This Supplement provides information on all the
important functions of your AMG vehicle that are
either not described or dier from the descrip-
tions in the Operator's Manual. This information
supplements or replaces the corresponding sec-
tions in thevehicle Operator's Manual. Under no
circumstances does the Supplement replace the
printed vehicle Operator's Manual and the Digital
Operator's Manual in thevehicle.
This Supplement and the Digital Operator's Man-
ual in thevehicle describe thefollowing models,
standard and special equipment of your vehicle:
RModels, standard and special equipment avail-
able at the time of going to press with this
Supplement.
RModels, standard and special equipment that
are only available in certain countries.
RModels, standard and special equipment that
will not be used until a later date.
Note that your vehicle may not be equipped with
all features described. This also applies to safety-
relevant systems. Therefore, the equipment on
your vehicle may dier from that in the descrip-
tions and illustrations.
The purchase agreement foryour vehicle list the
equipment included in your vehicle at the time of
delivery.
Should you have any questions concerning equip-

The AMG steering-wheel buttons are two addi-
tional control elements on the steering wheel.
You can assign two vehicle functions of your
choice to the le control element. You can
change between theavailable functions by press-
ing display buttons 2repeatedly. The currently
selected function is shown in display buttons 2.
The following functions are available:

If you have assigned a function to one of display
buttons 2,you can operate this function with
corresponding button 1.
The assignment of display buttons 2remains
stored even aer a new engine start, but the oper-
ating status of therespective function is reset to
the basic setting.
You can change between the drive programs with
control knob 3. The selected drive program
appears in the display button 4. By pressing dis-
play button 4,you can directly access the=
drive program (/page 8).

This may lead to noise when braking. This eect

The automatic transmission does not shi up
in manual mode even when the engine's limit-
ing speed is reached.
The fuel supply is interrupted in order to pre-
vent the engine from overrevving.

If the engine speed is too high or too low, you
cannot change gear using the steering wheel pad-
dle shiers. In this case, segments 1light up
red.

With an anticipatory driving style, Glide mode
helps youto reduce fuel consumption.
Glide mode is characterized by thefollowing:
RThe combustion engine is switched o. All of
thevehicle functions remain active.
RThe Jsymbol appears in the instrument
display.
Glide mode is activated if thefollowing conditions
are met:
RECO start/stop function is switched on.
RDrive program=is selected with the drive
setting "Moderate" or "Reduced".
RThe speed is within a suitable range.
RThe road's course is suitable, e.g. no steep
uphill or downhill inclines or tight curves.

RThe condition of charge of the battery is su-
cient.
RYou are no longer depressing the accelerator
or brake pedal.
Glide mode is deactivated again if one of the con-
ditions is no longer met.

You can select between thefollowing modes of
the Electronic Stability Program (ESP®):

Charactactererisistics when ESPtics when ESP®®is activis activatateded
ESP®monitors and improves driving stability and
traction, particularly in thefollowing situations:
RWhen pulling away on wet or slippery road.
RWhen braking.
RVVehicles witehicles with trh trailer hitcailer hitch:h: in trailer operation
from speeds of 40 mph (65 km/h), if thevehi-
cle/trailer combination begins to sway from
side to side.
RWhen there is a strong crosswind and a driving
speed of approximately 47 mph (75 km/h) to
125 mph (200 km/h).
ESP®can stabilize thevehicle by intervening in
thefollowing ways:
ROne or more wheels are braked.
RThe engine output is adapted according to the
situation.
ESP®is activated every time thevehicle is started
regardless of whether ESP®was in ESP®SPORT
or deactivated before thevehicle was switched
o.
If the÷ESP®warning lamp ashes in the
instrument cluster, one or several wheels has
reached its grip limit:
RAdapt the driving style to suit the prevailing
road and weather conditions.
RDo not deactivate ESP®under any circumstan-
ces.
ROnly depress the accelerator pedal as far as
necessary.
CharCharactactererisistics of ESPtics of ESP®®SPORTSPORT
&WWARNINGARNING Risk of skidding if ESP®SPORT
is used incorrectly
When you activate ESP®SPORT, there is an
increased risk of skidding and having an acci-
dent.
#Activate ESP®SPORT only in the circum-
stances described below.
When ESP®SPORT is activated, theåand
Æwarning lamps light up continuously in the
instrument cluster.
Select ESP®SPORT when thevehicle's ownover-
steering and understeering characteristics are
desired, e.g. on cordoned-o roads.
Driving with ESP®SPORT or with ESP®deactiva-
tedrequires an extremely qualied and experi-
enced driver.

