GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Thank you for purchasing a NEXT Audiocom FLEXi System.
This user manual will provide you with useful and important
information about your equipment. Please devote some time
reading it and keep it at hand for future reference.
The NEXT Audiocom FLEXi Series is composed by one 15"
subwoofer and two 8" satellites designed for installations and
portable solutions. The premium-quality components provide a
balanced sound with an excellent low frequency extension. This
system can be an ideal solution for hotels, restaurants, bars,
lounges, conference rooms and many others.
ATTENTION! Because of the continuous evolution of
techniques and standards, NEXT Audiocom reserves the right
to change the specifications of its products without warning.

UNPACKING
NEXT Audiocom’s products are built under strict quality
guidelines and supervision, according to the highest standards.
When unpacking your product, carefully examine it for any
signs of possible transit damage and inform your dealer
immediately if any such damage has occurred. It is suggested
that you retain the original packaging so that the product can be
repacked in the future when necessary. Please note that NEXT
Audiocom and its authorized distributors cannot accept any
responsibility for damage to any returned product using
non-approved packaging.

structure where the stack will take place is even and can
withstand the weight
• Never install close to ignition or heat sources such as
radiators, ovens or any other apparatus that produce heat
• Do not use or install the equipment near water or exposed to
rain
• If the equipment is not functioning properly or has been
damaged in any way, switch it off immediately
• Do not open or try to service the equipment. It may only be
repaired by authorized, qualified personnel
• Clean the equipment using only a clean dry cloth
• Do not operate the unit for an extended period with the
sound distorting
WARNINGS
INTRODUCTION
CAUTION:
Never remove the cover, because otherwise there may be a
risk of electric shock. There are no user serviceable parts
inside. Have repairs carried out only by qualified service
personnel.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral
triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure
that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of
electrical shock.
The exclamation mark within an equilateral triangle is intended
to alert the user to the presence of important operating and
maintenance instructions.
CAUTION:
This equipment is intended for professional use. Therefore,
commercial use of this equipment is subject to the respectively
applicable national accident prevention rules and regulations.
As a manufacturer, NEXT Audiocom is obligated to notify you
formally about the existence of potential health risks. Hearing
damage due to high volume and prolonged exposure: When in
use, this product is capable of producing high sound-pressure
levels (SPL) that can lead to irreversible hearing damage in
performers, employees, and audience members.
For this reason, avoid prolonged exposure to volumes in
excess of 90dB.

CONNECTIONS
The NEXT Audiocom FLEXi 15 satellite speakers have a
nominal impedance of 4Ω. Use two speaker cables with
Neutrik NL4 connectors to link the subwoofer to the satellite
speakers (dashed line). Both ends of the cable must be
connected to 1+/1-.
Connect the desired audio source to the subwoofer using a
TRS Jack or XLR connector (bold line). In mono operatio, use
only the LEFT signal input and select MONO on "Input Type".
Expand your sound system linking two or more FLEXi 15.
Connect both systems using a XLR cable (solid line).

PRESETS AND FUNCTIONALITIES
Adjust the system preset according to your needs using the
"Preset Selection" rotary encoder.
FLAT INDOOR - System's Flat Response on Indoor Events -
use this preset in live performances for clarity of voice and
instruments.
FLAT OUTDOOR - System's Flat Response on Outdoor
Events - use this preset in live performances for clarity of voice
and instruments.
MUSIC - System’s EQ for Music Reproduction - use this preset
for recorded music playback applications.
DJ - System’s EQ for DJ Events - use this preset for electronic
dance music applications.
VOCAL - System’s EQ for Speech - use this preset for speech
or mainly vocal applications.
Use the "Subwoofer Phase" switch to reverse, or not, the
polarity of the subwoofer. This can be useful when there is no
summation between satellite speakers and subwoofer due to
positioning. Try to reverse the polarity to check wether you get
the better results.
ATTENTION!
By default, the system comes ready to operate at 230V. If you
need to operate at 115V, always remember to change the
voltage switch to 115V and replace the mains fuse by the one
supplied with the equipment (T12A/250V) - all the procedures
must be done with the system disconnected from the power.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem: No sound coming from the satellite speaker
Action to Solution:
- Check volume levels on the subwoofer amplifier, signal
sources and the connections between them. Check if the signal
led is reacting to the signal source. If everything seems to be ok,
connect another speaker known to be working to the
subwoofer. If it works, the wiring to the satellite speakers may
have problems, or the satellite speakers are damaged.
- Check that you have the correct pair of wires connected to
the speakers you are trying to work with. Look for signs of
damage if possible and check that the wires are correctly
mounted on the connector and the connecter is correctly
inserted on the speaker.
Problem: Little to no bass
Action to Solution:
- This happens most of the times when two or more speakers
near each other, are wired out of polarity. In this case low
frequencies will cancel each other acoustically. Check that the
“+” on the subwoofer amplifier, is connected to the NL4's 1+
and the “-“ marked on the subwoofer amplifier is connected to
the NL4's 1-.
Problem: Buzzing, hissing or humming
Action to Solution:
- If there is noise and no program material is playing, check your
entire signal chain for the bad component. It can also be a
matter of poor grounding or a ground loop. Check and correct
the system grounding.
Problem: Sound is distorting with PEAK led OFF
Action to Solution:
- Reduce the level from the audio source, such as the mixer,
increase the level on the input potentiometer.
Problem: Sound is distorting with PEAK led mostly ON
Action to Solution:
- Reduce the MAIN LEVEL on the subwoofer amplifier.
Problem: Weak high frequency response at listening point
Action to Solution:
- Probably the room is too absorbent or you are listening from
a long distance. To increase the HF frequency response, select
the FLAT OUTDOOR preset.
Problem: Poor low frequency connection between SUB+SAT
Action to Solution:
- Probably subwoofer and satellite speakers are out of phase.
Invert the subwoofer phase using the "Subwoofer Phase"
switch.
Problem: The subwoofer amplifier doesn't turn on
Action to Solution:
- Check if the voltage selector is on the desired voltage position
and the adequate fuse is in place. Check the fuse status, if the
fuse is blown, replace it.

