1 Veiligheid

1.1 Veiligheidsvoorschriften
• Deze handleiding bevat belangrijke informatie voor de veiligheid. Het is onmogelijk om alle mogelijke gevaren te
beschrijven, die van het gebruik van de rookafzuiger kunnen ontstaan. Het juiste gebruik van het toestel moet met de
fabriek besproken worden. Het bedienend personeel moet de strengste veiligheidsprocedures kennen en opvolgen.
• Gebruik dit toestel volgens de voorschriften van de fabrikant. Voor verdere vragen, contacteer de fabrikant of uw verdeler.
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer uit voor het onderhoud of de reiniging en vergrendel de stroomtoevoer, om een onbedoeld
inschakelen te voorkomen.
• Draag werkkledij en een veiligheidsbril tijdens het gebruik en het onderhoud van de rookafzuiger.
• Gebruik geschikt hef- en hanteringsmateriaal bij de installatie van het toestel.
• Elektrische aansluitingen moeten door gekwaliceerd personeel uitgevoerd worden.
• Houd ontvlambare materialen en dampen zoals benzine ver van de rookafzuiger.
• Bij het afzuigen van roken die van vonkproducerende processen ontstaan, moeten voorzorgmaatregelen genomen worden
om brand te voorkomen. Raadpleeg branddeskundigen, die u zullen adviseren bij de keuze van detectie- en blussystemen.
Raadpleeg ook uw verzekeraar.
• Lees en begrijp alle veiligheidsinformatiebladen over processen in verband met het gebruik van dit toestel.
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer uit voor onderhoud of reparatie.
• De rookafzuiger mag niet gebruikt worden zonder dat de afzuigslang (of goedgekeurde zuigkap) geïnstalleerd is.

2 Omschrijving
De rookafzuiger is ontworpen voor een zeer efciënte ltratie van de rook die tijdens het lassen vrijkomt. De verontreinigingen
worden bij de bron door de slang opgevangen, en schone lucht wordt vervolgens naar de werkruimte geblazen.
Figuur 1 toont de basiswerking en identiceert de bedieningselementen van het systeem.
Wanneer de drukverlies constant is, of als de luchtstroom niet meer voldoende is om de rook op te vangen, moet het lter
vervangen worden.

4 Installatie
De rookafzuiger is een draagbaar systeem, dat met veel accessoires uitgerust kan worden, om aan de eisen van verschillende
toepassingen te voldoen. Raadpleeg het desbetreffende hoofdstuk bij de installatie van uw systeem.
4.1 Het toestel uitpakken en controleren
Voer bij de levering van uw toestel een zichtcontrole uit, om eventuele transportschade te detecteren. Een beschadigd karton
kan betekenen dat het toestel een ruwe behandeling heeft ondergaan, die interne beschadiging kon veroorzaken, en een
normale werking van uw toestel verhinderen. In geval van schade, contacteer de vervoerder om een klacht in te dienen.
Het wordt aangeraden het toestel op het pallet te laten bevestigd als u een hef- of transportmiddel om het naar de opstelplaats
te brengen. Het wordt afgeraden de rookafzuiger met een vorkheftruck te transporteren wanneer deze niet meer op het pallet
bevestigd is.
2.1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
The fume extractor is designed to provide high efficiency filtration of fume generated during welding processes.
contaminants are captured at the source through the extraction arm hood, clean air is then recirculated back to the
working area. figure 1 illustrates the basic operation and identifies the key components of the system.
When the pressure drop remains consistently above 4 , or the generated airflow can no longer suitable capture the weld
fume, the filter should be replaced.

