1. General information
The operating manual for the boiler is an integral part of the product and must be handed over to the user also in case
of transfer of ownership. Please read it carefully and keep it for future reference as the information regarding, among
other things, installation, operation, maintenance, safe use, if necessary, can provide appropriate guidance.
The installation of the boiler must be carried out in accordance with the standards and regulations of the country of
destination, according to the manufacturer's instructions and by trained and qualified personnel. Improper installation of
the boiler may cause injuries to people and animals and damage to property for which the manufacturer is not
responsible. The boiler may only be used for the purpose for which it was specifically designed. Any other use of the
boiler must be considered inappropriate and consequently dangerous.
In the event of errors during installation, operation or maintenance caused by failure to comply with the applicable
legislation, regulations or information contained in this manual, the manufacturer waives any contractual or extra-
contractual liability for the damage caused, and the guarantee relating to the appliance becomes null and void.
NOTE!
Please be advised that any unauthorised modifications to the appliance aimed at adapting the boiler to
carry out functions not provided for by the Manufacturer, including combustion processes and the use of
fuels other than those specified by the Manufacturer in this Operating Manual, are strictly prohibited and
constitute grounds for the loss of the guarantee for the appliance.
NOTE!
Boilers meeting the 5th class and ECODESIGN requirements are characterised by a low flue gas
temperature. Operation of such a boiler at a return water temperature lower than 55°C leads to
accelerated corrosion of the boiler exchanger. It is necessary to install a system increasing the return water
temperature, ensuring a temperature of at least 55°C. This is a prerequisite for the efficient operation of
the boiler and the recognition of warranty claims on the integrity of the heat exchanger.
2. Application of the boiler
Low-temperature water boilers for solid fuels with manual feed, type MPM Wood Plus are designed for operation in
open or pumped central heating systems with safety devices in accordance with PN-EN 12828:2013-05. MPM Wood
Plus boilers can operate in a closed system provided that a diaphragm expansion vessel, safety valve, control and
measurement fittings and DBV valve are installed in accordance with PN-EN 12828:2013-5, PN-EN 303-5+A1:2023-05
and recommendations contained in the boiler manual. Boilers installed in accordance with the recommendations of this
manual are not subject to the UDT. Boilers of the MPM Wood Plus type are recommended by the manufacturer mainly
for heating flats, detached houses, commercial pavilions, services, catering establishments, workshops, etc., where the
supply water temperature does not exceed 90°C and the operating pressure is 1.5 bar. The required flue gas draught
after the boiler is approx. 0.20 mbar. MPM Wood Plus boilers can be used to prepare domestic hot water with the use of
a heat exchanger installed in accordance with the PN-EN 12828:2013-05 standard. The selection of a boiler for heating a
given building should be strictly dependent on the heat balance drawn up for the heated premises in accordance with the
PN-EN 12831:2006 standard.
NOTE!
Due to the operating specifications of the solid fuel central heating boiler, supervision of the unit's
operation in the form of daily monitoring of the operating parameters is required. In the event of a power
failure, continuous monitoring of the boiler operation is required!
3. Boiler construction
The MPM Wood Plus boiler is an appliance of modern design, adapted for burning solid fuels (logs of deciduous trees -
beech or birch), gasifying the fuel. The gasification boiler has a structure which has separate chambers, in one of which
the process of fuel degassing takes place (production of combustible gas), while in the other - ceramic chamber, the
combustion of gases takes place. The fuel gasification boiler should be operated in conjunction with a buffer tank. The
minimum volume of the buffer tank is given in the Product Data Sheet in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU)
No 2015/1189. The MPM Wood Plus boiler is made of approved P265GH grade steel boiler plates with welded
construction. It has a large loading chamber to prevent fuel from hanging up, a movable cast-iron grate, a metal-ceramic
burner, an exchanger with a vertical arrangement of flue channels in which a swirler is installed. It is also equipped with a
draught switch for easier firing and faster passage through the so-called dew point. Air is supplied to the combustion
chamber and ceramic nozzle, with both primary and secondary air adjustable. The burner consists of a metal baffle with a
secondary air supply No. 1 and a ceramic-lined swirl-box, which is an integral part of the burner. Secondary air No. 2 with
circular inlets is supplied to the swirl unit.
The MPM Wood Plus boiler is equipped with a convenient, large loading door and also has a firing and ash door in the

