For a small blue planet
The 124-year heritage of Mercedes-Benz is rich with evidence of our respect for the earth and its inhabitants, both in the vehicles we make and in the ways we make
them. We introduced the world’s first CFC-free car, not just in its air conditioning but throughout its entire manufacturing process. We’ve been using water-borne paints
for years, and source the wood for our interior trim from responsibly sustained forests. We’ve been pioneering advanced powertrains for generations, from today’s new
hybrid models and 50-state clean diesels to the fuel cell vehicles of tomorrow. Mercedes-Benz is also legendary for producing automobiles of extraordinary durability,
with 88% of the vehicles sold in the last 20 years — and a remarkable 75% of all the vehicles we’ve ever sold in the U.S. — still on the road.14 After all, it takes virtually
the same amount of energy to build vehicles that last as ones that won’t.
Our new, more compact brochures consume fewer resources as well, starting with the recycled coated paper they’re printed on. It contains at least 10% post-consumer
waste, has earned Chain of Custody certifications from the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) and Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC), and is produced using Green-e®
certified renewable energy. And the brochures are printed in facilities that purchase renewable energy — including wind power, solar energy and hydropower — and use
technologies that reduce both their carbon footprint and the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into our small blue planet’s atmosphere. Caring innovation
comes from blue-sky thinking — sometimes quite literally. It’s what you can expect from the automaker who’s been sharing this planet with you for longer than anyone.
This is who we are. This is Mercedes-Benz.

For every kid who balked at having to come inside for dinner at the end of a summer day, this is your
payback. Your very own machine that lets you take control of time. Touch a button, and in 22 seconds
it miraculously transforms from a racy coupe into a purebred open roadster. In about six seconds
more, it can convert your surroundings into a 60-mph blur. And when the warm summer sun fades
over the cool horizon, there’s even an option that magically extends your top-down playtime. More
time to have fun. Less time to wait for it. Is it magic? Or just fantastic? This is the 2010 SLK-Class.
The powerful magic of a sports car. The magical powers of a time machine.
SLK 300 shown with Black leather interior. Please see endnotes in back of brochure.
Its inspiration started on a finish line. No other sports car can stake a claim on where the SLK-Class earned
its performance pedigree. Because only one automaker won the very rst car race in history. But Mercedes-Benz has never
rested on its Star and Laurel. The SLK has served as the ofcial pace car of Formula 1 — the inspiration for its sleek design.
And it comes from a lifelong passion for every measure of performance — the reason it will inspire you, too.
The SLK 300’s 228-hp 3.0-liter V-6 easily
whisks you to 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds.
Or race there in a 5.4-second ash with
the SLK 350’s 300-hp 3.5-liter V-6.1
The only 7-speed automatic transmission
in its class2 adapts to your driving style.
Optional paddle shifters, or the SLK 300’s
6-speed manual, let you shift it yourself.
With its Direct-steer system and staggered-
width 17" alloy wheels and tires,3 the SLK’s
handling is crisper in corners, surefooted on
straightaways, and more stable at speed.

