hen using electric appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.
2. Before connecting to the power supply, ensure that the unit is earthed and its voltage
corresponds to the voltage indicated on the power supply rating label at the bottom of
the appliance.
3. Always disconnect appliance from the power supply when not in use or before cleaning.
4. The rated voltage is 220-240V~ while the rated frequency is 50Hz. Any voltage that is
above or below the rated specifications may damage the compressor.
5. It is recommended to use a dedicated power socket that is not shared with other
electrical appliances.
6. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse power cord, power plug, or any parts
of the unit in water or other liquids.
7. Do not allow power cord to hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
8. Do not operate unit with damaged power cord or power plug or after the unit
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. In such a situation, it is
recommended to return the unit to your nearest Authorized Service Centre for
examination, repair, or adjustment.
9. Do not allow children to enter or climb the refrigerator to avoid children being trapped
inside the unit or children injured by the unit toppling over.
10. CAUTION: Glass door is fragile. Do not forcibly press and/or pull on the glass door
when moving or transporting the unit.
11. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Exercise extra caution in households where children and pets are present.
12. In case of gas leakage, turn off the gas valve first before opening the doors and
windows for ventilation.

13. It is not advisable to freeze food and meat inside the unit.
14. Do not store flammable liquids, explosive, and corrosive items inside the unit such as
acids, alkali, and other hazardous materials.
15. Do not place heavy objects on the top of the unit as these objects may fall when
opening or closing the door, and accidental injuries might be caused.
16. Detach the power plug in the event of a power failure or when cleaning. Do not connect
the unit to the power supply within five minutes to avoid damaging the compressor due
to successive starts.
17. CAUTION: Do not wet the power cord or handle the power plug with wet hands.
18. Do not spray or wash the unit or place it in moist or damp places with close contact with
water as doing so may affect the unit's electrical insulation properties.
19. This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the unit by a person
responsible for their safety.
20. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
21. WARNING: Allow adequate ventilation during operation to maintain proper efficiency
and functioning of the unit.
22. WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting
process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
23. WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
24. WARNING: The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause hazard or injury.
It is important to follow the below instructions when moving upright showcase. This
includes moving it to a new location or purchasing a new unit and transporting it
home.
l Disconnect the power cord from the power supply.
l Pack all accessories that came along with the upright showcase.
l Remove food, defrost, and clean the unit. Ensure there are no food or items inside the
unit during transportation.
l Use blankets to protect the unit's exterior from scratches.
l Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or heat sources or violent shaking for safety
reasons.
l When transporting, keep the unit in the upright position and do not tilt exceeding 45
degrees to avoid damaging the unit.
l Be careful to secure the door to prevent it from opening.
l Set it upright in its final location and allow the unit to sit for the same amount of time
that it was on its side (24 hours max.).
l Do not plug the unit into the power supply without allowing this settling time to
prevent premature damage.
l Store food inside the unit only when the unit has been operating for some time, and not
immediately.
l The unit must be placed on flat and stable surfaces.
l Do not place the unit in damp or moist places with direct contact to water.
l This unit is for indoor use only.
The cabinet temperature is controlled by the thermostat on the panel. The thermostat can
set a suitable temperature range according to different ambient temperatures and various
quantity of items.
Positions 0 to 7 are indicated on the thermostat knob, where: (Note: Position 0 - 7 identify
refrigeration, not temperatures.)
l Position 1 = Highest setting temperature
l Position 7 = Lowest setting temperature (keep cooling all the time)
l Position 0 = Power off

TROUBLESHOOTING

Using the upright showcase for the first time:
l Place it on a flat and stable surface and open the unit's door for proper ventilation.
l Clean the unit's exterior and interior with a soft and clean, dry cloth before using.
l Connect the power cord to the power supply and power on.
l Do not place food or other items into the unit immediately. Allow it to operate empty
for some time.
l Allow adequate ventilation in-between spaces of the unit.
GENERAL OPERATIONS
l Allow hot food to cool down before storing into the unit.
l When storing food, keep some distance away from one item to another.
l Ensure that cooling vents are not obstructed with food or other objects.
l Do not open door frequently nor leave it ajar to ensure optimal cooling and energy
saving.
l In the event of a power cut, wait 5 minutes before powering on the machine to avoid
damaging the unit.
l Disconnect the power cord from the power supply if the unit is not used for long
durations. It is also recommended to cover the unit before storing.
NO COOLING
l Check if there is a power cut.
l Check for connection between the power plug and power supply.
l Check if the fuse is switched off.
l Check if auto-power cut off has been activated (for applicable models only)
LOW/POOR COOLING
l Check if the thermostat is operating properly.
l The unit is exposed to sunlight or placed near heat sources.
l There may be dust on the compressor and condenser.
l Too many food items stored inside the unit.
l Hot food stored immediately may be the cause.
l Door opened frequently.
l Door left ajar for a long time.
l Thick frost on the inner cabinet.
UNIT IS NOT OPERATING
l Thermostat temperature may be set too high.
l Too many food items stored inside.
l Ambient temperature is too high.
NOISE
l Ensure that the unit is placed on a flat and stable surface.
l Unit may be placed too close to walls.
l There may be objects on top of the unit.
l Disconnect the power cord from the power supply before proceeding to clean the unit.
l Use a soft cloth or sponge and clear water or mild soap liquid to clean the unit.
l Do not use organic, alkaline, hot water, acid or other abrasive cleansers/solvents to clean
the exterior.
l Avoid spraying water to clean the compressor.
DEFROSTING
This unit will automatically defrost, so you don't need to do that manually. In case the frost
exists in air duct panel, you can simply clean it with a cleaning rag.
LAMP
On the control panel:
l Press “ ” to turn the lamp FF.
l Press “1” to turn the lamp N.
l Lamp replacement: Contact your authorised service technician to replace the faulty
lamp. Do not to attempt to replace or repair the lamp yourself to avoid a short circuit
and/or voiding the unit’s warranty.
