Quick Start Guide
Version 3.2 / November 2014

Introduction
Welcome to the HomeNet Intelligent Router Quick Start Guide. Please refer to the
User Guide for complete information on using your HomeNet router. The latest
version available at www.homenetrouter.com/support/.
Set-up
1: Unplug the AC adapter from the power outlet and disconnect it from your Internet modem.
2: Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your Internet modem.
1. Unplug and disconnect the cables from your existing modem setup.
1: Connect the included Ethernet cable from your Internet modem to the WAN port on the
HomeNet Router (as shown below).

Getting Started
1: Locate the included Installation CD and insert it into your computer.
2: Click Router Setup and follow the steps shown on-screen.
3: You will be redirected to the HomeNet Router registration page.

1: Locate the HomeNet Router Wi-Fi
Information Card.
2: Connect to the HomeNet Network
using the provided password.
1: Connect an Ethernet cable (not
provided) from your computer to
the HomeNet Router.
4: Insert your Internet modem’s AC adapter into the DC-IN port and plug it to a power outlet.
3: Power on the HomeNet Router by pressing the
power button located on the back of the router.
2: Insert the AC adapter into the DC-IN port on the HomeNet Router and plug it to a power
outlet.
5: Connect to the HomeNet Router wirelessly or directly (Recommended).

Important Notes:
1: If you are unable to use the Installation CD, type in http://homenetrouter.net/ into the address
 eldofyourbrowserandclickEnter.
2: Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox are not recommended for the full set of HomeNet router
features. Please use Google Chrome, Safari, or Internet Explorer 10 and later.
2. Registering your HomeNet Router.
Firefox, Internet Explorer 9 registration (not recommended):
The HomeNet Router registration page on Firefox and
Internet Explorer 9 will appear different than the Google
Chrome, Safari & Internet Explorer 10 and later browsers
(as seen to the right).
TherouterispreconguredwiththeHomeNetwirelessnetworkSSID.TheWi-Fipasswordis
located on the included Wi-Fi information card and also on the bottom of the router.
For information on changing the SSIDs or WiFi password please see the HomeNet Router
support page at http://homenetrouter.com/resets.
Google Chrome, Safari & Internet Explorer 10 and later registration:
Eastern: UTC-5:00 Central: UTC-6:00
Mountain: UTC-7:00 Pacic:UTC-8:00
Connection Speed: Enter your connection speed.
► Note: If you do not know your connection speed,
press the help icon for information.
Password: Create a password to login to your HomeNet Router interface.
Note: If you forget your password, please go to www.homenetrouter.com/password-reset
for instructions on how to reset your password.
Label: Enter the 10 digit number located on the bottom
of the HomeNet Router and on the included Wi-Fi
information card.
► Note: The label ID is automatically lled in when
using the Installation Disc.
E-mail: Enter a valid email address.
Time Zone: Choose your local time zone.