If ESP®SPORT is activated and one or more
wheels start to spin, the÷ESP®warning lamp
on the instrument cluster ashes. ESP®then only
stabilizes thevehicle to a limited degree.
ESP®SPORT also has thefollowing characteris-
tics:
RESP®only improves driving stability to a limi-
ted degree.
RETS/4ETS traction control is still active.
RThe engine's torque is only restrictedto a limi-
ted degree and the drive wheels can spin.
The spinning of the wheels results in a cutting
action for better traction on loose surfaces.
RESP®continues to provide assistance when
the brakes are rmly applied.
RVVehicles witehicles with trh trailer hitcailer hitch:h: stabilization of the
vehicle/trailer combination is no longer
active.
RCrosswind Assist is no longer active.
CharCharactactererisistics when ESPtics when ESP®®is deactivis deactivatateded

WARNINGARNING Risk of skidding if ESP®is
deactivated
If you deactivate ESP®, ESP®cannot carry out
vehicle stabilization.
#ESP®should only be deactivated in the
following situations.
When ESP®is deactivated, theåand ¤
warning lamps light up continuously in the instru-
ment cluster.
Deactivating ESP®has thefollowing eects:
RDriving stability will no longer be improved.
RThe drive wheels could spin.
RETS/4ETS traction control is still active.
RVVehicles witehicles with trh trailer hitcailer hitch:h: stabilization of the
vehicle/trailer combination is no longer
active.
RCrosswind Assist is no longer active.
%Even when ESP®is deactivated, you are still
assisted by ESP®when braking hard.
It may be best to activate ESP®SPORT or deacti-
vate ESP®in thefollowing situations:
RWhen using snow chains.
RIn deep snow.
ROn sand or gravel.
%Spinning the wheels results in a cutting
action, which enhances traction.
%Activate ESP®as soon as the situations
described above no longer apply. ESP®will
otherwise not be able to stabilize thevehicle if
thevehicle starts to skid or a wheel starts to
spin.
If the÷ESP®warning lamp lights up continu-
ously, ESP®is not available due to a malfunction.
Observe any information which is displayed in the
instrument cluster:

ETS/4ETS traction control is part of ESP®.

The AMG adaptive sport suspension system + is
an air suspension system with variable damping
for improved driving characteristics. The all-round
level control system ensures the best possible
suspension and constant ground clearance, even
with a laden vehicle. When driving at speed, the
vehicle is lowered automatically to improve driving
safety and to reduce fuel consumption. You also
have the option of manually adjusting thevehicle
level.

The damping is set individually for each wheel and
is aected by thefollowing factors:

RRoad condition, e.g. bumps

The AMG adaptive sport suspension system +
includes thefollowing components and functions:
RAir suspension with variable spring rate and
automatic level control
RSpeed-dependent lowering to reduce fuel con-
sumption
RManually selectable high-level setting for
greater ground clearance
RADS PLUS (Adaptive Damping System with
constant damping force adjustment)
RDYNAMIC SELECT switch and level button
RRocker switch for suspension settings

when driving at speeds of 43 mph (70 km/h)
or above.
Drive programF:
RThe suspension setting and the all-wheel drive
4MATIC+ are adaptedfor driving in areas with
no rm road surfaces.
RThe vehicle is set to high level (+1).

when driving at speeds of 43 mph (70 km/h)

RThe vehicle is not lowered any further if you
are traveling at higher speeds.

pared to the normal level (0):

In addition, you can select the setting in every
drive program using theärocker switch in the
center console. Aer a drive program is changed,
the automatic suspension setting of the drive pro-
gram is reactivated.

The AMG active adaptive sport suspension system
additionally supplements the functions of the
AMG adaptive sport suspension system + with an
active roll stabilization system. Depending on the
selected driving program, the suspension setting
is adaptedto the driving situation by inuencing
thevehicle's roll behavior with active stabilizers.
As a result, the driving comfort and safety of the
vehicle are noticeably improved. The stabilizers on
the front and rear axle can also be controlled sep-
arately to inuence more dynamic handling.

more agile through targeted interventions.

RIndividual settings of the suspension setting

-Basic: reduction of lean during cornering
-Advanced: increased reduction of lean dur-
ing cornering
-Pro: signicantly increased reduction of
lean during cornering
-Pro plus: signicantly increased reduction
of lean during cornering and increased
agility of thevehicle's handling through tar-
geted interventions by the system

In CCOMFOMFORTORT mode, the driving characteristics of
your vehicle are comfortable. Select this suspen-
sion setting if you prefer a comfortable driving
style.
SPORTSPORT driving mode ensures a rmer suspension.
Select this suspension setting when employing a
sporty driving style, e.g. on winding country
roads.
SPOR
SPORT+T+ driving mode ensures a very rm suspen-
sion.

When lowering thevehicle, people could
become trapped if their limbs are between the
vehicle body and the tires or underneath the
vehicle.
#Make sure no one is underneath the
vehicle or in the immediate vicinity of the
wheel arches when thevehicle is being
lowered.

RThe vehicle has been started.
RThe vehicle must not be moving faster than
40 mph (65 km/h).