front part. An innovation is the introduction of a system of smoke removal from the loading chamber, the smoke
removal duct of the gasifying boiler and the method of forcing the draught of the gasified flue gases, which prevents
the escape of smoke into the boiler room when adding fuel. In the upper part of the boiler, under the casing flap, there is
a clean-out hatch giving access to all heat exchanger channels and the ceramic nozzle. There is a flame viewer in the top
outlet. In both side walls of the boiler there is a cleaning device for removal of impurities generated during the
combustion process. The boiler in the standard version is designed to operate using natural draught, regulated by a
mechanical draught measurer. In the upper part of the boiler there is a muffle for the draught measurer, a safety valve
and a thermometer. In the rear wall there is a supply and return water muffle, a DBV thermostatic valve muffle and a
drain valve muffle. The hot flue gases give up their heat by passing through a steel heat exchanger, which is a system of
vertical convection channels, where they are cooled. The cooled flue gases leave the boiler through a steel flue
connected to the flue pipe at the rear of the boiler. The heat exchanger is fully insulated with 40 mm thick mineral wool.
4. Fuel
The fuel for the MPM Wood Plus boilers is firewood (hardwood logs) with a circumference of approximately 20 - 35 cm.
The wood recommended by the manufacturer is beech or birch. The wood must be dry and seasoned for at least two years.
Burning wet wood reduces the efficiency and adversely affects the service life of the boiler. It is forbidden to burn cardboard
packaging in the boiler, whose unburned pieces can block the airflow through the cast iron grate, as well as plastic packaging
which can damage the ceramic burner and other boiler components, but above all is a health hazard. Fuel for the boiler
should meet the quality requirements contained in Table 7 of the PN-EN 303-5+A1:2023-05 standard. The fuel parameters
are given in the tables below.

actions may contribute to boiler (furnace) damage, explosion, fire or damage to the health of the boiler
user.
NOTE!
Continuous use of wet fuels while maintaining a low flue gas temperature leads to accelerated wear of the
boiler, corrosion of the convection ducts, furnace plates, smoke stack and fouling of these surfaces. This is
caused by condensation of the products of combustion: water, nitrogen oxides and sulphur oxides which
create a very aggressive environment favouring accelerated corrosion.

7.Transport
The boilers are delivered in an assembled condition on a pallet in foil packaging. It is recommended that the boiler be
transported as close as possible to the final installation site in this packaging condition to minimise the possibility of
damage to the boiler casing. All packaging residues must be removed so that they do not pose a risk to people and
animals. The accessories and equipment are located inside the boiler, in the loading chamber. On the other hand, the
manuals and warranty cards are located under the top cleanout cover, packed and protected from damage. The
components are assembled by the installer according to the enclosed instructions. Use suitable lifting gear to lift and
lower the boiler. Before transporting the boiler, it should be secured against shifting and tilting on the vehicle platform
using straps, wedges or wooden blocks.

Transport the boiler in an upright position!

8. Boiler installation and requirements
The installation of the boiler should be carried out by qualified personnel with authorisations (specialised person with
appropriate training and authorisation to carry out maintenance and repair work). It is the installer's responsibility to
familiarise himself in detail with the product, its operation, the way the safety systems work and to impart the necessary
minimum knowledge on the commissioning and daily operation of the boiler to the end user. He should familiarise
himself with the instruction manual and the product before starting the installation work. The boiler operating at
nominal output should be connected to a heat buffer and then the buffer to the rest of the central heating system.
8.1. Open layout
The safeguarding of open-system waterborne heating installations must be carried out in accordance with the
requirements of the currently applicable, specific regulations of the country of destination (EN 12828+A1:2014-05
Heating installations in buildings - Design of waterborne central heating installations). The volume of the storage vessel
should be at least 4% of the volume of water contained in the entire heating system.
NOTA!
No valves may be installed on the rising and falling safety pipe and the circulation pipe, and these pipes and
the expansion vessel must be protected against water freezing in them.
Boilers of the MPM Wood Plus type can operate in both open and closed systems. An example of how to install the
boiler for central heating and hot water in an open system with forced water circulation is shown in Fig. 3. It is
recommended to install a thermostatic valve DBV-1 to drain excess energy in case of overheating of the boiler.

