WARNING
(a) Visual inspection shall be made before each use of the PALD by checking for abnormal
conditions, such as cracked welds, leaks, and damaged, loose, or missing parts.
(b) Other inspections shall be made per product operating instructions.
(c) Each PALD shall be inspected immediately if the device is believed to have been subject
ed to an abnormal load or shock. It is recommended that this inspection be made by a
manufacturer's or supplier's authorized repair facility.
(d) Owners and/or operators should be aware that repair of this equipment may require
specialized knowledge and facilities. It is recommended that an annual inspection of the
PALD be made by a manufacturer's or supplier's authorized repair facility and that any
defective parts, decals, or safety labels or signs be replaced with manufacturer's or
supplier's specified parts. A list of authorized repair facilities is available from the manufac
turer or supplier.
Any PALD that appears to be damaged in any way, is found to be worn or operates
abnormally SHALL BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE UNTIL REPAIRED. It is recommended that
necessary repairs be made by a manufacturer's or supplier's authorized repair facility if
repairs are permitted by the manufacturer or supplier.
(a) Study, understand, and follow all instructions before operating this device.
(b) Do not exceed rated capacity.
(c) Use only on hard level surface.
(d) Lock mounting plate rotating mechanism before applying a load.
(e) Assure load is centered and secured to mounting attachment.
(f) Failure to heed these markings may result in personal injury and/or property damage.
(a) O-center loads may make the load and handle rotate in either direction when the
rotational locking device is released.
(b) Release rotational locking devices slowly and carefully.
(c) No alterations shall be made to this product.
(d) Only attachments and/or adapters supplied by the manufacturer shall be used.
1. Attach Main Post (1) and Front Leg (20) to Side Leg (3) with the 1/2" X 3" Lg. Bolt (4) up
from the bottom. Bolt (4) will thread into the 1/2" Washer (17)., 1/2" Lock Washer (11), and
1/2" Hex Nut (18).
2. Attach Caster Side Leg (21) to Front Leg (20) with 3/8" X 2-3/4" Lg. Bolt (24), 3/8" Lock
Washer (25), 3/8" Washer (26) and 3/8" Hex Nuts (15).
3. Slide Head Assembly (5) into Collar at top of Main Post (1), align holes and secure with Lock
Pin (6).
4. Attach four Mounting Arms (7) to Head Assembly with four 9/16" X 2-1/2" Lg. Bolts (8)
and four Hex Nuts (10) as shown. Mounting Arms can be adjusted to fit a majority of
engines.
Because of potential hazards associated with this type of equipment, no alterations shall be
made to the product.

The owner and/or operator shall have an understanding of the product, its operating
characteristics, and safety operating instructions before operating the PALD. Safety
information shall be emphasized and understood. If the operator is not fluent in English,
the product and safety instructions shall be read to and discussed with the operator in the
operator's native language by the purchaser/owner or his designee, making sure that the
operator comprehends their contents.
The PALD shall be maintained in accordance with the product instruction.
1. When jack is not in use, lifting arm should be in full down position.
2. Always keep jack clean and keep the screw and bearings well lubricated.
3. Keep moving parts clean; lubricate moving parts every 3 months.

1. Before proceeding with engine attachment be certain that you have the properly sized
and rated bolts to mount the engine to engine stand . These bolts must be purchased
separately from your local hardware store. USE ONLY GRADE 8 BOLTS. See drawing
below for the proper head markings of a grade 8 bolt. For metric use, use 8.8 or higher
rated bolts. These bolts will be embossed with 8.8 on the bolt head. Also choose a bolt
length that allows 1/2" or more of threaded bolt insertion into the engine.
2. Remove the head assembly of the engine stand from its base and attach directly to the
engine. This is easier than attaching the engine to stand head while it is on the engine
stand base. Try to always mount the engine to the stand at the engine's highest point
above the crank shaft. This will allow the closest center of gravity for rotating the engine.
3. Before placing the head (after bolting engine to stand's head) into the stand's base, be
certain that all four mounting bolts are securely tightened to the engine. Also, be certain
all assembly points mentioned in the assembly instructions are properly tightened. Before
proceeding be sure you have read and followed all caution statements mentioned earlier
in the instruction manual.
4. Slowly place the stand head into the base of the engine stand. Replace the lock pin into
the base to secure load. Always watch for any weight imbalance or ground setting when
re-assembling. Also, be certain that the ground is level, smooth, and hard. The floor
should be free of cracks and obstacles that could obstruct movement. Any imbalance or
instability can result in loss of load and personal injury.
5. Important - Never perform any work or inspection from underneath engine while it is
mounted on the stand. The rotation feature should be used to access the angine from all
sides.

