SAFET PRECAUTIONS
• Before plugging the appliance into the power supply, ensure that the voltage and power
supply comply with the specifications indicated on the rating plate of the appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance if the power plug or power cord have been damaged, or if
not functioning properly.
• If the power plug, power cord or the supply hose is damaged, have it replaced by an
authorized service technician or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the power supply.
• This appliance is not intended for use for by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 12 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
• Keep the appliance and power cord away from children when the appliance is switched
on or cooling down.
• Children are only allowed to clean the appliance and perform the Calc-Clean produce
under supervision.
• Do not allow the power cord and supply hose to contact with the hot sole plate of the iron.
• Tighten the CALC-Clean knob if steam or hot water droplets escape from under the
CALC-Clean knob when operating the appliance. If steam continues to escape when the
appliance warms up, switch off the appliance and contact your nearest service authorized
service center.
• Do not remove the CALC-Clean knob from the appliance when hot or under pressure.
• Do not use any other accessories/attachments on the appliance other than the
CALC-Clean knob that has been supplied with the appliance.
• Always place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure that the
surface can take the weight of the unit during use and when the appliance is resting on
its stand.
• The Steam Iron is intended for DOMESTIC USE ONLY and should not be used for
commercial purposes.
IMPORTANT
• Only connect the appliance to an earthed power supply socket.
• Always inspect the power cord and the supply hose regularly for possible damage.
• Fully unwind the power cord before you plug it into the power supply socket.
• WARNING: The iron platform and the soleplate of the iron can become extremely hot and
may cause burns if touched. Do not touch the ironing platform when moving the
appliance.
• IM ORTANT: Always switch off the appliance and place it back into the ironing platform
before removing the power cord from the power supply when ironing has completed,
cleaning the appliance, when filling or emptying the appliance and when leaving the
appliance even for a short while.
• It is recommended to descale the appliance regularly according to the instructions in the
chapter “Cleaning and Maintenance”.

PREPARING FOR FIRST USE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
SETTING THE TEMPERATURE
1. Check the ironing instruction label on the garment to determine the correct ironing
temperature.
2. Place the iron on the ironing stand.
3. Insert the power plug into the power supply.
4. Select the appropriate temperature on the iron by rotating the temperature dial.

• Silk/Wool
• Cotton/Linen
5. The green “steam ready” indicator lamp will illuminate after approximately 2 minutes,
indicating that the appliance is ready to use with steam. The iron pilot light will remain lit
while the iron is heating and will disappear as soon as the iron has reached the selected
temperature.
TI S:
• Sort your garments out based on their cleaning symbol labels. Always starting ironing with
clothes required to be ironed at the lowest temperatures.
• If unsure what the garment is made of then begin ironing at a low temperature and decide
on the right temperature by ironing a small section not usually seen when worn.
STEAM IRONING
1. Place the appliance on a stable and level surface, e.g. on the hard part of the ironing
board or on a table.
2. Ensure that sufficient water in the water tank (refer to section “filling the detachable water
tank”).
FILLING THE DETACHABLE WATER TANK
Do not fill water tank with hot water, perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents,
ironing aids or other chemicals.
NOTE: Do not tilt or shake the appliance when the water tank is full, otherwise water may
spill out of the water inlet.
You can detach the water tank and fill it at any time during use.
Fill the water tank before first use and as soon as the water tank empty light flashes.
WATER TANK REFILL LIGHT
When the water tank is almost empty, the water tank empty light will illumnate and
steam ironing is no longer possible.
1. Remove the water tank and fill it.
2. Assemble the water tank back into the appliance.
3. The iron is ready for steam ironing again. OPERATION

2. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the MAX
indication.
NOTE: if the tap water in your area is hard, we
advise you to mix it with an equal amount of
distilled water.
3. Turn the temperature dial to the steam position between
•• and MAX.
(If a too low temperature has been selected and the
steam function is used water may leak from the sole
plate).
4. Insert the power plug in an earthed wall socket and press
the on/off button to switch on the appliance.
The iron ready light will illuminate, indicating that the
appliance is heating up.
When the appliance is ready for use, the iron ready light
will illuminate continuously
3. Slide the water tank back into the appliance
(click).
NOTE: if the water tank is not proper in placed,
the iron does not produce any steam.

5. Press the carry lock release button to unlock the iron
from the iron platform.
6. Press and hold the steam trigger to begin steam
ironing.
ECO STEAM IRONING
Select the ECO setting for optimum ironing performance at temperature settings ··and MAX.
VERTICAL STEAM IRONING
Hot steam is emitted from the iron. Never attempt to remove creases from a garment that is
worn. Do not apply steam near your or someone else’s hand.
AUTO-SHUT-FUNCTION
The appliance automatically switches off when it is not in use for a while (approx. 8minutes)
and the auto-shut-off light in the on/off button starts to flash. Activate the appliance to begin
heating again.
1. Hang the garment on a clothes hanger and pull the
garment tight with one hand.
2. Hold the iron in vertical position with the other hand
and press the steam trigger to steam iron the
garment.
3. Touch the garment lightly with the sole plate of the
iron to remove creases.
DESCALING THE APPLIANCE WITH CALC-CLEAN KNOB
To prevent scale build-up inside the appliance and to ensure long-lasting steaming
performance, this appliance has a CALC- Clean light on the control panel. This light will
illuminate after about a month or 10 ironing sessions. When this light illuminates, perform
the procedure with the CALC- Clean knob by following the steps below.
Never remove the CALC - CLEAN knob when the appliance is hot.
1. Press the on/off button to switch off the appliance and
remove the power plug from the power supply.
2. Allow the appliance to cool down for 2 hours
3. Place the appliance on a stable table top, with the
CALC - Clean knob over the edge of the table top.
TI : You can also take the appliance to a sink and
place it so that the CALC- Clean knob is pointing
towards the sink.
1. Hold a 350CC cup under the CALC - Clean knob to
collect the water that flows out.
2. Turn the CALC - Clean knob anti-clockwise to detach
and to allow the water with scale particles to flow out
into the cup.
NOTE: water starts flowing out of the appliance as
soon as you turn the CALC - Clean knob to remove it.
NOTE: this appliance is specially designed to remove
scale together with the water easily and effectively. It
is not necessary to shake or tilt the appliance.
1. When no more water comes out of the appliance,
reinsert the CALC - Clean knob and turn it clockwise to
fasten it.
2. Insert the power plug into an earthed power supply and
press the CALC - Clean reset button to reset the CALC-
Clean function. The CALC - Clean light will disappear.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter summarizes the most common problems encountered with the
appliance. If you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, contact
your nearest authorized service center.
CLEANING THE SOLE PLATE
Clean the sole plate regularly to move stains.
1. Insert the power plug into an earthed power supply and press the on/off button to switch
on the appliance and allow it heat up.
2. After approx.2 minutes, press the on/off button again to switch off the appliance and
detach the power plug from the power supply.
3. Place a piece of moist cotton cloth on the ironing board.
4. Iron over the cotton cloth repeatedly to remove stains from the sole plate.
Do not discard the appliance with the normal household waste at the
end of its lifespan, but hand it in at an official collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you will help to preserve the environment.
STORAGE
1. Press the on/off button to switch off the appliance
and detach the power plug from the power supply.
2. Detach the detachable water tank and empty it.
3. Place the iron on the iron platform.
4. Turn the carry lock over the tip of the sole plate to
lock the iron onto the iron platform.
5. Fold the supply hose and power cord to store them in
their respective storage compartments.
6. You can now easily carry the appliance by the handle
of the iron with one hand.