8.2. Closed system
It is possible to connect the MPM Wood Plus boiler in a closed installation provided that a diaphragm vessel, safety
valve, control and measurement equipment (manometer, thermometer, etc.), device for dissipation of excess heat and
protection against pressure increase are installed and the boiler operation requirements, in particular the recommended
operating temperature of 60-85°C, maximum permissible temperature of 90°C, maximum permissible operating
pressure of 1.5 bar, are met.
If the boiler is installed in a closed system, a reliable overheating protection device is required on the heating system.
The thermal overheating protection should be able to safely dissipate the maximum possible heat output in the event of a

fault or, with the heating partially switched off, the residual heat output (in accordance with EN 303-5+A1:2023-05). The
safeguarding of closed-system heating installations must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the
currently applicable, specific regulations of the country of destination (PN-EN 12828+A1:2014-05 Heating installations
in buildings - Design of waterborne central heating installations, PN-EN 303-5, Regulation of the Minister of
Infrastructure of 12.04.2002 Coll. No. 75 item 690 on technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location).

8.3. General requirements for boiler rooms
The room in which the MPM Wood Plus boiler will be installed must meet the requirements of the standard (e.g. PN-
87/B-02411). The basic conditions must be met, i.e:
•the boiler should be placed as close as possible to the chimney(s) and the entrance door to the boiler room should
open to the outside of the boiler room and be made of non-combustible materials,
•the boiler room should have an intake ventilation with a cross-section not less than 50% of the chimney cross-
section, but not less than 21x21 cm, with an outlet in the rear part of the boiler room (lack of intake ventilation or its
obstruction may cause: smoke, incorrect combustion and problems with reaching the nominal boiler output).
•the boiler room should have an exhaust ventilation under the ceiling, with a cross-section not less than 25% of the
chimney cross-section, but not less than 14x14 cm. Mechanical exhaust ventilation is prohibited.
8.4. Setting up the boiler
Boilers of the MPM Wood Plus type do not require special foundations; however, it is necessary to remember to level
the boiler precisely. It is recommended to place the boiler on a concrete platform with a height of 2 cm. If the boiler is
placed in a cellar, it is recommended to place it on a foundation with a height of at least 5 cm. It is permissible to place the
boiler directly on a non-combustible floor if there is no danger of groundwater inflow. When placing the boiler, the
strength of the ground as well as the fire protection conditions must be taken into account:
•maintain a safe distance of 1 m from flammable materials during installation and operation of the boiler,
•for flammable materials of flammability grade C which burn quickly and easily even when the source of ignition is
removed, this distance is doubled, i.e. to 2 m,
•if the degree of flammability is not known, the safety distance should also be doubled
The boiler should be positioned so as to allow easy and safe operation of the furnace, ash pan, fuel feed and boiler
cleaning. The distance of the boiler sides from the walls should not be less than 0.5 m, the back of the boiler not more

than 0.5 m and the front of the boiler from the opposite wall not less than 2 m. An example of boiler positioning is shown
in Figure 5.

