Once again MINOX proves that a genuine
classic is well worth an extraordinary revi-
val. MINOX based with the Classic Camera
Leica M3 the most succesful Leica of all
time true to the original in the scale 1:2.5.
Like its predecessor the Classic Camera
Leica III f, the Classic Camera Leica M3 is
not only impressive because of its unique
design, but also because of its excellent
photographic results. This is guaranteed by
the well-known MINOX 8x11 mm film, the
Minoctar 1:5.6 / 15 mm lens (3 lens ele-
ments in three groups) and, last but not
least, by the stable metal casing with en-
graved serial number. Set in a fine wooden
case this truly functional miniature should
cause the collector´s heart to beat faster.

Original Leica M3
Two creations that are making
history: The Leica M3 and the MINOX
miniature camera
The fact that a Leica is far more than a ca-
mera has been proved time and again by
its creators. A good example is the Leica
M3, which had its great moment in 1954 –
four years after the launch of the elegant
masterpiece, the Leica IIIf. With its built-in
bright line view and range finder and its in-
novative bayonet interchanger for the lens,
the Leica M3 was a technical revolution
that took the hearts of notable photogra-
phers and experts by storm. And what
about MINOX? For a long time this name,
whose triumphant progress also began in
the early 1950s, has been synonymous with
miniature cameras. The creation of the ge-
nius Walter Zapp, now 96, provides unpar-
alleled evidence of how 375 individual
components can be combined into a sensa-
tional (small) unit.
