entfernt werden können.
With this endodontic safety-system, broken fragments can be grasped and removed
successfully, precisely, and quickly, e.g. from root canal instruments, root filling pins,
silver points and root-posts from the root canal. These systems are designed in
such a way that fragments with diameters of 0.15 to 0.50 mm (MEITRAC I), 0.55
to 0.90 mm (MEITRAC II), as well as 0.95 to 1.50 mm (MEITRAC III) can be remo-
ved safely. In this respect MEITRAC I is specialised for removal of broken root canal
instruments (e.g. fragments of a file), whereas MEITRAC II is designed for removal
of defective root-filling pins and silver points. MEITRAC III serves the removal of
root-post fragments in the root canal. All MEITRAC systems are made of stainless
surgical steel. They permit minimally invasive procedure to preserve sound dental
tissue from being damaged. The fragment to be removed is exposed by the trephi-
ne. This instrument is optimally constructed so that only a minimal amount of sound
dental tissue is damaged. The fragment can be grasped easily with the extractor.
The newly developed friction-grip chuck enables the user to transmit traction
easily so that even larger fragments can be extracted without problems.

Freilegen des Fragments und Erweitern des Zugangs, indem der Trepan
vorsichtig (mit Drehbewegungen) über das Fragment geführt wird (auf
Bohrungstiefe und Kühlung achten; das Arbeitsfeld mit physiologischer
Kochsalzlösung beträufeln; bei MEITRAC III auf die Auswahl des zum
Extraktor passenden Trepans achten). Der röhrenförmig konzipierte
Trepan mit Ventilationsbohrung ermöglicht ein spannungsfreies Arbeiten.
Excavation of fragments and dilatation of the access canal by which
the trephine (with rotating motion) is carefully conducted over the
fragment (pay attention to drilling depth and cooling; irrigate the pre-
paration site with Ringer´s solution; in MEITRAC III, be sure to select the trephine
which corresponds to the extractor). The tube-like designed trephine features perfo-
rations for ventilation and makes sensitive work possible.
Acceso al fragmento y ampliación del canal con el trépano en marcha (tener en cuenta
la profundidad de la perforación y la refrigeración; gotear el campo de trabajo con suero
fisiológico; con MEITRAC III hay que tener en cuenta la elección del trépano adecuado
para el extractor). El trépano concebido de forma tubular con una perforación de venti-
lación facilita un trabajo libre de tensiones.
Den Extraktor vorsichtig über das Fragment hinaus in den Wurzel-
kanal einführen. Bei der Auswahl des Extraktors ist der Durchmes-
ser des n im Wurzelkanal festsitzenden Fragmentes zu beachten
(siehe Tabelle). Die Verwendung einer ungeeigneten Extraktoren-
größe kann zur Beeinträchtigung der Funktion führen.
Introduce the extractor gently into the root canal slightly over the
fragment. Select the extractor’s diameter according to the diame-
ter of the fragment lodged in the root canal. Using an unsuitable
extractor size can lead to operational damage.
Introducir el extractor con cuidado en el conducto radicular y colocarlo por encima
del fragmento. Al elegir el extractor hay que tener en cuenta el diámetro del
fragmento atascado en el conducto radicular (véase la tabla). El uso de un tamaño
inadecuado de extractor puede llevar a un deterioro funcional.

Grasp the fragment by pressing down the upper part of the
extractor around smoothly.

Keep the parts of the extractor squeezed tightly together and
remove the fragment gently.

El sistema de prevención de endodoncia sirve para agarrar y sacar instrumentos frac-
turados, p.e. instrumentos de conducto, clavijas y clavijas de plata del conducto radicu-
lar en un proceso rápido y preciso. Estos sistemas están concebidos para remover
fragmentos con diámetros de 0,15 a 0,50 mm (MEITRAC I), de 0,55 a 0,90 mm
(MEITRAC II) y de 0,95 a 1,50 mm (MEITRAC III) sin problemas. Para remover frag-
mentos de los instrumentos de conducto radicular (limas) sirve el MEITRAC I, en
cambio el MEITRAC II se usa para remover pivotes de obturación radiculares y clavijas
de plata y el MEITRAC III para fragmentos de clavijas radiculares. Todos los sistemas
MEITRAC de acero inoxidable propio para cirugía permiten un tratamiento con inter-
vención mínima, conservando lo máximo posible la substancia sana del diente. El tré-
pano sirve para posibilitar el acceso al fragmento a remover. Este instrumento, con-
struido especialmente con dimensiones pequeñas, solo elimina un mínimo de la sub-
stancia dental. Con el extractor se agarra simlemente el fragmento. El último diseño de
la mordaza de extracción de alta precisión facilita una transmisión de altas fuerzas de
tracción de manera que se pueden remover hasta mayores fragmentos sin problema.
