INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing our products. We kindly ask you to read carefully
these instructions regarding the correct way of installing, using and
maintaining the products.
This MANUAL, which is an integral and essential part of the product, should
be delivered by the installer to the user. The user must keep it for any further
consultation.
The same manual must accompany the device in case it is sold or
transported.
The installation must be based on current European and local standards and
in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions included in this manual.
Incorrect installation may lead to injury of both human and animal or damage
objects for which the manufacturer is not responsible.
Damages caused by incorrect installation & use, transforms or repairs by
unauthorized personnel or the use of non original spare parts as well as
damages resulting from non-compliance with the manufacturer's instructions
exclude the manufacturer of any civil or criminal liability.

It is the installer's responsibility to carry out the
installation, to do the relevant control of the flue,
to check the air intake duct and the correct
placement of the device according to the
applicable regulations.

1.0 General instructions for safety during installation
During burner’s installation, all the regulations concerning the exhaust gases
evacuation via flue must be followed.
Please be aware that the installation and testing of the device must be
carried out exclusively by qualified personnel/technician in order to ensure
that the product is properly installed.
In addition, the flue performance should be checked both before and during
combustion.
During the installation of the device, all applicable regulations must
be followed including those covered by European regulations
Otherwise the burner is not covered by the warranty.
Warning!
The burner MUST NOT be installed by the user on its own.
The following must be respected and followed:
• Regular maintenance of the device and installation must be carried out
once a year by authorized technicians. Otherwise, the warranty is forfeited
for the entire period the device was covered with.
• As the burner consumes air for combustion, an air suction should be
provided inside the device’s installation area.
• After an error or a cleaning process or a power outage, when ignition is
going to take place, before the ignition make sure that the burner pot is
placed correctly and it has not been filled with ash residues or pellet. Also

make sure that the connection to electricity network has been done
correctly. The door of the stove should be closed and secured during the
operation.
• If the ignition is faulty, do not repeat the process if you do not remove the
accumulated pellet from the burner pot first.
• Remember to move away from the chimney the room sensor located at the
back of your boiler.
• During initial ignition, malodor may escape due to overheating of the
painted parts. It is recommended not to remain in the place where the device
is installed and to ventilate the space.
• Ensure that the exhaust pipe is not blocked. The regular maintenance of the
boiler is obligatory.
• Before installation, it is necessary to ensure that the surface on which the
boiler is placed can withstand the weight.
• Place a floor protector as a support base for the boiler, especially if it is a
floor of flammable material (such as parquet or carpet). The support base
should protrude from the boiler at least 25-30 cm.
• It is recommended to have a distance of at least 25 cm between the sides
of the boiler and from flammable materials such as wallpaper, etc. The same
attention should be paid to materials sensitive to heat such as furniture,
sofas, curtains and other decorative elements. Do not place the appliance in
tight spaces (built-in) or in such a way that blocks proper air circulation.
Follow the National safety rules of your country.
•The lack of traction in the chimney system and the obstruction or the
interruptions of the air intake, affect negatively the operation of the burner.
Because of the ignition’s delay, an incorrect order is given to supply a larger
quantity of pellet. Excessive smoke in the combustion chamber may cause
automatic ignition of the existing gases. In such cases, it is recommended
that you never open the stove door.
• Do not use flammable liquids for the ignition.

• Do not let children near the burner when it is on. There is a risk of serious
burns.
• Do not interfere with the burner. Only procedures related to its normal use
or procedures recommended in this manual are allowed. Always unplug the
burner from the electrical grid before attempting any interference with it. If
you have to remove a foreign body that has been pinched, remember that
you must first disconnect the burner from the electrical grid by unplugging
the socket.
• The automatic firing phase of the burner is the most complex phase. In
order to avoid any problems, it is advisable to keep the pot always clean.
•For the proper operation of the burner, only 6 mm diameter wood pellets
of certified quality should be used.
• The features mentioned in this manual may vary depending on the
installation conditions and the pellet that it is used.
• Avoid drying the clothes by touching them on top of the burner.
• Do not dry the clothes by placing them in front of the burner in less than 2
(two) meters distance.
• Do not use combustibles other than those specified above.

2 Electricity network connection
Grounded plug is needed in order to connect the burner to the 220 V.
But first you need to make sure the voltage is the correct one for the specific
device.
To avoid short circuits, make sure that the power cord does not come in
contact with hot parts of the burner or the boiler and is not crushed at any
point.
Be sure to disconnect the burner from the mains before carrying out any
maintenance and / or checking.

2.1 Flue connection
The flue connection process must follow the regulations and the certification.
The flue connection is an important process which affects the stove’s
operation and function. That is why it must be performed only by authorized
personnel.
The installations that do not comply with the regulations and that are
performed by unauthorized personnel result in guarantee’s cancelation.
Before the installation, you should make sure that the internal cross-section
and the height of the flue pipe are correct.
Make sure the flue pipe is not clogged or that it is not installed incorrectly.
Where there are flue pipe connections no reduction of the
diameter in relation with the stove’s outlet is allowed. No use of reduction
fittings is allowed.
To ensure proper operation, avoid placing horizontal sections as they can be
filled with ash and this result in the reduction of the diameter
Large number of curves should be neither placed. The overall connection of
the curves should be made in a stable manner so as to ensure maximum
safety and minimum load losses.
Do not open the door of the boiler when it is on or
when it is in the process of closing.
Do not touch the device when it is on. Serious burns can
be caused.
When the exhaust path is higher than 10m and works under reduced traction
conditions (presence of a large number of curves, long horizontal sections,
unsuitable discharge terminals, etc.) extraction of the exhaust gas may not be
optimal.

