Einleitung
Diese Anleitung soll Ihnen helfen, das Leis-
tungsspektrum Ihres MINOX Spektives optimal
zu nutzen.

Bei Beobachtungen durch Ihr MINOX Spektiv
mit aufgesetzter Brille muss die Stülpaugen-
muschel umgestülpt werden, damit Sie das
volle Sehfeld ohne Bildbeschneidung am Rand
überblicken können.
Vergrößern und Scharfstellen
Der Ring (2) ermöglicht eine stufenlose Ver-
größerung bzw. Verkleinerung (Zoom). Durch
Drehen des Fokussierrades (3) kann das
beobachtete Objekt scharf eingestellt werden.
Benutzung mit und ohne Brille
Ihr MINOX Spektiv verfügt über eine so-
genannte Stülpaugenmuschel, also eine
stülpbare Augenmuschel aus elastischem
Gummi, über die Sie den Augenabstand anpas-
sen können, je nachdem ob Sie mit oder ohne
Brille durch Ihr MINOX Spektiv beobachten.
Nutzer, die bei der Beobachtung durch das
Spektiv keine Brille tragen, belassen die
Stülpaugenmuschel im ausgestülpten Zustand
(Werksauslieferungszustand). In dieser Position
ist der richtige Abstand zwischen Augenpupil-
le und Okularlinse gegeben. Diese Einstellung
ermöglicht zudem eine ruhige Auflage Ihres
Spektivs am Auge und gewährleistet eine
Minimierung des Streulichts.

Stativmontage
Um eine verwacklungsfreie Beobachtung zu
gewährleisten, empfiehlt es sich – gerade bei
höheren Vergrößerungen – das im Lieferum-
fang enthaltene Stativ einzusetzen. Hierzu ist
Ihr MINOX Spektiv an der Unterseite mit einem
1/4" Stativgewinde (5) ausgerüstet.
Pflegetipps
Verunreinigungen beeinträchtigen die Hel-
ligkeit Ihres MINOX Spektives. Deshalb
empfehlen wir, Fingerabdrücke, Staub und
andere Verunreinigungen der Objektiv- und
Okularoberflächen mit einem weichen Haar-
pinsel oder dem MINOX Optik-Reinigungskit
(Best.-Nr. 69731) zu entfernen.
Achtung
Bitte blicken Sie mit einem Spektiv nicht in
die Sonne. Es könnte zu Augenverletzungen
führen.

> Abhilfe/Erklärung
a) Kopfhaltung,Augen- oder Spektivposition
korrigieren.
b) Anpassung korrigieren: Brillenträger stülpen
die Augenmuschel ein; bei Beobachtungen
ohne Brille: Stülpaugenmuschel ausstülpen.
Was tun, wenn ...
> Problem
Bei Beobachtung wird kein kreisrundes Bild
ohne Vignettierung erreicht.
> Bedienungsfehler
a) Die Pupille des Beobachters liegt nicht in
der Austrittspupille des Okulars.
b) Die Stellung der Stülpaugenmuschel ent-
spricht nicht der richtigen Benutzung mit
und ohne Brille.

Gewährleistungsbestimmungen
Mit dem Kauf dieses MINOX Spektives haben
Sie ein Produkt erworben, das nach besonders
strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien hergestellt und
geprüft wurde. Die für dieses Produkt geltende
gesetzliche Gewährleistung von 2 Jahren wird
von uns ab dem Tag des Verkaufs durch einen
autorisierten Händler unter folgenden Bedin-
gungen übernommen:
1) In der Gewährleistungszeit werden Bean-
standungen, die auf Fabrikationsfehlern
beruhen, kostenlos und nach eigenem Er-
messen durch Instandsetzung, Austausch
defekter Teile oder Umtausch in ein gleichar-
tiges einwandfreies Erzeugnis behoben.
Weitergehende Ansprüche, gleich welcher
Art und gleich aus welchem Rechtsgrund im
Kundendienst

4) Bei Inanspruchnahme der Gewährleistung
leiten Sie bitte das MINOX Spektiv, zusammen
mit dem Original des maschinengeschriebe-
nen Kaufbelegs und einer Schilderung der
Beanstandung dem Kundendienst der MINOX
GmbH oder einer Landesvertretung zu.
5) Touristen steht im Bedarfsfalle unter Vorlage
des Maschinengeschriebenen Kaufbelegs die
Vertretung des Jeweiligen Reiselandes ge-
mäß den Regelungen zur Gewährleistung
der MINOX GmbH zur Verfügung.
Zusammenhang mit dieser Gewährleistung,
sind ausgeschlossen.
2) Gewährleistungsansprüche entfallen, wenn
der betreffende Mangel auf unsachgemäße
Behandlung – wozu auch die Verwendung
von Fremdzubehör zählen kann – zurück-
zuführen ist oder ein Eingriff von nicht
autorisierten Personen und Werkstätten
durchgeführt wurde.
3) Gewährleistungsansprüche können nur bei
Vorlage eines Maschinengeschriebenen
Kaufbelegs eines autorisierten Händlers
geltend gemacht werden.