4.2 Veiligheid bij de installatie
Deze rookafzuiger bestaat uit een afzuigslang en een mobiele afzuiger op wielen, en moet geassembleerd worden voor
gebruik. Lees de volgende veiligheidsvoorschriften voor de installatie en het gebruik dan uw rookafzuiger.
WAARSCHUWING!
• Het systeem mag niet aangesloten worden zolang de afzuigslang niet correct geïnstalleerd werd.
• Plaats het toestel niet op een hellend oppervlak of op een plaats waar het kan kantelen.
• Een regelmatig onderhoud van het toestel is belangrijk, namelijk de reiniging, het vervangen van het lter en het
verwijderen van de verontreinigingen.
• Beweeg het toestel door het met de handgreep aan de voorkant te duwen. De afzuigslang mag nooit gebruikt
worden om het toestel te trekken.
• Maak zeker dat de wielen geblokkeerd zijn alvorens het toestel te gebruiken of de afzuigslang te bewegen.
4.3 De afzuigslang assembleren
1. Til en plaats de basis van de slang op het montageoppervlak van het toestel. Steek de bevestigingen in de montagegaten,
zonder deze vast te draaien.
2. Draai vervolgens alle bevestigingen vast, om de basis aan het toestel stevig vast te maken. De slang is op dit ogenblik nog
niet volledig bevestigd, houd deze zodanig vast, dat ze niet op mensen of andere apparatuur niet valt.
3. Controleer dat de slang vrij kan bewegen. De slang moet op de basis vrij kunnen draaien. Het draaimoment op elke
verbinding is vooraf ingesteld om de slang over het gehele bewegingsbereik op zijn plaats te houden. De beweging van
de slang kan volgens de eisen van uw werkproces aangepast worden.
4.4 Elektrische aansluiting
GEVAAR!
Alle elektrische werken moeten door een gekwaliceerde elektricien uitgevoerd worden en in overeenstemming met
de plaatselijke elektriciteitsregel. Schakel de stroomtoevoer uit voor de installatie of het onderhoud van elektrische
componenten.
De rookafzuiger vereist een stroomvoeding van 400 Volt AC, 50 Hz.
5 Bediening
5.1 Schakelaar
De rookafzuiger heeft een hoofdschakelaar, die de werking van de ventilator controleert. De hoofdschakelaar bevindt zich op
het bedieningspaneel (zie guur 1).
6 Onderhoud
• Schakel de stroomtoevoer voor het onderhoud uit.
• Draag geschikte werkkledij.
• De verzamelde verontreinigingen kunnen gevaarlijk zijn. Raadpleeg de bevoegde autoriteiten voor de hantering en
verwijdering ervan.
• De verwijdering van de verzamelde verontreinigingen moet in overeenstemming met de plaatselijke en landelijke
regelgeving en volgens de eisen van de bevoegde autoriteiten.

6.1 Het lter vervangen
• De lters vervangen kan u aan gevaarlijke verontreinigingen blootstellen. Neem alle nodige voorzorgmaatregelen en draag
beschermingen zoals een veiligheidsbril en handschoenen.
• Volg alle veiligheids- en milieuregels voor het verwijderen van verontreinigingen.
• Vonkenvanger lter: 9 - 18 maanden
• PFTE lter: 6 - 12 maanden
• Actieve koollter: 9 - 18 maanden
7.0 USER SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS
• Disconnect electrical power prior to servicing equipment. �
• Wear appropriate protective clothing. �
• Collected particulate may be hazardous. Consult proper authorities for handling and disposal. �
• Disposal of collected particulate must be according to federal, state and local regulations and all appropriate
authorities. �

clothing such as eye protection and gloves. �

1.1 Consigne de sécurité

2 Description
L’aspirateur de fumée est conçu pour offrir une ltration très efcace de la fumée dégagée pendant le soudage. Les
contaminants sont capturés à la source par le tuyau d’aspiration, et de l’air propre est ensuite renvoyé vers l’espace de travail.
La gure 1 illustre le fonctionnement de base et identie les éléments de commande du système.
Quand la baisse de pression est constante, ou que le débit d’air n’est plus sufsant pour capturer la fumée, le ltre doit être
remplacé.

4 Installation
L’aspirateur de fumée est une système portable qui peut être conguré avec de nombreux accessoires pour satisfaire aux
exigences de diverses application. Consultez le chapitre concerné lors de l’installation de votre système.
4.1 Déballage et inspection de l’appareil
Dès réception de votre appareil, effectuez un contrôle visuel pour voir s’il n’a pas subi de dommages pendant le transport. Un
carton endommagé peut signier que l’appareil a subi une manipulation brutale pendant le transport, qui peut avoir causé
des dommages internes pouvant empêcher le fonctionnement normal de votre système. En cas de dommages, signalez-le et
introduisez une plainte auprès du transporteur.
Il est recommandé de laisser l’appareil xé sur la palette si vous utilisez un engin de levage ou de transport pour l’amener sur
le lieu d’installation. Il est déconseillé de transporter l’aspirateur avec un élévateur à fourche une fois qu’il n’est plus xé sur la
palette.

