IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to
persons, basic safety precautions should always be followed
when using electrical appliances, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE
COFFEE MAKER.
2. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponding
to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.
For Mainland China, standard electrical outlet is 220V~50Hz.
3. DO NOT touch the coffee maker’s hot surfaces. Use
handles or knobs.
4. To protect against electric shock, DO NOT immerse the
power cord, power plug or coffee maker in water or in any
other liquid.
5. Turn the coffee maker off and unplug the power cord from
the power source when the coffee maker are not in use
and before cleaning. Allow the coffee maker parts to cool
before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the
appliance.
6. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged power
cord or power plug, or operate it after the appliance
malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Take
this appliance only to the nearest Authorized Service Center
for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments other than those recommended
by the manufacturer may cause hazards or injuries.
8. DO NOT use the coffee maker outdoors.
9. DO NOT let the power cord hang over edge of table or
counter, or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces.
10.DO NOT place this coffee maker on or near a hot gas stove
or electric burner or in a heated oven.
11.To disconnect the coffee maker, turn it off, then remove the
power plug from the power supply.
12.Place the appliance on a hard, flat level surface to avoid
interruption of airflow underneath the coffee maker.
13.This coffee maker is designed for household use only.

DECANTER USE AND CARE
Follow the instructions below to reduce or eliminate the chance of
breaking the glass decanter:

range top or in any oven, including a microwave oven.
• DO NOT set a hot decanter on a wet or cold surface.
• DO NOT use a cracked decanter or a decanter having a loose or
weakened handle.
• DO NOT clean the decanter with abrasive cleaners, steel wool
pads or other abrasive materials.
• Discardthedecanterimmediatelyifitiseverboileddry.
• Protectthedecanterfromsharpblows,scratchesorrough
handling.
NOTE: Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing cycles.

COFFEE MAKER FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Your new Mr. Coffee®coffee maker has the following features:
• Brewing Capacity – 4 Cups – glass decanter.
• Removable Filter Basket – The filter basket pulls out for fast and easy
cleaning and filling.
• Pause ‘n Serve – Can’t wait for the coffee to finish brewing? The Pause ‘n
Serve feature allows you up to 30 seconds to pour a cup of coffee while the
coffee maker is still brewing. Carefully remove the decanter and the Pause ’n
Serve feature will be automatically activated, temporarily stopping the flow of
coffee into the decanter.
• Dual Water Windows – Show amount of water in the reservoir for accurate filling.
• Non-Stick Warming Plate – Allows you to keep your coffee hot after brewing.
The non-stick attribute prevents the decanter from sticking to the surface of
the warming plate.
• Cord Storage – Safely stores excess cord to keep your countertop neat.
• On/Off Indicator Light – Lets you know when your coffee maker is “on”.
MakesureyourrstcupofcoffeeisasgoodascanbebycleaningyourMr.Coffee®
coffeemakerbeforeitsrstuse.Justfollowthesesimplesteps:
1. Washthedecanter,decanterlidandthelterbasketinamixtureofmilddetergent
and water. Rinse each thoroughly (please refer to the Description of the Appliance).
2. Replace all the parts and close the lid. Then, run a brew cycle with water only,
withoutaddingcoffeeandcoffeelter.
3. When brewing is complete, turn your coffee maker off, discard the water in the
decanterandrinsethedecanter,decanterandlterbasket.
Your coffee maker is now ready to use. Enjoy it!

PREPARING FOR USE
Selecting and Measuring Ground Coffee
For best results, use a level tablespoon for ground coffee measurement.Make
sure you use medium grind coffee for a perfect brew.
A. Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart
To Brew Ground Coffee
4 Cups 3 tbsp.
2 Cups 1.5 tbsp.
1 level tablespoon (tbsp) = 5 gr./0.17 oz.
1 cup = 5 fl. oz. (148 mL) of brewed coffee
Use more or less coffee to suit your taste.
B. Adding Water and Ground Coffee
1. Lift and open the coffee maker lid. For your
convenience, you can lift out the removable filter
basket.
2. Place a 4 cup paper basket-style filter (not included)
or the included permanent filter into the brew basket.
(see Figure 1).
NOTE: If using paper filters, it is important that the
sides of the filter fit flush against the side of the filter
basket. If filter collapse occurs, dampen the filter
before placing in the filter basket and adding ground
coffee and water.
3. Add the desired amount of coffee and gently shake to level the coffee. See
the Suggested Coffee Measurement Chart.
4. Be sure the filter basket is properly centered and all the way down in the
filter basket.
5. Fill the decanter with cold, fresh water to the desired capacity (1 cup equals
148 mL). For easy and accurate filling, the water markings on the decanter
and on the dual water windows show the amount of water needed to make
the corresponding desired number of cups. Do not fill past the “MAX line” or
water will flow out of the overfill hole in the back of the water reservoir.
NOTE: The amount of coffee brewed will always be slightly less than the amount
of water poured in the water reservoir. This is due to the minimum absorption of
water by the coffee grounds.
6. Pour the water into the water reservoir. Close the lid and place the empty
decanter onto the warming plate.