8.5. Connecting the boiler to the chimney
The method of constructing the flue and connecting the boiler to it should be in accordance with the requirements of
the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of 12.03.2009 Journal of Laws 56/2009 item 461 concerning the
technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location).
The smallest section dimension or diameter of masonry flue pipes with natural draught and smoke ducts should be at
least 0.14m on the shorter side and, when using steel chimney liners, their smallest diameter dimension should be at least
0.16m.
The boiler should be connected to the chimney by means of a flue connection made in the form of a steel tube >3mm
thick (with temp. resistance > 400°C) and of a diameter enabling tight seating on the outlet of the flue and insertion into
the flue, which should rise gently upwards, the maximum length of the flue being 0.5m. The place where the flue terminal
connects to the chimney should be carefully sealed (high temperature silicone, ceramic sealant). The cross-section and
height of the flue pipe should ensure the required draught, the suitability of the chimney for use should be confirmed by
an authorised chimney sweep. The required draught of the waste gas is approx. 0.20mbar. The connection between the
boiler and the flue terminal should be sealed using high-temperature silicone > 300°C. Make sure that the boiler (flue
terminal) is not inserted too deeply into the vertical flue pipe, which will prevent proper flue gas discharge.
The dimensioning and selection of the flue pipe and connector should be entrusted to a qualified designer, and the
execution of the flue system should be carried out by a qualified person in accordance with the requirements of the
current, specific regulations of the country of destination.
The flue to which the central heating boiler will be connected must meet the requirements of the currently applicable,
specific regulations of the country of destination (e.g. PN-89/B-10425 Masonry smoke, flue gas and ventilation ducts.
Technical requirements and tests for acceptance; Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of Dz. U. 2015.1422 of
2015.09.18). Due to the low temperature of the flue gas, it is recommended that the flue pipes are made of acid-resistant
steel or ceramic materials, due to the possibility of condensation. The height and cross-section of the chimney and the
accuracy of its construction have a significant impact on the correct operation of the boiler and should therefore ensure
that the required amount of chimney draught is maintained. A draught that is too low can cause or encourage the
production of soot, which will settle in the boiler exchanger. Too much draught in the chimney will cause excessive
drawing of air into the firebox from outside, increasing heat losses. It can cause the phenomenon of flame break-up and
failure of the boiler to reach its rated output.
8.6. Connection of the boiler to the central heating system
An example of the MPM Wood Plus boiler connection scheme is shown in Fig. 3 and 4. The boiler should be connected
to the heating system with flanged or threaded connections, installed in an open system (PN-91/B-02413) and the hot
water system in accordance with PN-76/B-02440. The volume of the expansion vessel should be at least 4% of the
volume of water in the entire heating system. No valves may be installed on the pipes directly connected to the
expansion vessel, but good insulation of the pipes and vessel must be ensured.
Solid fuel boilers require a system to raise the temperature of the return water to the boiler (connection of the
boiler to a system equipped with a three-way valve, a four-way valve with an actuator or an anti-condensation valve with
a constant return temperature of min. 55°C). This protects the boiler from low-temperature corrosion, which
significantly extends its service life. Remember to maintain boiler operation with a return water temperature to the
boiler of no less than 55°C. Maintaining low temperatures on the boiler results in wet flue gas emissions. This can cause