4.2 Sécurité lors de l’installation
Cet aspirateur de fumée est composé d’un tuyau d’aspiration et d’un aspirateur mobile sur roues, et doit être assemblé avant
son utilisation. Lisez les consignes de sécurité suivantes avant d’installer et d’utiliser l’aspirateur de fumée.
AVERTISSEMENT !
• Le système ne peut pas être branché ni utilisé tant que le tuyau d’aspiration n’a pas été installé correctement.
• Ne placez pas l’appareil sur une surface inclinée ou dans un endroit où il pourrait basculer.
• Effectuez un entretien régulier de l’appareil comme le nettoyage, le remplacement du ltre et l’élimination des
contaminants.
• Déplacez l’appareil en le poussant avec la poignée située à l’avant. Le tuyau d’aspiration ne peut jamais être utilisé
pour tirer l’appareil.
• Assurez-vous que les roues avant sont bloquées avant d’utiliser l’appareil ou de bouger le tuyau d’aspiration.
4.3 Assemblage du tuyau d’aspiration
1. Soulevez et placez la base du tuyau sur la surface de montage de l’appareil. Insérez les attaches dans les trous de
montage, sans serrer.
2. Serrez ensuite toutes les attaches pour bien xer la base à l’appareil. Le tuyau n’est pas encore complètement xé,
continuez à le maintenir pour qu’il ne tombe pas sur des personnes ou sur les autres équipements dans l’atelier.
3. Vériez si le tuyau bouge correctement. Le tuyau doit pouvoir tourner librement sur la base. Le couple de serrage à chaque
articulation est préréglé pour maintenir le tuyau en position sur toute l’amplitude du mouvement. Le mouvement du tuyau
peut être ajusté au besoin pour mieux s’adapter à votre processus de travail.
4.4 Branchement électrique
DANGER !
Tous les travaux électriques doivent être effectués par un électricien spécialisé et conformément aux réglementations
locales en matière d’électricité. Coupez l’alimentation électrique avant d’installer ou d’effectuer l’entretien de tout
composant électrique.
L’aspirateur de fumée nécessite une alimentation électrique de 230 Volts AC, 50 Hz.
5 Utilisation
5.1 Interrupteur
L’aspirateur de fumée a un interrupteur principal qui commande le fonctionnement du ventilateur. L’interrupteur principal se
trouve sur le panneau de commande (voir gure 1).
6 Entretien
• Coupez l’alimentation électrique avant de commencer l’entretien.
• Portez des vêtements de travail adaptés.
• Les contaminants collectés peuvent être dangereux. Consultez les autorités compétentes pour leur manipulation et leur
élimination.
• L’élimination des contaminants doit se faire conformément aux réglementations locales et nationales et aux exigences de
toutes les autorités compétentes.

1 Safety

1.1 Safety instructions

prevent power from being switched on accidentally.

2 Description
The fume extractor is designed to provide high efciency ltration of fume generated during welding processes. Contaminants
are captured at the source through the extraction arm hood, clean air is then recirculated back to the working area. Figure 1
illustrates the basic operation and identies the key components of the system.
When the pressure drop remains consistently, or the generated airow can no longer suitable capture the weld fume, the lter
should be replaced.

4 Installation
The fume extractor is portable system that can be congured with multiple accessories to serve various application requirements.
Please refer to the proper section when installing your system.
4.1 Equipment off loading and inspection
Upon receipt of your unit, visually inspect for any shipping damage. A damaged carton indicates that the equipment may have
received rough handling during shipping that may have caused internal damage which could cause your system to not function
properly. Notify your delivery carrier and enter a claim if any damage is found.
It is recommended to leave the unit secured to the shipping skid if the use of a skid loader or fork truck is required to deliver the
unit to the point of delivery or installation. It is not recommended to pick the fume extractor up with a fork truck after it has been
removed from the skid.
2.1 DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

4.2 Installation safety
This fume extractor consists of an extraction arm and mobile fume extractor on casters and requires some assembly before
operation. Please review and consider the following safety information prior to installing and operating the fume extractor.
WARNING!
• The system should not be powered or operated without the extraction arm properly installed on the system.
• Do not place the system on a sloped surface or in an area where the unit will be prone to tipping.
• Consideration should be given to routine product maintenance, such as cleaning, lter replacement and contaminant
disposal.
• The system should be moved using the push bar located on the front of the unit. the extraction arm should not be
used to pull or drag the unit.
• Make sure that the front casters are in the locked position prior to operating the system or moving the extraction arm.
4.3 Extraction arm assembly
1. Lift and set arm base assembly onto mounting surface of unit. Install hardware into half of the mounting holes. do not
completely tighten at this point.
2. Install hardware and tighten all of the hardware to secure the base onto the unit. The arm is not fully supported at this point
so ensure to continue to support arm such that it does not fall onto personnel or equipment in the area.
3. At this point check the arm for proper motion. The arm should rotate on the base freely. The torques at each joint are preset
to hold the arm in position throughout the full range of motion. The arm movement can be adjusted as necessary to better t
your process.
4.4 Electrical installation
DANGER!
All electrical work should be performed by a qualied electrician in accordance with local electrical codes. Disconnect
electrical power before installing or servicing any electrical component.
The fume extractor require a power supply connection of 400 Volt AC, 50 Hz.
5 Operation
5.1 Power switch
Each fume extractor has a main power switch that controls the operation of the system blower. The main power switch is located
on the control box (see gure 1).
6 User servicing instructions
• Disconnect electrical power prior to servicing equipment.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing.
• Collected particulate may be hazardous. Consult proper authorities for handling and disposal.
• Disposal of collected particulate must be according to federal, state and local regulations and all appropriate authorities.

6.1 Filter replacement
• Removing the lters may expose you to hazardous contaminants. Take all necessary precautions including protective
clothing such as eye protection and gloves.
• Follow all local safety and environmental codes in disposal of the accumulated particulate.
• Sparkproof lter: 9 - 18 months
• PFTE lter: 6 - 12 months
• Charcoal lter: 9 - 18 months
