CR Oven
Operating & Service Manual

The appliance must only be used for the purpose it was designed for and may
become unsafe if used for any other purpose. Operators should be trained.
The room where this oven is used must be dry, clean with temperatures
between 3°C and 25°C and with a maximum relative humidity of 60%.
This unit is for indoor use only and has an IPX4 rating.

The oven must be connected to the correct power
supply, with the correct rating for the appliance. This
information should be found on the data badge on
the oven. If in doubt, speak to a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt connection to any other power
supply which diers from the data badge.

Plug in appliance and establish power.
Switch the unit on at the isolator or main switch,
depending on the model of C.R. oven you have.
Set the time and temperature as required for your application.
See sections 1.1 and 1.2 on pages 5 and 6 for instructions on
time and temperature setting, respectively.
These ovens all have a 20 minute pre-heat cycle.
This is switched on by pressing the 3-position switch to the up
position. At the end of this time the internal buzzer will sound.
Cancel the buzzer by switching to the middle position.
Load the oven with the food as required. Switch on the cook
cycle by pressing the 3-position switch to the bottom position.
The countdown timer will start and the cook cycle will begin.
At the end of the cook time, the internal buzzer will sound.
This is cancelled by pressing the switch to the middle position.
The food is now ready for testing and service.

The Timer is adjustable to a max of 9 hours and 99 minutes.
Change the cook time as below before starting the countdown.

The adjustment is made by pressing either
[<<] for reducing time and [>>] for increasing.
Exit from the program by pressing the [hand]
button or do not use the keypad for 5 seconds.
The countdown will show hours and minutes until the final
10 minutes. After this time it will show minutes and seconds.
There is an LED lit to show what time mode is in use.
The countdown is started automatically when
the switch is put into the “Regen” position.
At the end of the cook time a buzzer will sound
and the ready light will illuminate. Cancel both
of these by switching the Regen button o.
Pressing the button during the cycle will
stop the countdown and the Regen cycle.

The oven is set between 100’C & 200’C in the factory. The set point is normally
factory set to 190°C and can be viewed and changed even during the
ovens cycle. To access the temperature set-point in the controller, press the L1
key. The display will show "1SP" for 1 second and then the current temperature
will be displayed. Use the L1 and L2 keys to adjust the temperature as
required (between 100’C & 200’C). Press the ikey or wait 10 seconds to save
the temperature. To exit without changing the setting, press the Xkey.

You cannot set it, out-with the SPL & SPH range
(100’C to 200’C) as the controller will not allow this.

Set the temperature to 190°C. The timer is set to 80 minutes. The temperature
and time required to cook the food all depend on the quantity and density
of the food. These settings may need to be varied as required by the food.
Start the Regen cycle by pressing the switch to the Regen position. The oven
temperature and time are controlled as previously set. At the end of the
time, the ready light will illuminate and the internal buzzer will sound. The
food is now ready for testing and service.

and time required to cook the food all depend on the quantity and density
of the food. These settings may need to be varied as required by the food.
Start the Regen cycle by pressing the switch to the Regen position. The oven
temperature and time are controlled as previously set. At the end of the
time, the ready light will illuminate and the internal buzzer will sound. The
food is now ready for testing and service.

Oven is not pre-heated.
Load the food, evenly spaced through the oven to give a good airflow
throughout the oven.
Set the temperature to 160°C. The timer is set to 60 minutes. The temperature
and time required to cook the food all depend on the quantity and density
of the food. These settings may need to be varied as required by the food.
Start the Regen cycle by pressing the switch to the Regen position. The oven
temperature and time are controlled as previously set. At the end of the
time, the ready light will illuminate and the internal buzzer will sound.
The food is now ready for testing and service.
Oven is normally pre-heated for approximately 20 minutes. This is
achieved by pressing the switch to the pre-heat position. At the end of
this time, the ready light will illuminate and the internal buzzer will sound.
Load oven with pies, sausage rolls etc. Usually on an oven tray.
Temperature is set around 200°C.
Timer is set between 15-30 minutes. These settings may need to be
varied as required by the food.
Press the switch to the Regen position. Oven will now control
temperature for the set number of minutes.
At the end of the time, the ready light will illuminate and the internal
buzzer will sound. The food is now ready for testing and service.

Use the oven pre-heated or cold.
Set the temperature controller as required.
Set the time controller as required.

Carefully remove all packaging & plastic coatings from the
appliance. Then dispose in a responsible manner.
Check for damage. Please note that in compliance with warranty,
any defects must be reported within 3 days of delivery.
Ensure all shelves are in position.
Always ensure unit is clean before operation. For cleaning
instructions see section 3.0 on page 9.
Place the appliance in its intended location - on a flat, level surface.

Do not use a water jet or pressure spray to clean
this appliance. Ensure appliance is switched o
& plugs are disconnected before cleaning.
Disconnect unit from mains and wait until appliance has cooled.
Wipe clean using hot, soapy water and soft, non-abrasive cloth.
Wipe dry using a clean cloth. Do not use scouring pads or
abrasive cleaners of any type. Special care should be taken
around electrical parts. Excessive use of water should be avoided.

On ‘Chillogen’ models: The compressor
coil must be cleaned regularly, using a
suitable brush and vacuum cleaner.
