Digital! This Quick Start Guide will help get you start using your camera in no time. We hope
you will be able to take awesome videos and amazing photos with your camera. Feel free

Before Using the Camera
1. Install and charge the battery
To charge, connect the camera to a 1-amp minimum USB power source with a micro USB
cable. The charging indicator will be in on when charging and will turn off after charging. It
takes 2-4 hours to fully charge the battery.

2. Insert the memory card (up to 32GB microSD)
Push the microSD card into the slot until it clicks.
To remove the card, push it in slightly and it will pop out.
BE SURE TO BACK-UP YOUR FILES
ON A COMPUTER OR OTHER STORAGE DEVICE!

3. Turn it on
To turn ON press and hold the power/mode button for 3 seconds.
To turn OFF the camera press and hold the power/mode button for 3 seconds when the
camera is not recording
When the battery is very low, this icon will appear.
When the battery is out of power the icon turns red and flashes.
Finally, the camera turns off automatically.
The camera will record for approximately 1.75 hours based on Monster Digital engineering
testing. Actual performance may vary based on settings, environmental conditions and
other factors. Maximum battery capacity will normally decrease with time and use.

4. Camera Modes
The camera has 4 modes - video, photo, dash-cam, and playback.
After the power is on, press power/mode button to cycle through each mode.
Note: When you power down, the current mode will be remembered. The next time you
power up the camera it will be in the same mode.

5. Video Mode
With the power on
Press the Power/Mode button until you find the Video Mode.
Press the OK/shutter button to start recording,
Press it again to stop recording.
NOTE: If the memory card is full or battery is low, it will stop recording automatically.

6. Slow Motion
The Slow motion feature is accessed while the camera is in video mode. While in video
mode press the DISP/MENU button then press the WiFi/down arrow to scroll to “Slow Motion”
and press OK. Use the WiFi/down arrow button to select on or off.
When the slow motion feature is engaged an icon will appear on the display as show below.

7. Dash-cam Mode
With the camera on
Press the power/mode button until you find the Dash-cam Mode.
In dash-cam mode the camera continuously create files three minutes long. When the
memory card is full, the oldest file will be overwritten, then the next, etc. in a continuous loop.
DASH-CAM AUTO ON
After choosing dash-cam mode, turn the camera off. Connect a USB cable to the camera
and a switched power outlet that is on when the car is on. The camera will automatically
start recording when the ignition is turned on.

NOTE: Dash cam mode is set up for inverted recording. Mount the camera upside down
using the suction cup mount on the interior of the windshield.

8. Photo Mode
With the power on
Press the power/mode button until you are in Photo Mode.
Press the OK/shutter button to take a picture.

Photos can also be taken while the camera is recording video.
Just press the OK/shutter button to take a picture.

9. Time-Lapse
The time-lapse function is accessed while in photo mode. Push the menu button then press the
power/mode button to access settings. Press the down arrow/WiFi button on the right side of
the camera to move the cursor down. The frequency, how often photos are taken, and the
duration of the time-lapse recording can be adjusted to the following options.
Time-lapse (Frequency in seconds): 3, 5, 10, 30, 60
Time-lapse Duration (minutes): 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, continuous
When the time-lapse feature is engaged an icon will appear on the display as shown below.

10. Playback Mode
With the power on
Press the power/mode button until you find Playback Mode
Press the down/WiFi button on the right side to select file type
Press OK
SELECT
CAR - to play videos recorded in dash-cam mode
VIDEO - to play videos
JPG - to view photos

11. Viewing Videos
DISPLAY ICONS IN VIDEO PLAYBACK MODE
1. View Mode icon
2. Number of the current video and the total number of videos
3. Total video time
4. Date and time of the video
5. Playback time
When playing a video
Press the OK/shutter button to pause.
Push the DISP./MENU button to stop.

12. Viewing Photos
DISPLAY ICONS IN PHOTO PLAYBACK MODE
1. View mode icon
2. Number of the current photo and the total number of photos
Press the down/WiFi button to advance to the next photo.
(There is no button to go backward to view the previous photo)

13. POWER SAVE
To save power the display can turn off automatically. The length of time the screen is on
before going into Screen Saver mode can be adjusted under the settings menu. Options
are 1, 3, 5 minutes or OFF.
The LED on the upper left will indicate the camera is on when the display is off.
After 3 minutes of inactivity, after the display is off, the camera will turn off automatically.

14. Settings
There is a different menu for each mode as shown below:
Press DISP/MENU Menu button to view the menu
Press POWER/MODE button to tab right
Press WIFI/down button to move the cursor down
Press OK/shutter button to confirm
Press Menu button to return or exit

15. Playback on an HDTV
You can connect your camera to an HDTV with a mini HDMI (Type C to A) cable. When
connected and powered on you can view all the photos and videos available on the
camera’s memory card.
Be sure to use a high quality HDMI cable like Monster Cable.

16. The Apps
From Google Play™ or the App StoreSM, download
“MONSTER DIGITAL ACTION CAMERA” and install them or scan these codes.
After installing the application, press the WIFI button on the right side and the Screen will say
“Waiting for WiFi Connection…”
On your mobile device go to WiFi settings and select VISION
When connecting for the first time, enter the password: monsterdigital
“WiFi Connection Ready!” will be shown on the display.
Open the app and control the camera.