WARRANTY POLICY
NEXT Audiocom products are warranted, by NEXT
Audiocom, against manufacturing defects in materials
or craftsmanship over a period of 2 years counting from
the date of original purchase for final costumer. The
original receipt of purchase is mandatory for warranty
validation purposes, and the product must have been
bought from a NEXT Audiocom authorized dealer. The
warranty can be transferred to a subsequent owner
during the warranty period, however, this cannot
extend the warranty period beyond the original
warranty period of two years from the original date of
purchase stated on the NEXT Audiocom’s invoice.
During the warranty period NEXT Audiocom will, at its
own discretion, either repair or replace a product
which prove to be defective provided that the product
is returned in its original packaging, shipping prepaid, to
an authorized NEXT Audiocom service agent or
distributor. NEXT Audiocom cannot be held
responsible for defects caused by unauthorized
modifications, improper use, negligence, exposure to
inclement weather conditions, act of God or accident,
or any use of this product that is not in accordance with
the instructions provided by this manual and/or NEXT
Audiocom. NEXT Audiocom is not liable for
consequential damages. This warranty is exclusive, and
no other warranty is expressed or implied. This
warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
CORRECT DISPOSAL
When the speakers are to be definitively discarded,
take the product to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment. This
equipment should not be treated as general household
waste.
Devices marked with this symbol must not be disposed
of as household waste. For more information, please
contact your retailer or local authorities.

CUIDADO:
Nunca remova a tampa, caso contrário pode haver risco de
choque elétrico. Não existem peças reparáveis no interior. As
reparações devem ser efectuadas apenas por pessoal de
assistência qualicado.
O símbolo de relâmpago com ponta de seta dentro de um
triângulo equilátero destina-se a alertar o utilizador para a
presença de “tensão perigosa” não isolada dentro da coluna
do produto que pode ser de magnitude suciente para
constituir risco de choque elétrico.
O ponto de exclamação dentro de um triângulo equilátero
destina-se a alertar o usuário sobre a presença de instruções
importantes de operação e manutenção.
CUIDADO:
Este equipamento destina-se a uso prossional. Portanto, o
uso comercial deste equipamento está sujeito às regras e
regulamentos nacionais de prevenção de acidentes
aplicáveis, respectivamente. Como fabricante, a NEXT
Audiocom é obrigada a noticá-lo formalmente sobre a
existência de possíveis riscos à saúde. Danos auditivos devido
a alto volume e exposição prolongada: Quando em uso, este
produto é capaz de produzir altos níveis de pressão sonora
(SPL) que podem causar danos irreversíveis à audição em
artistas, funcionários e membros da plateia.
Por esta razão, evite a exposição prolongada a volumes
superiores a 90dB.

LIGAÇÕES
As colunas satélites FLEXi 15 têm uma impedância nominal de
4Ω. Use dois cabos de coluna com conectores Neutrik NL4
para conectar o subwoofer às colunas satélite (linha tracejada).
Ambas as extremidades do cabo devem ser conectadas a 1+/1-.
Conecte a fonte de áudio desejada ao subwoofer usando um
conector TRS ou (linha em negrito). Em mono, use apenas a
entrada de sinal LEFT e selecione MONO no botão "Input
Type". Expanda o seu sistema de som conectando dois ou mais
FLEXi 15. Conecte os dois sistemas usando um cabo XLR (linha
sólida).

