When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions shoul always be
followe inclu ing the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully before using your appliance as this manual will help you
familiarize with the features and operation standards of this appliance. Failure to
comply with the use, storage, maintenance, installation or placement instructions
detailed in this manual could void the applicable user warranty.
2. Ensure that the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds with the voltage in
your home. If this is not the case, contact your dealer and stop using the appliance.
3. DO NOT touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a
person responsible for their safety.
5. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT immerse power cord, power plugs, or
the appliance in water or other liquids.
6. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
7. Unplug from the power supply when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
down completely before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or power plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to
the nearest Authorized Service Centre for examination, repair, electrical or mechanical
adjustment.
9. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by Morgan may result in
fire, electric shock or personal injury.
10. DO NOT use outdoors.
11. DO NOT allow power cord to hang over edge of table or counter, or come into contact
with hot surfaces.
12. DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Using this appliance to boil other liquids
such as beverages, coffee, soup, or milk will contaminate the interior of the jug kettle.
13. DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated on the Inner ot. Overfilling may cause
water to spill out when boiling.
14. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

15. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall supply. To
disconnect, turn any control to ‘OFF’, then remove power plug from the power supply.
16. DO NOT leave unit unattended while in use.
17. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.
18. Scalding may occur if the lid is opened during the boiling cycle
19. Exercise extreme caution when pouring. our slowly and do not tilt the kettle
excessively.
20. Water will remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and can present a scald
hazard. Keep the kettle away from the edge of worktops and out of children’s reach.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read this instruction manual carefully before using this product, especially on the
"safety precautions" section.
2. lace kettle on a dry, flat surface. Ensure lid is in place securely before boiling.
3. Never operate the kettle with water below the “MIN” level or exceeding the “MAX”
level.
4. Open the lid to fill the jug with the right amount of water in the body and close the lid
securely. Do not exceed the “MAX” level.
5. lace the jug onto the base and plug in power plug into the power supply. The
appliance will be in standby mode.
6. In standby mode, press the " ower ON/OFF" switch to start the boiling process and
the power indication light will illuminate.
7. To keep water warm, press the “insulation button.” ress this button again to turn off
the keep warm function.
8. Wait for water inside the jug to stop boiling before adding water or commencing to boil
another jug of water.
IMPORTANT: Kettle shoul always be unplugge when filling or a ing water.
9. A peculiar odour may be detected during your first boil. This is normal and a result of
a malfunction.
10. IMPORTANT: Always unplug your kettle from electrical power outlet before
pouring.

CLEANING THE JUG KETTLE
1. Unplug the power plug from the power supply and let it cool down completely before
cleaning.
2. Detach the pot body from the power base and keep the power cord and power plug
away from water.
3. Avoid using sharp objects while cleaning, to prevent from damaging the exterior
finishing.
4. Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior and power base. Do not use abrasive scouring
pads, detergents or cleansers as they will damage the exterior finishing.
DESCALING THE JUG KETTLE
1. In order to keep the jug kettle in good working condition, periodic descaling of the
kettle’s interior is required.
2. Descaling is required if the jug kettle shuts down automatically during boiling
frequently.
3. You can remove this build-up by using a commercial descaler or by using vinegar and
water in the following manner:
• Fill 0.5 litres water boil and add 30 mL (1 fluid oz.) of white vinegar.
• Boil the mixture and allow to stand for 1 hour. Discard mixture and fill Kettle to the
MAX level with fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard.
4. For heavy scale build-up, repeat this process.
5. Alternatively, add 0.5 litres of water, then add 25g of lemon juice and boil for 15
minutes. Discard mixture and fill Kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water
to a boil and discard.
6. For heavy scale build-up, repeat this process.