CAUTION: To reduce the risk of damaging the decanter and/or the risk of
personal injury, do not add cold water to the decanter if the decanter is already
hot. Allow the decanter to cool before using. Do not place the decanter in the
dishwasher.
1. Press the ON/OFF Switch on the control panel so the green indicator light
illuminates. The light indicates that the coffee maker is on and that the brew
cycle will begin. To turn off the coffee maker, push the switch so the light is
no longer illuminated.
2. While the coffee is brewing, the Pause ’n Serve feature allows you to sneak
a cup of coffee from the decanter. REPLACE THE DECANTER ON THE
WARMING PLATE WITHIN 30 SECONDS TO PREVENT OVERFLOW AND
POSSIBLEINJURY.
CAUTION: If the brew basket overflows or fails to empty into the decanter,
do not open the brew basket. Turn off the coffee maker. Unplug the coffee
maker and wait for the contents to cool before handling.
3. After the used coffee grounds have cooled, carefully discard them.
4. Make sure the decanter is empty before starting to brew coffee.
5. Be sure to turn your coffee maker off when no longer using it.
BREWING COFFEE NOW
NOTE: Make sure the decanter is fully placed on the warming plate or the water
and the grounds will overflow from the filter basket. An overflow may cause
personal injury or damage to property.
Daily Cleaning
Always unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool before cleaning.
Remove the filter basket, permanent filter, decanter and decanter lid and wash
them in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
Dishwasher top rack safe parts: glass decanter and lid, filter basket and
permanent filter.
CAUTION! Never immerse the coffee maker itself in water, in any other liquid or
place in the dishwasher.
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance
Decalcifying your Mr. Coffee®coffee maker minerals (calcium/limestone) found
in water will leave deposits in your coffee maker and affect its performance. It’s
recommended that you regularly remove these deposits using vinegar.

1. Prepare a solution using at least 4 cups of undiluted white household
vinegar may be used to clean.
2. Pour the vinegar into the water reservoir.
3. Place an empty 4 cup basket-style paper filter or the permanent filter that
came with the unit into the filter basket and close the coffee maker lid.
4. Place the empty decanter back in the unit, centered on the warming plate.
5. Brew three cups of cleaning solution through the coffee maker.
6. Turn the coffee maker off and let stand for 30 minutes.
7. Run the remainder of the cleaning solution through the coffee maker.
8. Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanter thoroughly with clean
water.
9. Fill the water reservoir with clean, fresh water.
10. Place the empty decanter back on the coffee maker, centered on the
warming plate.
11. Remove and discard the paper filter used during the cleaning cycle. If the
permanent was used during cleaning, remove it and rinse it thoroughly
before replacing it in the filter basket.
12. Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.
13. Repeat steps 9 through 12 one more time.
Your coffee maker is now clean and ready to brew the next pot of delicious, hot
coffee!

Coffee Filters – Basket-style paper filers can be found at most grocery stores
and other retailers. If you need to replace the permanent filter, please contact
the Consumer Service number as printed on the back of this manual.
Cleaning the Decanter
Hard water can leave a whitish stain inside the decanter, and coffee may then
turn this stain brown.
To remove decanter stains:
1. Fill the decanter with a solution of equal parts water and vinegar and let the
solution stand in it for approximately 20 minutes.
2. Discard the solution, then wash and rinse the decanter.
DO NOT use harsh abrasive cleaners that may scratch the decanter.

