How to Use Your Mistral
Toaster Oven
Your Toaster Oven offers three different modes of
operation. It can be used as an oven, a grill or a
toaster.
TemperatureControl
Choose the desired temperature up to MAX
(250OC).
Fatty foods that are cooked close to the top
elements such as steak and chicken should
be covered to avoid fat spilling and igniting.
TimerControl
To activate the timer, turn the knob to the
right (clockwise). The timer is used for toasting,
grilling or baking for 0-120 minutes. The
power will automatically shut off when the
time has elapsed or the knob is manually
turned to the ‘0’ position.
FunctionControl
There are six different functions described around
the function control knob:

heating elements are not in use, the fan is
operating only.

upper heating elements will operate only.

6
Operation
Caution: appliance surfaces are hot during
and after use.
The Toaster Oven is ideal for baking,
heating, defrosting, grilling and toasting.
Place the rack into the desired position: low,
middle or high; to best suit the food to be
cooked.
When grilling meat, chicken etc - rack should
be placed in the middle/high position with a
baking tray or foil on the bottom rack to catch
any excess oil dripping.
Close the door.
Turn the temperature control clockwise to the
desired temperature.
Turn the function control to the appropriate
setting for the food that you are cooking.
Turn the timer control clockwise to the
desired time. When the time has elapsed the
oven will automatically shut off power to the
elements. Turn the temperature control to
‘O’.
DO NOT leave the oven unattended during
cooking process.
CookingContainers
Choose bakeware made of metal, oven proof
glass or ceramic.
DO NOT use lowest rack position when
using deep, oven proof glass or ceramic
containers and allow at least 25mm air
space between the top of the container and
the upper heating elements.
Hints on Use and Safety
Most foods will cook better if placed on the low
position. During cooking, cover the tops of the
items with foil to prevent them from browning too
rapidly. Take care to ensure that the foil does not
touch the elements.
Most surfaces on this appliance can get hot
enough to burn you. Use oven mitts when
handling any parts. NEVER place anything on top
of the appliance.
Cleaning Your Mistral
Toaster Oven
Disconnect Toaster Oven from the outlet.
Allow to cool before cleaning.
The oven accessories should be cleaned after
every use to avoid buildup of food, debris and
grease from baking on to the surface.
If a major spillage occurs inside the
compartment wipe clean as soon as possible
with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
DO NOT use spray on or other cleaners as
they may cause electrical damage. DO NOT
use sharp utensils to clean the oven door
glass as scratching may weaken it and cause
shattering.
Remove heavy splatters after use with a nylon
or polyester mesh pad, sponge or cloth
dampened with warm water. Blot dry with
paper towel or soft, dry cloth.
Do not use cleaning agents, cleaners or
metal scouring pads on the Continuous
Clean Coating as this may reduce its
effectiveness.