Engineered from the top down, to be enjoyed with the top down. A distinct sense of freedom washes over you as the retractable hardtop vanishes
into the trunk with a gymnastic twist. And yet what’s rooted in place imparts an unwavering sense of well-being. Two rigid steel roll bars are welded to its robust body
structure. Its Tele Aid System stands guard so help can nd you after an accident. And the unyielding Mercedes-Benz devotion to safety is at the core of every SLK, from
its Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) to its six air bags. By taking its engineering so wholeheartedly, the SLK lets you drive to your heart’s content.
SLK 350 shown with optional Palladium Silver metallic paint and Natural Beige Premium leather interior. Please see endnotes in back of brochure.
The SLK-Class is a sports car you can savor
any day — or night — of the year. Optional
Bi-Xenon headlamps feature high-pressure
washers to help maintain good lighting in
bad weather, as well as corner-illuminating
foglamps to help you see better into curves.
The lightweight body of the SLK-Class is
strategically reinforced with high-strength
steel, aluminum and magnesium. Dual
micro-alloy steel roll bars and oval steel
tubes in the A-pillars help to preserve occupant
space in a rollover,4 even with the top down.
Its six air bags include dual knee air bags
and head/thorax side-impact air bags.5 Seat
belts feature Emergency Tensioning Devices
(ETDs) and adaptive belt-force limiters. And
if an air bag deploys, Tele Aid can automatically
call for help, even if you can’t.6
Accident avoidance is the ultimate form of
occupant protection. So every SLK comes
with an agile 4-wheel independent suspension,
emergency-sensing Brake Assist, and the
handling reassurance of ESP.7 All of which, by
the way, were pioneered by Mercedes-Benz.
Sport seating. 8-way adjustable sport seats and a 4-way steering
column make nding your ideal driving position a snap. Wrapped
in Premium leather, the 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel lets
you personalize numerous vehicle settings via an in-dash display.
Audio and navigation. The optional Multimedia Package features
COMAND with a 6.5" screen, voice control and 40GB-hard-drive-
based navigation.9 It also includes 6-DVD/CD audio-video, an SD
card reader, SIRIUS® Satellite Radio10 with SIRIUS Trafc™ and HD
Digital Radio, plus Zagat® Survey ratings for restaurants, hotels
and golf courses. Opt for the 11-speaker harman/kardon LOGIC7®
audio system to bask in 500 watts of Dolby® Digital 5.1 sound.
Premium 1 Package. Easygoing luxuries for the driving enthusiast,
this option includes power seats and steering column with memory
and 4-way lumbar support, ambient interior lighting, rain-sensing
wipers, iPod® integration11 and SmartKey control of the hardtop.
Year-round comfort. The SLK is always in season with dual-zone
climate control, also available with an enhanced digital operating
panel. Optional AIRSCARF provides three settings of neck-level
heating so you can delight in top-down driving in cooler weather.
The 2010 SLK‑Class. Just a twist of the key and the
throaty growl of its engine sends your cares far away.
Yet at once you nd yourself hand-in-glove with the thrill
of driving a true sports car. Two boldly contoured seats
cradle you in leather. Aluminum or optional Burl Walnut
wood trim, silver-accented controls and rubber-studded
stainless-steel pedals energize your senses, and reward
your every move. Deeply hooded gauges, a 5" color-LCD
display and Bluetooth® interface8 keep you in touch. And
a single button grants you innite headroom, sunshine
and sports-car bliss: the signature retractable hardtop.

ENDNOTES
1 Stated rates of acceleration are based upon manufacturer’s track results and may vary depending on model,
environmental and road surface conditions, driving style, elevation and vehicle load.
2 Automatic transmission is standard on SLK 350 and optional on SLK 300.
3 Lower aspect-ratio tires and accompanying wheels provide substantially increased treadwear, increased tire noise
and reduced ride comfort. Serious wheel and tire damage may occur if the vehicle is operated on rough or damaged
road surfaces or upon encountering road debris or obstacles. These tires are not designed for use on snow and ice.
Winter tires mounted on appropriately sized and approved wheels are recommended for driving in those conditions.
4 The roll bar system is designed to enhance the level of rollover protection compared to a vehicle without one. No system,
regardless of how advanced, can eliminate the chance of injury in an accident. Please always wear your seat belt.
5 WARNING: THE FORCES OF A DEPLOYING AIR BAG CAN CAUSE SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURIES TO A CHILD
UNDER AGE 13. SEE OPERATOR’S MANUAL FOR ADDITIONAL WARNINGS AND INFORMATION ON AIR BAGS,
SEAT BELTS AND CHILD SEATS.
6 First year’s Mercedes-Benz Tele Aid service provided at no additional cost with subscription. Subscription and
acquaintance call required for service to be active. Service operates only where cellular and GPS coverage are
available and requires adequate power supply. Owner must authorize vehicle tracking by providing password and
a valid stolen vehicle police report number. Password required to activate Remote Door Unlock. See dealer for
details of telematics services.
7 No system, regardless of how advanced, can overcome the laws of physics or correct careless driving. Please
always wear your seat belt. Performance is limited by available traction, which snow, ice and other conditions can
affect. Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Best performance in snow is obtained with winter tires.
8 Bluetooth® interface does not provide phone charging or external antenna. Voice interactivity feature is dependent
on selected handset. Visit www.mbusa-mobile.com for details. Phone sold separately. See dealer for a list of
approved compatible phones.
9 While the navigation system provides directional assistance, the driver must remain focused on safe driving
behavior, including paying attention to trafc and street signs. The driver should utilize the system’s audio cues
while driving and should only consult the map or visual displays once the vehicle has been stopped in a safe
place. Maps do not cover all areas or all routes within an area.
10 SIRIUS® hardware and subscription required. Other fees and taxes may apply. Subscription governed by SIRIUS
Terms & Conditions at sirius.com/serviceterms. Prices and programming are subject to change. SIRIUS Radio U.S.
service only available in the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. Service available in Canada;