El propietario y/o el usuario deberá(n) estudiar las instrucciones del producto y guardarlas
bien para referencia futura.
Como hay ciertos peligros que acompañan a esta clase de producto, no se permite que se le
haga ningún tipo de alteración o cambio.
El propietario u operador deberán tener un conocimiento del producto, de sus característi-
cas de operación y de las instrucciones de seguridad antes de utilizar el APLV. Se deben
enfatizar y comprender los datos de seguridad. Si el usuario no habla el español fluida-
mente, el comprador/propietario debe explicar las instrucciones de operación y seguridad
en su propio idioma, asegurándose que el usuario entienda su contenido.
El EPLV debe ser mantenido de acuerdo con las intrucciones del producto:
1. Cuando el gato mecánico no esta en uso, el brazo de levantamiento debe mantenerse
en la posición más baja.
2. Siempre mantenga límpio el gato mecánico y mantenga los tornillos y rulimanes buen
lubricados.
3. Mantenga límpias las partes que se pueden mover; lubrique estas partes móviles cada
3 meses.
Cualquier gato que parezca tener cualquier clase de daño, desgaste u operación anormal SE
DEBE RETIRAR DE SERVICIO MIENTRAS SE REPARE. Se recomienda que las debidas
reparaciones sean hechas en las instalaciones del fabricante o proveedor si es que el
fabricante o proveedor permite tales reparaciones.
(a) Se debe hacer una inspección visual antes de cualquier uso del gato para condiciones
anormales, tales como soldadura partida, fugas de líquido, o piezas ausentes o dañadas.
(b) Se deben hacer otras inspecciones de acuerdo con las instrucciones.
(c) Cada APLV deberá inspeccionarse de manera inmediata si se cree que el aparato ha sido
sometido a un golpe o a una carga fuera de lo normal. Se recomienda que tal inspección
sea hecha en las instalaciones del mismo fabricante o proveedor.
(d) El propietario y/o usuario debe(n) entender que la reparación de este equipo puede
requerir conocimientos e instalaciones especializadas. Se recomienda que se lleve a cabo
una inspección anual del gato en las mismas instalaciones del fabricante o proveedor y
que cualquier piezas, calcomanías, o etiquetas de seguridad defectuosas sean reempla
zadas con refacciones autoriza das por el fabricante o proveedor. El fabricante o
proveedor puede proporcionar una lista de los lugares de instalaciones aprobadas de
reparación.

(a) Estudie, entienda y siga todas las intrucciones antes de operar este aparato.
(b) No exceda la capacidad para la que ha sido diseñado.
(c) Utilice solamente en superficies duras y niveladas.
(d) Segura la placa de montaje mecanismo giratorio antes de aplicar una carga.
(e) Asegura que la carga esta centrado y garantizado con el montaje adjunto.
(f) La omisión de estas advertencias puede resultar en heridas personales o daños a la propiedad.
(a) Cargas fuera de centro pueden hacer que la carga maneje y este rotando en cualquier
dirección de rotación cuando el dispositivo se libera de bloqueo.
(b) Cuidadosamente y lentamente dispositiva el bloqueo de rotación de freno.

utilizados.
1. Antes de proceder con la colocación de la máquina, asegúrese de tener los pernos del
tamaño y tolerancia adecuado para montar la máquina sobre el sostén. Estos tornillos
deben ser comprados por separado de su ferretería local. USAR SOLO PERNOS DE
GRADO 8. Ver dibujo para las indicadas marcaduras de catueca del perno grado 8. Para
uso métrico, usar de grado 8.8 o mayor. Estos pernos vendrán marcados "8.8" en la
catueca. También, úsese siempre un perno que entre su filete cuando menos 1/2"
adentro de la máquina.
2. Quite el montaje cabezal del sostén para motores de su base y conéctelo directamente
a la máquina. Esto es má fácil que conectar la máquina al cabezal estando éste en su
bastidor. Trate siempre de montar el motor al sostén al punto más elevado del motor
arriba del cigücñal. Esto permite el más inmediato centro de gravedad para la rotación
del motor.
3. Antes de ajustar el cabezal (con el motor ya montado) sobre su base, asegúrese que
estén los cuatro pernos de montaje bien ajsutados en elmotor. También asegure el
debido ajuste de todos los demás puntos mencionados en las instrucciones de
montaje. Antes de proceder, lea bien y siga todas las instrucciones y precauciones
anteriormente mencionadas en el manual de instrucciones.
4. Lentamente coloque el cabezal en la base del sostén para máquinas. Reemplace la
clavija de traba en la base para asegurar la carga. Siempre estése al pendiente de
cualquier desequilibrio o sedimentación al volver a montar. También hay que asegurar
que esté el suelo anivelado, liso, y duro. El piso debería verse libre de grietas y
obstáculos que pudieran obstruir el movimiento. Cualquier desequilibrio inestabilidad
podría causar pérdida de carga o daño personal.
5. Importante - Nunca lleve a cabo ningún trabajo o inspección desde debajo del motor,
estando éste montado en el sostén. El componente de rotación debería ser usado para
acceso a la máquina desde todos los lados.
La posición de la rueda trasera del Sostén Motorhead para Motores es hacia la parte trasera
del sostén. (Véase dibujo a la derecha)

(4) Pasado De Abajo Hacia Arriba. El Perno Entrara Arandela Plana 1/2 " (17), Arandela De
Traba 1/2" (11), Tuerca Hexagonal 1/2" (18).
2. Conectar Pata Lateral Con Rueda (21) A La Pata Delantera (20) Usando Perno De 3/8" X 2 3/4"
(24), Arandela De Traba De 3/8" (25) Y Tuercas Hexagonales De 3/8" (15).
3. Deslice Montaje Cabezal (5) Hasta Adentro Del Collar En La Superficie Del Poste Central,
Alinear Agujeros Y Fijar Con Clavija De Traba (6).
4.Conectar 4 Brazos De Montaje (7) Al Montaje Cabezal Con Cuatro Pernos De 9/16" X 2 1/2" (8) ,
Y Cuatro Tuercas Hexagonales De 9/16" (10) Como Se Ve En El Dibujo. Los Brazos De Montaje
Se Pueden Ajustar Para La Mayoria De Los Motores.
