Important Safeguards
To prevent electrical shock, personal
injury or property damage, read and
follow all instructions and warnings.
Warning:
When the hair dryer is used in a bathroom,unplug
it after use since the proximity of water presents a
hazard even when the hair dryer is switched off.
When using electrical appliances,especially
when children are present,basic safety
precautions should always be followed,including
the following:

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER-As with most electrical appliances,
electrical parts are electrically live even when
the switch is off. To reduce the risk of death by
electric shock:
• Always unplug it immediately after using.
• Do not place or store an appliance where it
can fall or be pulled into a bath or sink.
• Do not use while bathing.
• Do not place or drop into water or other
liquid.
• If an appliance falls into water,”unplug
it”immediately,Do not reach into the water.
For additional protection,the installation of
a residual current device (RCD) with a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30mA
is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying
the bathroom.Ask your electrical contractor for
advice.

• An appliance should never be left
unattended when plugged in to a power
outlet.
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children)with reduced

they have been given close supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.This
appliance is not a toy,Children should be
supervised to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without
supervision.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use
as described in this manual.Do not use
attachments not recommended by GSM.
• Do not operate any appliance with a
damaged cord or plug after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in

• Never block the air openings of this hair dryer

couch,where the air openings may become

• The air inlet and outlet openings should never
beobstructed.Ifhowever,theairowis
inadvertently obstructed during use, the built
in thermal cut out will automatically switch off
the appliance.
• To protect from possible overheating, this
appliance is equipped with a safety
thermostat. Should it cycle ON & OFF during
use, turn the main switch to “OFF” and let it
cool down before using the appliance again.
• Do not use on people who are sleeping.
• Never drop or insert any object into any
opening of this appliance.
• Do not use outdoors or where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
• Do not direct hot air towards the eyes or
other heat sensitive areas.
• Attachments,where provided,may be hot
during and after use. Allow them to cool
before handling.
• Switch off and remove the plug from the
power outlet before cleaning or when not in
use. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from
the power outlet. Never pull cord. Never carry
the appliance by the cord.
• When using the appliance,keep your hair
away from the air inlet grille.Do not let your
hair get drawn into the appliance.
• When drying your hair in rollers, do not allow
any clips, hairpins etc. to project more than
10mm(ngerwidth)soastoensurethatthey
cannot come into contact with the live parts
inside the appliance.

• Do not use any appliance for anything other
than its intended use. This product is intended
for household use only.
• Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the
appliance. There are no user serviceable
parts.

Your Hair Dryer
Congratulations on the purchase of your new
Hairdryer.
Before using your new Hairdryer, it is important
that you read and follow the instructions in this
Use & Care booklet, even if you feel that you are
quite familiar with this type of appliance. Find a
place
and keep this booklet handy for future reference.
Attention is particularly drawn to the section
dealing with “Important Safeguards”.
This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not
intended for industrial or commercial use.
USING YOUR HAIR DRYER
BEFORE FIRST USE
• Carefully unpack the Hairdryer and remove
all packaging material.
• Make sure that your Hairdryer is clean and
undamage.
OPERATION
NOTE: Before using for the rst time,
switch the device on for a few minutes
and allow it to run at the highest speed
and temperature settings. As a result
of the manufacturing process, a slight
odour may be produced. this is not
harmful and only occurs during initial
use. Ensure that the room has good
ventilation.
SWITCHING ON/OFF AND
CONTROLLING SPEED
Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible
socket.
The on/off switch and switch for the speed
settings allows you to switch the device on and
selectthedesiredspeedfortheairow:
= off
=lowairow
=strongairow
After drying, set the on/off switch to 0 (off) and
pull out the mains plug.
SELECTING TEMPERATURE
the switch for the hot air settings allows you to
select the
desiredtemperaturefortheairow:
= low temperature
= medium temperature
= high temperature
COOLING FUNCTION
In order to improve the durability of the hair style,
you can use the button to cool the section of
hair after it has been styled using hot air.
Keep the button held down during the
dryingprocessinordertoreceiveacoolairow
independently of the temperature setting.
Whenyounolongerrequirethecoolairow,
release the button.
CONCENTRATOR NOZZLE
The concentrator nozzle makes it possible to
targettheairowatspecicsectionsofhair.
Attach the concentrator nozzle to the front of
the hair dryer so that it clicks into place.
The concentrator nozzle can be rotated into any
desired position.
You can remove the cooled concentrator nozzle
from the hair dryer.
BASIC HAIR CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For optimal results, shampoo and condition your
hair prior to styling and towel dry to remove
excess moisture
QUICK DRYING
Select a high heat &high speed setting and
roughly dry your hair. Use a brush or your hand to
shake out excess moisture whilst drying and keep
the hair dryer in constant motion.