Since the device can work with a low exhaust gas outlet (below 120 °C) the
chimney must be insulated. It is also required condensate discharge tee.
When installing horizontal chimney sections, we ensure that there is a slight
inclination of about 5° to the condensate discharge tee.

2.2 Suction pipe installation
The burner takes from the environment the necessary air for the combustion.
This air should be replaced by the appropriate air intake holes, which must be
protected by grills, as stated in UNI 10683.
Periodic checks should be performed to ensure that the air openings are not
clogged.
Do not connect more than one burner or fireplace in the same
chimney. In any case ask your Engineer.
We would like to remind you that it is necessary to:
• Have an appropriate air intake opening
• The horizontal sections should have an inclination > 5°and length <2 m
• The vertical section must be > 2.5 m high
• The flue (connection with the exhaust gas outlet) must be accessible
• It is recommended to seal the flue connection and the exhaust outlet with
glue or other sealing with high temperature resistance.
• It is advisable to have a condensate discharge pipe and an ash collector.

3.0 Fuel’s technical characteristics
Pellet is a product made of various types of compressed wood. The
mechanical process of pellet production complies with the environmental
protection regulations.
Various types of wood can be used for the production of pellet as wood
residues or by-products, agricultural crop residues etc.
This manual refers to devices that operate efficiently and without problems
by using only wood pellets. Maximum performance and minimal
maintenance is obtained.
The efficiency and thermal capacity of the stove varies depending on the type
and quality of the pellet.
For better operation, it is recommended to use pellet with the following
characteristics:
Diameter ≈ 6 mm
Length ≈ 30mm
Maximum moisture content
8 –9%
Do not use the stove’s flame to ignite eg cigarettes, candles,
etc.
It is forbidden to use a flexible chimney, mainly aluminum
chimney. There is a risk of fire.
Pellet should be stored in a dry environment and not very cold.
Pellet should be stored in places where temperature and humidity values are
acceptable.
Cold pellet (<5 °C) reduces the thermal capacity of the fuel and requires
better maintenance/cleaning in the pot and in the entire combustion
chamber.

Beware of the indoor installation of air or water devices in
places that are not efficiently ventilated and we have not taken
care of fresh air intake (risk of malfunctions and fumes).
Beware of possible malfunction of the device and exhaust gas
recirculation due to the simultaneous operation of strong
absorbers in WC and kitchens.
For the measurements it has been used pellet of 6 mm diameter, 5 kW and
8% moisture content.

4.0 Control Panel

The display panel 16x2 is a control panel (Figure 2) intended for controlling
pellet or biomass feeded furnaces or boilers, integrating a temperature
sensor and a RTC used to turn on or off the controlled heater at preset hours;
an IR remote control may be supplied separately.
The panel is equipped with an on/off button with the corresponding I/O icon
and 4 white circled keys whose function descriptions appear on the display,
close to each of them.

4.1 System start up
When starting up, the display shows a "wait" screen; during this time
the producer's logo appears on the second line while on the first line the
current room temperature and time will be shown. This screen is shown in

Every 4s the screen (see Σφάλμα! Το αρχείο προέλευσης της αναφοράς
δεν βρέθηκε.) alternates with a second screen where the controlled heater
type currently stored in the main board is shown on the bottom line (see
Σφάλμα! Το αρχείο προέλευσης της αναφοράς δεν βρέθηκε.).

When these two screens are alternatively displayed the backlighting is
maintained to the maximum, while pressing any key will have no effect.
After about 12s the “START” screen appears (see Σφάλμα! Το αρχείο
προέλευσης της αναφοράς δεν βρέθηκε.); this means that the system
is ready.

On the top line the current room temperature (resolution 0,5°C) and the
time are shown; if the controlled heater is a water boiler, the room
temperature and the water temperature will alternate on the display (5s
the room temperature and 2s the water temperature) (see Σφάλμα! Το

the system alternates every 2s the text strings describing the controlled
heater current status, the active functions (Σφάλμα! Το αρχείο

For all the screens which will be described below, the display backlighting will
be maintained to the maximum; if no key is pressed for 10s the display will
then revert to the START screen (see Picture 5); after reverting to this screen
the display backlighting will be dimmed (after 30s) and, after other 20s, the
backlighting will be turned off. Exceptions to this rule are outlined in the
corresponding screen descriptions.
When the display backlighting is off, when any key is pressed it turns back on,
and the SELECTION screen appears (Figure 7.1); this screen is described in
paragraph 5.2.
Heater firing up/shutting down
Firing (or shutting-down) the controlled heater is accomplished by pressing
the ON/OFF key (key #5) from within the START screen; the panel will beep
and the displayed status will be updated.
4.2 Quick access functions
By pressing one of the 4 side buttons from within the START screen changes
the display to the SELECTION screen (see Picture 7), where the "quick access
functions" may be set.

As shown in the picture, the main function descriptions appear close to the 4
buttons.
•The mode key toggles the maximum operating state power.
•The advanced functions may be selected by pressing the Menu key
•The Temp/Fire #2 key is disabled.
•The display reverts back to the START screen by pressing the On/Off
key.
If the controller is in auto mode and Thermostat is a set ON, the requested
temperature will be replaced by the string “Term:”, followed by the device
status (“C” = Closed(contact), “O” = Open(contact)), because when the
controlled heater is in auto mode its operation is not controlled by the
room temperature, but by the external room thermostat.
If the controlled heater has no blowing fan, the string on the display won't
appear, and the corresponding key will be disabled.

The mode button allows you to cyclically change the operation of the
stove, from manual (MANU) to automatic (AUTO), unless ECO mode is
selected from the Menu (see Settings).In case of the Thermostat(external) is
ON ; the mode button allows to set the Maximum level power that the
boiler will reaches.
