Congratulations on your purchase of the TempMinder MRC680SJ. We hope you find these instructions
user friendly and easy to follow.
Main Unit
Remove protective cover from display front (otherwise the numbers will seem blurred and they won’t
change –Ha –get it??)
Insert 2 AAA batteries (use alkaline type for best results)
To Set Clock:
(Note: if you press & hold the “C/F” button, the numbers will scroll rapidly. Also, you have a full 60 seconds to
input the next piece of information).
Press and release “SET”. The hour will flash.
Press “C/F” button to adjust to correct hour.
Press “SET” to confirm – Minutes will now flash
Press “C/F” button to adjust to correct minutes.
Press “SET” to confirm. Seconds will now flash.
Press “C/F” button to start at Zero or simply press “SET” if seconds are not important.
Congratulations! You’ve just programmed the clock!
To Set Calendar (Date):
Press and release “MODE” button two times then press and release “SET” button. The year will now be
flashing.
Press “C/F” button to adjust to the correct year. Note if you go past the correct year, simply hold in the
“C/F” button. The years will fly by right through 2099 and start over again. When you have the correct
year flashing, press “SET” to confirm. The month will now flash.
Press “C/F” to adjust to correct month.
Press “SET” to confirm. The day will now flash.
Press “C/F” to adjust to the correct day.
Press “SET” to confirm.
The screen should now have the correct time, month and day (+date). Well done!
To Select ºC or ºF:
Press and release the C/F button to change. Yes, that’s all!
To Set Alarm:
Press and release “MODE” button once. Clock will display 12:00 AM with “AL” showing on right side.
Press “SET” – hour will begin flashing.
Press “C/F” to adjust to desired hour
Press “SET” to confirm – the minutes will now flash

Press “C/F” to adjust to desired minute
Press “SET” to confirm.
Press “C/F” to activate alarm (small bell will appear above hour)
Unit will display alarm time for 60 seconds before returning to its normal mode.
To de-activate the alarm, press the “MODE” button once, then press the “C/F” button once. You will see the
small bell icon disappear. To re-activate, do the same thing.
To check your alarm time setting, simply press the “MODE” button once. The time displayed is when the
alarm will be activated.
When alarm is sounding, press “CHANNEL” button for a 5 minute “Snooze” time OR any other button to
turn off the alarm.
Temperature Readings Overview:
In addition to the Time & Date info, your display should also be showing the indoor temperature. If you
press the “CHANNEL” button three times (past channel #3), the display will give you the Indoor Humidity.
Remote Temperatures can be monitored up to 25 or 30 meters (75 to 100 feet). By pressing the “CHANNEL”
button you will notice there are three channel settings possible. You may purchase additional transmitters if so
desired. Model # is RS150.
Remote Transmitter Operation:
Remove 4 screws on rear of RS150 transmitter (one unit included)
Insert 3 AAA Alkaline batteries (or Lithium if temperatures drop below minus 20 C/-4 F)
Select C or F setting on remote
Select channel 1, 2 or 3 on remote
Replace back –take care not to damage rubber “O” ring seal.
The RS150 transmits the temperature every 10 seconds. The unit will display the channel,
temperature and every 10 seconds a small icon indicating that it is sending the information.
Remote Temperature Reception:
On the main unit, Press the “CHANNEL” button until you see the correct channel number (1, 2
or 3).
The unit will search for 90 seconds and display the temperature at the bottom of the screen.If the
temperature is not received, change the location of the transmitter or receiver. Scroll through the
“CHANNEL” button again to re-activate the search mode.
NOTE: If after several months you loose reception, it is usually the batteries that need replacing (both
transmitter and receiver). Also, as batteries age (weaken) or the temperature drops, the transmission distance
will decrease.
This product is guaranteed against manufacturing defects (not including batteries) for a period of one year.