dampness and corrosion of masonry chimneys, in which case an acid resistant steel insert or ceramic chimney should be
used.
NOTE!
To ensure correct boiler operation, the boiler must be protected against corrosion caused by water
returning from the central heating system at a temperature below the dew point. The temperature of
water returning to the boiler must be at least 55 ºC. The temperature difference of the heating medium
between the boiler feed and return should be in the range of 15 - 20 ºC. At a boiler operating temperature
of 85 - 90 °C, the return temperature should be at 65 °C. Failure to comply with the above condition results in the loss
of warranty and early wear of the boiler!
8.7. Boiler interaction with an accumulation tank
The purpose of accumulation tanks is to store surplus heat energy associated with fluctuating heat demand. The
energy created by the combustion of fuel is accumulated by the heating medium in an insulated tank, which ensures its
subsequent use for various purposes: central heating or domestic hot water heating. The advantage of the accumulation
process over a system that does not contain an accumulation tank is the rational use of fuel energy and therefore fuel
savings of up to 30%. This is linked to the efficiency of the boilers, which generally achieve the highest efficiencies at
nominal output. The purpose of the accumulation tank is to store periodic energy surpluses. Water heated in the boiler
flows through the accumulation tank, gradually charging the tank. Accumulation continues until the storage tank reaches
its set temperature. The thermal insulation of the tank guarantees the energy efficiency of the entire system. After the
fire in the boiler has gone out, the stored heat can still be used for several hours.
NOTE!
It is recommended that the boiler works in a system with a storage tank and thermoregulator. The minimum
return temperature should be 55°C. Failure to meet the above requirements voids the boiler warranty!
NOTE!
Incorrect installation or operation at too low temperatures can damage the boiler.
9. Operation and use of the boiler
9.1. Filling the system with the heating medium
The boiler and the entire system should be filled with the heating medium via the boiler drain connection. It is
recommended that the water hardness does not exceed the average hardness of 10-15 (<5.35 mval/dm3) and has an
alkaline reaction (pH>7). Do not fill the system with spring water, water from your own well (untreated) due to the high
value of iron, the water in the system should be supplied from the waterworks and be treated. The complete filling of the
system is evidenced by the water flowing out of the overflow pipe. Do not allow water to enter the system while the
boiler is operating, especially if the boiler is very hot, as this can cause damage.
NOTE!!
Filling the boiler with spring water, water from your own water intake (untreated) causes a corrosion process
and leaks can occur in the boiler after only a few months.
9.2. Start-up and operation of the boiler
Start firing up the fuel in the boiler after making sure that the heating system is filled with water and that it has not
frozen. When starting up the boiler, warm up the chimney and heat up the boiler to a temperature of approx. 80°C. If the
appliance makes a rattling noise during operation, it means that there is a build up of air in the system and it must be
vented again.The next firing-up phase is as follows: completely open the direct draught damper using the lever located
under the boiler cleanout on the right side. The firing-up lever is tilted as far as possible towards the rear of the boiler.
(See fig.6).

Open the boiler firing-up door. The filling door, ash pan door and cleanout cover should be tightly closed. Firing-up in
the MPM Wood Plus boiler takes place on the ceramic-iron grate, as close as possible to the inlet / window in the metal
partition, initially with crushed pieces of paper to heat the chimney and with fine wood. In order to obtain the nominal
output of the boiler, a layer of embers should be created, using small pieces of wood, up to the height of the upper baffle
(see diagram item no. 23), and the boiler should then be refuelled. Once the fine wood has been lit on the cast iron grate
through the firing door, close it and then open the filling door, the other doors being tightly closed at this time. The
combustion air is supplied through the boiler feed. The fuel will ignite when the layer of embers reaches the level of the
burner about 20 cm from the grate, we add the main fuel to the boiler, close the flap of the short combustion circuit (see
picture no. 7).

The boiler is equipped with a gas valve and air supply through the loading door, and by means of an appropriate
adjustment of the slider in the ash door and the draught metering device, set up to the maximum boiler set temperature.
After firing up the boiler and filling in the fuel, do not open the charging door for the first 3-4 hours to degas the fuel. The
regulation of secondary air in the boiler is performed by two sliding flaps placed at the back of the boiler in its bottom
part (see pict. 8).

Through the flame viewer located in the upper boiler hatch, we can observe the colour of the flame:
•red - too little secondary air
•bright white fire - too much secondary air
•clean, intense yellow fire - optimal amount of secondary air
Before adding fuel to the boiler, open the flap of the short flue gas circuit as far as possible and close the flap in the
ash door by reducing the temperature on the draught regulator, then slowly open the hopper door and wait a few
seconds for smoke to escape from the chamber. This will prevent smoke from entering the boiler room when adding fuel.
Once the fuel is added to the boiler, close the flap of the short flue gas circuit and set the previously reduced set
temperature on the draught regulator.
Smoke into the boiler room or dewing (sweating) of the boiler may occur during firing up. After the boiler and flue
have warmed up, the above symptoms should disappear. After firing up, close the flap of the short circuit - put the handle
in the vertical position.
9.3. Low-temperature corrosion
The boilers should be operated with a supply and return temperature difference of 10-20°C and a return water
temperature of not less than 55°C. In addition, operating the boiler at a central heating system feed water temperature
below 60°C causes the water vapour contained in the flue gases to condense on the boiler walls. In the initial period of
use, condensate may leak from the boiler onto the boiler room floor. Prolonged use at lower temperatures may cause
corrosion, thinning of the boiler plates up to 1-2 mm and thus shortening the service life of the boiler. Therefore, it is not
recommended to operate the boiler at central heating system feed water temperatures below 60°C. For proper, trouble-
free and efficient operation of the boiler it is recommended to operate the boiler with nominal output and a temperature
on the boiler of at least 65°C. It is also recommended to install a mixing valve.