重要安全措施

选择并量取咖啡粉
为了获得最佳的效果，请使用一把大匙，量取一平匙咖啡粉。
务必使用中磨的咖啡粉，以获得最佳的冲煮效果。
A. 推荐的咖啡量取表
冲煮 咖啡粉
4 杯 3 匙
2 杯 1.5 匙
1平匙（匙）= 5克/0.17盎司
1杯 = 5液盎司（148毫升）冲煮好的咖啡
根据您个人的口味，增加或减少咖啡量。
B. 加水和咖啡粉
1. 打开冲煮兜盖，拿出可拆卸过滤篮。
2. 将一个容量为4杯的篮子样式的纸质过滤网(另
购)或附送的永久性过滤网放入到冲煮篮中。
注意：如果使用纸质过滤网，必须将过滤网的侧
边与过滤篮的侧边齐平放置，并且紧密贴合。如
果过滤网塌陷，将过滤网弄湿，然后再将其放入
过滤篮中，最后加入咖啡粉和水。
3. 加入所需量的咖啡，并轻轻地摇晃，使咖啡变
平。参考“推荐的咖啡量取表”。
4. 请确定滤纸在可拆式滤篮的正中。
5. 往咖啡壶加所需要容量（1杯等于148毫升）的
冷水。如果要想要轻松、准确地加水，请查看水位显示窗和储水
箱上标示的水位线。这些水位线指出了冲煮相应所需杯数的咖啡
所要加入的水量。加水时，切勿使水超过“最大量水位线”，否
则水会从咖啡机中溢出来。
注意：所要冲煮的咖啡量要始终稍微少于加入储水箱中的水量。这是
因为咖啡粉会吸收小量水。
6. 在储水箱加入适当份量的自来水。关上冲煮兜盖, 将咖啡壶放在
保温盘上。
注意：请确定热咖啡壶已在保温盘上正确固定好，否则水或咖啡会
从冲煮兜中溢出并可能导致受伤或财物损坏。
小心：为减低咖啡壶损坏及/或受伤的风险，如咖啡壶处于温热状态
下，切勿加入冻水。请在咖啡壶冷却后才使用。 切勿将热咖啡壶放
入洗碗机中清洗。

1. 按下开关按钮，令绿色指示灯亮起。此指示灯亮起时，表示咖啡
机正在运作，并会开始冲煮程序。如要关掉咖啡机，请按下开关
按钮，令指示灯熄灭。
2. 咖啡正在冲煮时， 暂停功能可让你先行享受一杯咖啡。请于30秒
内把咖啡壶放回保温盘上，以免咖啡溢出或受伤。
注意：如果冲煮兜满溢或未能完全冲进咖啡壶，切勿打开冲煮兜
盖。请关掉咖啡机。拔出电源插头，并等待至冷却后才处理。
3. 请让用完的咖啡粉冷却后才倒掉。
4. 确保热咖啡壶在开始煮咖啡之前已被清空。

日常清洁
清洁之前，务必拔掉咖啡机的电源插头，并让其冷却。取下过滤
篮、咖啡壶、壶盖，然后用热水和中性的肥皂液对它们进行清洗。
切勿使用磨擦性清洁剂、钢丝球或其它磨擦性材料进行清洗。
注意！切勿将咖啡机浸入水中、其它液体或放入洗碗机中。
定期清洁与保养
如果脱除咖啡机的水中矿物质（钙/石灰石），会在咖啡机中留下
沉淀物质，因而会影响咖啡机的性能。建议您使用醋或者咖啡清洗
液，定期地清除沉淀物质。
1. 配制一杯至少含有1升未稀释的家用白醋溶液，以便用于清洗。
2. 将醋倒入储水箱中。
3. 将一个容量为4杯的蓝子样式的纸质空过滤网或随咖啡机附送的
永久性过滤网放入过滤篮中，然后将冲煮篮滑入到位。
4. 请将空的热咖啡壶重新放回到咖啡机中。
5. 冲煮三杯容量的清洗溶液以清洗咖啡机。
6. 关掉咖啡机，然后让清洗溶液留在咖啡机中约30分钟。
7. 让剩余的清洗溶液继续清洗咖啡机。
8. 将清洗溶液倒掉，然后用干净的水彻底冲洗热咖啡壶。
9. 在储水箱中加入干净的淡水。
10. 将空的热咖啡壶放回到咖啡机上。
11. 在清洗期间，取下并扔掉纸质过滤网。如果在清洗期间使用了永
久性过滤网，请将它取下，并用水彻底清洗，然后将它重新装回
到过滤篮中。
12.开始冲煮，并完成整个冲煮周期。
13.再次重复步骤9到12。

清洗热咖啡壶
硬水会在热咖啡壶的里面留下白色的污迹，而咖啡则可能会将这种
污迹变为褐色的。
如果要清除这些留在热咖啡壶中的污迹：
1. 在咖啡壶中加入用水和醋各一半调制的溶液，并且让这种溶液静
置约20分钟。
2. 倒掉这种溶液，然后清洗并冲洗热咖啡壶。
切勿使用粗糙的研磨性清洁剂，因为这样有可能会擦伤热咖啡壶。