Zooming and focusing
The zoom ring (2) is used to zoom in or out
steplessly on the object being viewed. Turning
the focus (2) knob will bring the object into
sharp focus.
Attention
Please NEVER look directly into the sun with
your spotting scope! This will lead to irrepara-
ble damage to the eye.
Use with and without glasses
Your MINOX spotting scope is equipped with
a folding eyecup made of elastic rubber to
ensure the best possible viewing comfort and
proper eye distance to the ocular lens – proper
eye distance serves to reduce stray light and
vignetting at the edges of your field of view.
Those who do not wear eyeglasses should
leave the eyecup in the extended position
(state of delivery) and eyeglass wearers should
fold the eyecup down.

Use with a tripod
To ensure the best possible shake-free image,
it is recommended to use the tripod included in
the delivery, especially when viewing objects
at higher zoom factors.Attach the tripod to the
¼"tripod socket (5) found on the bottom of
your spotting scope.
Care tips
Soiling impairs the brightness of your MINOX
spotting scope. It is highly recommended to
remove fingerprints, dust and other forms of
soiling from the surfaces of your objective and
ocular lenses using a soft hair brush or the
MINOX lens care kit (order number 69731).

> Solution
a) Reposition the head e.g. eye at the ocular
until the vignetting disappears.
b) Correct by folding the eyecup down for
eyeglass wearers, or up for those who do
not wear eyeglasses.
What to do if ...
> Problem
there is vignetting at the edges of the image
ie. the view is not in a perfect circle.
> Operational error
a) The pupil of your eye is not at the centre of
the ocular.
b) The position of the eyecup is not set prop-
erly for use with or without glasses.

With the purchase of this MINOX Spotting
Scope you have acquired a product which has
been manufactured and checked to special
quality standards. For this product the MINOX
GmbH provides warranty of 2 years.The period
commences on the date of purchase from an
authorized dealer and the warranty is subject
to the following conditions:
1) During the warranty period we shall deal
with complaints based on faulty manufac-
ture (free of charge) by repair, replacement
of defective parts or replacement by an iden-
tical flawless product at our own discretion.
Consequential claims, no matter what kind
of what legal argument in connection with
this warranty, cannot be accepted.

5) Tourists may, if required, make use of the
Agency of the country in which they are
travelling (within the terms of the Warranty
of the MINOX GmbH) by presenting the
typewritten sales slip.
2) Claims under warranty are null and void,
if the defect has been caused by improper
handling – which also can include the use
of non-MINOX accessories – if the MINOX
product is serviced by unauthorized persons
or workshops, or if the serial number has
been obliterated.
3)Warranty claims can only be made by
submission of the typewritten sales slip of
an authorized dealer.
4)When submitting claims under warranty
please return the MINOX Spotting Scope
product together with the typewritten sales
slip and a description of the claim to the
MINOX GmbH or MINOX agency.

Agrandissement et mise au point
La bague (2) permet de faire des agrandis-
sements et des réductions de façon progres-
sive (zoom). Avec le réglage, l’objet concerné
peut être observé avec netteté en tournant la
molette de mise au point (3).
Attention :
Ne jamais regarder en direction du soleil avec
une lunette d’approche! Cela pourrait occa-
sionner de sérieux dommages aux yeux.
Utilisation avec et sans lunettes
Votre lunette d’approche MINOX est équi-
pée d’un œilleton rabattable en caoutchouc
élastique permettant d’ajuster la distance
oculaire (pour une utilisation de votre appareil
MINOX avec ou sans lunettes). Les utilisateurs
en observation qui ne portent pas de lunettes
doivent garder cet œilleton rabattu vers l’ex-
térieur (configuration d’usine). Cette position
permet d’obtenir l’écart correct entre la pupille
de l’œil et la lentille oculaire. Avec ce réglage,
votre lunette d’approche reposera aussi con-
fortablement sur l’œil pour une intensité de
lumière diffusée minimale. Lors de l’observa-
tion, l’œilleton doit être rabattu pour que l’uti-
lisateur puisse avoir le champ visuel complet
sur les angles et sans découpage de l’image.