NOTE!
If the boiler is operated with a central heating water temperature of less than 60°C, tar precipitation
from the burnt fuel intensifies and the boiler exchanger and flue pipe become overgrown with tar
deposits, creating the risk of soot ignition in the chimney.
9.4. Boiler shutdown
The boiler will extinguish itself after the fuel has burned out. In order to extinguish the boiler before the fuel burns
out, you can:
•close the primary combustion air supply and open secondary air flaps 1 and 2 as much as possible,
•Remove embers from the ashpan into a heatproof container with a lid,
•check the firebox for spontaneous combustion after several minutes!
Always remove unburned fuel from the boiler after the end of the heating season and if the boiler will be out of operation
for more than two days, and leave the boiler with the door ajar. Clean the entire boiler after the heating season or when
not using the boiler for a longer period of time.
10.Boiler settings
Primary air is metered through the ash door and the loading door. In the ash door, the primary air is dosed through a hole
with a diameter of 8 mm (the appearance of smoke in this hole indicates insufficient chimney draught or that the primary
air flap is open too much). In the ash door, through the air damper which is in the maximum open position. in the ash door,
through the air flap which is set in the fully open position, under which there is an aperture to regulate the amount of
primary air set at 30 - 45 on the scale used, depending on the type of wood and its moisture content. The setting of the
recommended amount of primary air is shown in figure no. 9, depending on the type and moisture content of the wood,
the setting values may be slightly higher or lower.

Secondary air No. 1 located on the boiler side exhausts open to a width of 17mm. On the other hand, the secondary
air No. 2 located on the boiler side exhausts open to the maximum. The secondary air settings are shown in drawing No.

11.Cleaning and maintenance of the boiler
In order to achieve the declared output and thermal efficiency of the boiler and economical fuel consumption, it is
necessary to keep the combustion chamber and exchanger ducts properly clean. In the boiler combustion chamber,
particular attention should be paid to thorough removal of ash and slag from the grate slots, chamber walls and ceramic
burner elements. Such cleaning should be done before each time the boiler is fired up. The exchanger channels are
cleaned through the boiler top cleanout every 4 to 7 days, depending on the quality of burnt fuel and degree of
exchanger fouling. The fouling is removed through the side clean-out openings. After cleaning, the clean-out openings
must be tightly closed. Danger! The operating temperature of individual boiler parts can reach up to 400°C! To clean the