STRAIGHTENING
Select high heat and high speed and roughly
dry the hair. When the hair is nearly dry, attach
the concentrator nozzle (which minimises
frizz) and reduce the heat & speed, Section
the hair according to thickness and begin
withstraighteningbottomlayersrst.Usinga
brush. follow concentrator from above .while
slowly gliding down each section of hair from
roots to tips. Once bottom layers have been
straightened, straighten the mid-section and
complete by straightening top layers.
NATURAL WAVY TEXTURE
Using a low heat and low speed setting
,‘scrunch’sectionsofhairwithyourngersinto
thepalmofyourhandwhiledirectingairow
throughyourngers.Onceyouhavereached
the desired effect,use the cool shot on each
section of hair to hold the style,For more volume
lean forward and dry the hair in the upside down
position.
LIFT&VOLUME
Use the hair dryer on a low heat and speed
setting,work from the roots of hair and begin at
the back of the head.Section your hair and use
a brush to dry against the natural growth pattem
of your hair.This creates lift at the roots,which
creates a style with volume.
STYLING
Set the hair dryer to a low heat and low speed
setting and attach the concentrator nozzle for
precision drying.Section the hair and style using
thebrush.Concentratetheairowdirectlyon
the hair while styling in the direction you desire.
lfnecessary,holdtheairowfor2-5secondson
each section while curling under or over for
additional hold.
USER INSTRUCTIONS
This hair dryer is equipped with a thermostat that
will cycle ‘OFF’if the temperature exceeds the
comfort level due to partially blocked air inlet
or air outlet openings.ln the event that the hair
dryer stops during use turn off all switches and
allow the hair dryer to cool down,at which time
the thermostat will automatically reset.Before
using again,check that the air inlet and air outlet
openings are not blocked.Unplug the hair dryer
and clean the openings if necessary.During
use,do not block the air openings or let your hair
be drawn into the hair dryer.
MAINTENANCE
Your hair dryer is designed for household use and
is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is
needed.when cleaning becomes necessary,turn
all switches off and disconnect the hair dryer
from the power outlet.
• Be particularly sure to check that the air inlet
and air outlet are free from dust, hairs and
uff.
• Wipe down the casing, the safety mesh over
the air inlet and the styling nozzle with a
slightly damp cloth.
• Remove the styling nozzle from the hair dryer.
Hold the hair dryer with the air outlet facing
downwards.Cleanthesafetynswitha
brush.
• Slightly press the safety mesh on the sides and
then pull it off. Hold the hair dryer with the air
inlet facing downwards. Clean the inside and
outside safety mesh with a brush.

STORAGE
When not in use,always unplug the hair dryer
from the power outlet.Allow the hair dryer to cool
and store out of the reach of children in a safe
dry place.Never wrap the power cord around
the hair dryer since this will cause the cord to
wear prematurely and break.Handle the cord
carefully for long life and avoid jerking,twisting
or straining especially at the plug connections.
lf the cord becomes twisted in use,periodically
straighten it,you may also use the hang loop
to store the hair dryer within convenient
reach,ensuring that water cannot be splashed
on to it when it is hung up.
WARNING:Do not use this appliance
near bathtubs,showers,basins or other
vessels containing water.
