When using electrical appliances, in order to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury,
these basic safety precautions should always be followed:

For Your Safety
Read all instructions carefully, even if you feel you
are quite familiar with the appliance.
• To protect against electric shock DO NOT
IMMERSE any part of this appliance, in water or
any other liquid.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children
or infirm persons without supervision. Never
leave an appliance unattended when in use.
• Young children should be supervised
to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Switch off and remove the plug from the power
outlet before cleaning or when not in use. To
unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the power
outlet. Never pull cord. Never carry the appliance
by the cord.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any
manner.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or
counter, or touch hot surfaces. Do not place any
part of this appliance on or near a hot gas or
electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not use this appliance for anything other than
its intended use. This product is intended for
household use only.
• Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the
appliance. There are no user serviceable parts.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Never insert utensils into the Kettle.
• This product has been designed to heat
water only.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Allow to cool
before cleaning.
• DO NOT OVERFILL, as boiling water may be
ejected. The maximum level is marked on the
water window.
• DO NOT UNDERFILL. Always put enough water
in the Kettle to cover the minimum level marked
on the water window.
• Do not lift the lid while boiling water in the Kettle.
• The Kettle should always be operated on a
level surface. Operating the Kettle on sinks,
drainboards, inclined or uneven surfaces should
be avoided.
• Avoid contact with steam from the spout
when water is boiling, or just after the Kettle has
switched off. Take care when opening the lid for
refilling when the kettle is hot.
• Extreme caution is necessary when moving any
appliance containing hot water. Wait until the
appliance has switched off automatically, or
switch off manually, before removing from
the stand.
• Do not move the Kettle whilst it is switched on.
• The Kettle must only be used with the
base provided.
• Warning: Do not place the base unit onto a
metal tray or metal surface whilst in use.
• Do not operate unless the element is
fully immersed.
• Caution should be taken when opening any
kettle lid immediately after boiling as hot water
droplets and/or steam may come into contact
with your skin and burn. Allow kettle to cool
before opening the lid.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE KETTLE.
COMPULSORY WARNING
If the supply cord is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid a hazard.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Mistral
SprintTM 1.8L Cordless Kettle.
Before first using your Mistral Cordless Kettle, it
is most important that you read and follow the
instructions in this use and care booklet, even if
you feel your are quite familiar with this type of
appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the section
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a place
and keep this booklet handy for future reference.
Your Mistral Cordless Kettle is safe and easy to use.
It has been designed to function quietly and safely
under normal circumstances.
This quality Mistral Cordless Kettle is fully portable,
with a sturdy metal body and contemporary design.
The Heater features an easy to set thermostat
control, two heat settings as well as a cooling fan
option.
Before First Use
Fill the Kettle to maximum level and boil the water.
Empty the Kettle out and refill.
How to use your Mistral
Sprint Cordless Kettle
• Open the hinged lid.
• Fill the Kettle to the desired level, ensuring that
the water covers the minimum level indicated
on the water window. DO NOT OVERFILL, as
water may eject from the Kettle. The water level
window will help you gauge the correct amount.
• Close the lid.
• Kettle must be on a dry and level surface.
• Place Kettle onto the power base. The electrical
connections will be made automatically as the
Kettle rests onto the base.
• Insert the plug into a power outlet and switch on.
• Switch on by pressing the ON/OFF switch down.
• The power indicator light will come on.
• When the water has boiled, the Kettle will switch
off automatically. If required, after a short delay,
the water can be brought back to the boil by
resetting the ON/OFF switch to ON.
• Switch OFF at the power outlet before removing
the Kettle from the power base. The Kettle can be
switched off at any time by switching the ON/OFF
button to OFF, or by turning OFF at the
power point.
• To remove the Kettle from the base unit, grasp
the handle and hold the Kettle horizontally while
lifting it clear of the base unit. Take extra care if
the Kettle is filled to the maximum level.
• Caution should be taken when opening any
Kettle lid immediately after boiling as hot water
droplets and/or steam may come into contact
with your skin and burn.
• Allow Kettle to cool before opening the lid.

Care and Cleaning
• Wipe the exterior of the Kettle with a soft,
damp cloth or sponge.
• Remove stubborn spots with a cloth
moistened with mild detergent.
DO NOT PUT DETERGENTS OR CLEANING
AGENTS IN THE KETTLE.
Removing Calcium Deposits
In order to maintain performance of your Kettle,
it is important to remove deposits that build up
inside the Kettle. To decalcify your Kettle, follow
these steps:
• Half fill the Kettle with ordinary tap water.
• Add 30ml (1 fl oz) of white vinegar to
the Kettle.
• Boil the mixture, and allow to stand for 30
minutes. Repeat this step two more times.
Note: In extreme cases this procedure may need
to be repeated.
• Empty the mixture and rinse well.
• To remove and clean the filter, open the
hinged lid and lift the filter vertically from its
location. The filter may be cleaned by gently
brushing under running water with a soft
bristled brush, or by soaking it in vinegar.
• To refit the filter, slot it into the side wallguard
and press down firmly.
• If the filter is not fitted correctly, the hinged lid
may not lock securely.
• Do not leave the Kettle in direct sunlight as
the quality of the finish may deteriorate.

The original purchaser of this MISTRAL product is
provided with the following warranty subject to the
following conditions.
Mistral International Pty Ltd warrant this product for
a period of 3 years from the date of purchase for all
parts defective in workmanship or materials. This
product or defective parts will be replaced free
of charge.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. This warranty is only valid for appliances used
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. This appliance must not be modified or changed
in any way.
3. Connection must be to the voltage
requirements as specified in the ratings label
located on the product.
4. The manufacturer does not accept liability for
any direct or consequential damage, loss or
other expense arising from misuse or incorrect
installation and operation of the appliance.
5. Warranty will only be given where proof of
purchase is provided, e.g. original invoice.
6. Not designed or warranted for industrial or
commercial use.

Your Purchase Receipt/Invoice is proof of date of
purchase. You must be able to present it at the place
of purchase to obtain a replacement or service
under warranty.

discontinue items, modify designs and change
specifications without incurring obligation. Whilst
every effort is made to ensure that descriptions,
specifications and other information in this publication
is correct, no warranty is given in respect thereof and