boiler, switch it off and wait for the time necessary for the temperature of the heat transfer surface to decrease. All
operations must be carried out with particular care and may only be carried out by adults. Ensure that no children are in
the vicinity when cleaning the boiler. Use gloves, safety goggles and headgear when handling the boilers.
11.1. Seasonal maintenance
At the end of the heating season, the boiler must be thoroughly cleaned and the heating surfaces preserved, e.g. with
clean oil (not vegetable oil). After the main cleaning and preservation of the boiler exchanger, leave the door open so that
the air can flow freely through the boiler and wash the exchanger. Periodically check the condition of the hinges, handles
and sealant. To replace the sealing cord, remove it from the door groove with a screwdriver and clean the groove. Insert
the new sealing cord into the cleaned groove, starting at the horizontal part. Press the cord carefully around the entire
circumference of the door so that the door can be closed. A full inspection should be carried out once a year when the
boiler is stationary. Any faults found in the boiler, e.g. natural wear of wearing parts, must be reported to an authorised
service centre, replaced by yourself or with the assistance of a service centre. Cleaning of the flue and checking the
draught is also important for the correct operation of the boiler.
11.2. Emergency shutdown of the boiler
In cases of emergency or emergency conditions, such as:
•exceeding the maximum boiler water temperature of more than 100˚C,
•sudden increase in system pressure,
•identification of a sudden, large water leak in the boiler or system,
•cracks in pipes, radiators, associated fittings (valves, gate valves, pumps),
•other hazards to the continued safe operation of the boiler.
The following recommendations should be followed:
•remove the fuel from the firebox into a tin container, taking care not to burn or fume (use short periods of time in
the boiler room, open doors or vents where possible). The removal of embers from the firebox should only be
carried out with the assistance of another person. In the event of heavy smoke in the boiler room, which does not
allow efficient removal of the embers, call the fire brigade. It is permissible to fill the combustion chamber with
dry sand. It is absolutely prohibited to flood the embers in the firebox with water. Such flooding may only take
place outside the boiler room, in the open air, from a distance of no less than 3m;
•determine the cause of the fault and, once the fault has been corrected and the boiler and plant are in good
working order, proceed with cleaning and commissioning of the boiler plant.
12.Behaviour in the event of a flue gas fire
NOTE!
Flue gas escaping from a clogged flue is hazardous to health and life. The connector and chimney should be
kept clean. They should be cleaned before each heating season.
A soot fire in the chimney is caused by the ignition of particles accumulated inside the flue pipe, which have collected
there during the operation of the heating appliance and have not been cleaned by the chimney sweep. In the event of a
fire in the chimney, it is necessary to:
•call the Fire Brigade, giving the exact address and communicating what is happening,
•extinguish the fire in the boiler,
•close the door to the boiler and the flue outlet tightly, cutting off the air supply,
•inspect the entire length of the flue pipe on the room side and check that there are no cracks in the pipe.
NOTE!
It is absolutely forbidden to extinguish the chimney with water; there is a risk of it bursting!
NOTE!
After a soot fire in the chimney, a chimney sweep must be called to clean the flues and check their condition!
13.Security
The boiler operator should be aware that some boiler surfaces are hot and protective gloves should be worn before
touching them. The hot parts are: the cleanout cover under the top cover including the flame viewer, the boiler side
cleanouts with secondary air control, the door and the boiler flue. Protective goggles must be worn. The boiler may only
be operated by adults. Under no circumstances should children or persons under eighteen years of age come near the
boiler.
In order to maintain safe operation of the boiler, the rules must be followed:
•ensure that the boiler and the system are in good technical condition, especially the water and flue gas leaks,

