1. Overview
1.1 What is the MPortable?
The MPortable is the ideal companion for
photographers as well as filmmakers who want to
secure their photos (RAW and JPEG) and videos
while traveling. Use your mobile devices
(Smartphone or Tablet). No need for a Notebook, a
stand-alone PC or additional power source.
MPortable is an external disk with a 128GB
240GB or 512GB mSSD memory module.
MPortable has a multi-card reader for microSD, SD
and CF cards, as well as a WLAN module. The
power supply for all components is provided by the
built-in 4000mAh battery.
When switched on, photos and videos stored on
the inserted storage media are automatically
copied to the internal SSD and into individual
subfolders named by date - without the need for a
PC or Notebook.

Use the available apps (iOS and Android) to
access the stored media over WLAN via your
Smartphone or Tablet PC. Here, the integrated
RAW support is particularly emphasized.
The app allows you to view photos and videos in
full screen, evaluate or locally store them on
mobile devices either as a JPEG file or, if available,
in their original RAW format.
Thus mobile image editing / development using a
Tablet is easy and a PC is not required.
In addition, MPortable can be connected via the
integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface to your
home / office network and then used as network
storage.

MPortable can also act as a WiFi hotspot via its
built-in WLAN module.
Thus it is e.g. readily possible to upload a photo or
video off the MPortable and forward it via email or
directly to social networks.
Photos and videos locally stored on Smartphones
or Tablets can be copied to the MPortable as well.
The integrated USB .0 - interface enables
MPortable to operate as a conventional external
SSD hard drive.
The integrated conventional USB 2.0 - port allows
the use as a power bank to recharge mobile
devices such as Smartphones.