•keep the boiler room in good order,
•when opening the boiler door, do not stand in front of the openings but on the side,
•during the winter period, the heating should not be interrupted to prevent the water in the system or parts of it
from freezing. Freezing of the safety (overflow) pipe in particular is very dangerous as it can damage the boiler,
•the condition of the cast iron grates should be inspected; if the cast iron grates are found to be worn, they should
be replaced with new ones (this is a consumable that must be replaced),
•it is forbidden to light the boiler with agents such as petrol, paraffin, solvent; this may cause an explosion or burn
the user,
•in the event of a system malfunction and a lack of water in the boiler, do not refill it when the boiler is very hot,
this can damage the boiler,
•do not empty the boiler of water outside the heating season,
•rectify all boiler faults immediately,
•when working on the boiler, use portable lamps with a safety voltage of not more than 24 V,
•bear in mind that the boiler is made of sheet metal and may therefore have sharp edges, care should be taken and
protective gloves should be worn to avoid injury to the user.
14.Security
14. 1. Thermometer
There is a thermometer on the top of the boiler to monitor the temperature of the water inside the boiler. The
thermometer should be monitored as it is the primary source of information on the risk of damage to the boiler due to
excessively high temperatures. A thermometer indicating the temperature and a pressure gauge indicating the water
pressure are essential for the safety of the heating installation.
14.2. Mechanical draught excluder
Once the boiler has been properly set up in accordance with the guidelines in Chap. 9.2. Commissioning and use of the
boiler, the thermal protection of the boiler will also be provided by a mechanical draught meter, which is an essential
accessory for the boiler.
14.3. Thermostatic valve DBV-1
The boiler in the rear part has a coupler adapted for installation of the thermostatic valve DBV-1. It is worth equipping
the boiler with such a valve, because when the boiler overheats above the temperature of 97°C ±2°C, the valve will open
the flow of cold tap water, which will cool the boiler below the temperature of 97°C. The waste water flow from the valve
should be discharged to a drain. If the central heating system will operate in a closed circuit and the boiler is not equipped
with the DBV-1 thermostatic valve on the customer's request, the fitter connecting the boiler must use another thermal
protection in compliance with the Polish regulations in force - protection against the increase of the system pressure in
case of freezing of the expansion vessel. If a safety valve is installed, the installer is obliged to connect the drainage pipe
to a drainage pipe, or as low to the floor as possible. Safety valves must comply with pr. EN 1268-1[16]: • minimum
diameter DN 15 open at a pressure not exceeding the maximum design pressure in the system and prevent the maximum
operating pressure from being exceeded by more than 10% should be installed in such a way that the pressure loss in the
connecting pipe to the installation does not exceed 3%. It is very important that if the boiler is not retrofitted with the
DBV-1 thermostatic valve, the socket should be secured with a 3/4" steel plug.
15. Warranty conditions
1) The manufacturer guarantees the efficient operation of the boiler, provided that it is installed and operated in
accordance with all the conditions and recommendations contained in this operating manual.
2) The warranty period is calculated from the date of sale of the boiler to the purchaser and is as follows:
•4 years on exchanger tightness (welded connections)
•2 years for electronic and automation components fitted to the boilers and manufactured by other
manufacturers (manufacturers' warranties):
•Air draft meter
•Thermostatic valve DBV
3) Consumables subject to regular replacement are not covered by the guarantee:
•Sealant - sealing cords
•Insulating material - vermiculite
•Thermometer
•Chamotte - Ceramics

4) During the guarantee period, the manufacturer shall ensure that the subject of the contract is repaired free of charge
within 21 days from the date of notification. If the customer prevents the service technician from repairing the boiler
within the agreed period, the customer shall bear the costs of the service technician's travel and work.
5) Notification of a defect under warranty repair should be made immediately upon discovery of the defect and
addressed directly to the manufacturer's address.
6) It is permissible to replace the boiler if the manufacturer determines that it cannot be repaired.
7) In the event of an unfounded service call, the customer pays the costs of the service technician's arrival and work.
8) The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage caused in transit.
9) Any changes to the design of the boiler made by the purchaser without prior notification to the manufacturer will
result in immediate loss of warranty.
10) The manufacturer is not responsible for incorrect boiler selection by the ordering party.
11) The guarantee is provided in the Republic of Poland.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make any design changes to the boiler as well as to the casing and external
appearance and external appearance. These changes may not be apparent in this documentation, while the essential,
described characteristics of the product will be maintained.
NOTE!
It is forbidden to burn in the boiler substances of organic origin, such as rubber, plastics and derivatives of
the above mentioned substances. Burning such substances in the boiler will cause smoke during combustion
or may damage the ceramic burner, which will result in the loss of warranty.
16. Disposal of the boiler
The components used in the manufacture of the boiler are made of materials which change their state of aggregation
and chemical activity at temperatures far in excess of those achievable with normal boiler operation. The materials used
in the manufacturing of the appliance do not emit harmful substances to the environment and people, even under
conditions exceeding those of normal operation of the boiler. For disposal of the boiler, hand over the used appliance to a
specialised disposal unit in accordance with the current specific regulations of the country of destination. The parts 12
which protect the boiler during transport: foil, bags, plastics, must be taken to a suitable collection point. The steel
structure of the boiler is subject to waste collection - steel scrap. Insulation materials such as mineral wool, sealant,
thermal insulation should be taken to a suitable collection point. The collection point should be determined by the
relevant municipal or communal services.