PRESETS E FUNCIONALIDADES
Ajuste o preset do sistema de acordo com as suas necessidades
usando o encoder rotativo "Preset Selection".
FLAT INDOOR - Resposta flat do sistema em eventos de
interior - use este preset em concertos ao vivo para clareza de
voz e instrumentos.
FLAT OUTDOOR - Resposta flat do sistema em eventos ao ar
livre - use este preset em concertos ao vivo para clareza de voz
e instrumentos.
MUSIC - Equalização do sistema para reprodução de música -
use este preset para reprodução de música gravada.
DJ - Equalização do sistema para eventos de DJ - use este
preset em eventos de música eletrónica.
VOCAL - Equalização do sistema para discurso - use este
preset para discurso ou para conteúdos principalmente vocais.
Use o botão "Subwoofer Phase" para inverter ou não a
polaridade do subwoofer. Isso pode ser útil quando não há
somatório entre as colunas satélite e o subwoofer devido ao
seu posicionamento. Tente inverter a polaridade para verificar
se obtém melhores resultados.
ATENÇÃO!
Por defeito, o sistema vem pronto para operar a 230V. Se
precisar operar a 115V, lembre-se sempre de trocar o seletor
de tensão para 115V e substituir o fusível (T12A/250V) pelo
fornecido com o equipamento - todos os procedimentos
devem ser feitos com o sistema desconectado da energia.
RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS
Problema: Nenhum som vindo da coluna satélite
Ação para Solução:
- Verifique os níveis de volume no amplificador do subwoofer,
as fontes de sinal e as conexões entre eles. Verifique se o led de
sinal reage à fonte de sinal. Se tudo estiver ok, conecte outra
coluna conhecida por estar a funcionar ao subwoofer. Se
funcionar, os cabos das colunas satélite podem ter problemas
ou as colunas satélite estão danificadas.
- Verifique se tem o par correto de cabos conectado às colunas
com as quais está a tentar trabalhar. Procure por sinais de
danos, se possível, e verifique se os fios estão montados
corretamente no conector e se o conector está inserido
corretamente na coluna.
Problema: Pouco a nenhum grave
Ação para Solução:
- Isso acontece na maioria das vezes quando duas ou mais
colunas próximas uma da outra estão ligadas fora da fase. Neste
caso, as frequências baixas cancelar-se-ão acusticamente.
Verifique se o “+” no amplificador do subwoofer está
conectado ao 1+ da NL4 e o “-“ marcado no amplificador do
subwoofer está conectado ao 1- da NL4.
Problema: Zumbido ou assobio
Ação para Solução:
- Se houver ruído e nenhum material de programa estiver a
ser reproduzido, verifique toda a cadeia de sinal quanto ao
componente defeituoso. Também pode ser uma questão de
mass levantada ou um loop de massa. Verifique e corrija a
massa do sistema.
Problema: O som está distorcido com o led PEAK Desligado
Ação para Solução:
- Reduza o nível da fonte de áudio, como a misturador,
aumente o nível no potenciómetro de entrada.
Problema: O som está distorcido com o led PEAK
maioritariamente Ligado
Ação para Solução:
- Reduza o MAIN LEVEL no amplificador do subwoofer.
Problema: Falta de agudos na área de escuta
Ação para Solução:
- Provavelmente a sala é muito absorvente ou está a ouvir a
uma longa distância. Para aumentar a resposta de frequências
agudas, selecione o preset FLAT OUTDOOR.
Problema: Pouca ligação de graves entre SUB+SAT
Ação para Solução:
- Provavelmente o subwoofer e as colunas satélite estão fora de
fase. Inverta a fase do subwoofer usando o interruptor
"Subwoofer Phase".
Problema: O amplificador do subwoofer não liga
Ação para Solução:
- Verifique se o seletor de tensão está na posição de tensão
desejada e se o fusível adequado está colocado. Verifique o
estado do fusível, se o fusível estiver queimado, substitua-o.

POLÍTICA DE GARANTIA
Os produtos NEXT Audiocom são garantidos, pela
NEXT Audiocom, contra defeitos de fabrico em
materiais ou execução durante um período de 2 anos a
contar a partir da data de compra original para
consumidor final. O recibo original de compra é
obrigatório para efeitos de validação da garantia, e o
produto deve ter sido comprado a um revendedor
autorizado NEXT Audiocom. A garantia pode ser
transferida para um proprietário subsequente durante
o período de garantia, no entanto, esta não pode
prolongar o período de garantia original de dois anos a
partir da data original de compra indicada na fatura.
Durante o período de garantia, a NEXT Audiocom
reparará ou substituirá um produto que se revele
defeituoso desde que o produto seja devolvido na sua
embalagem original, enviando pré-pago, a um agente ou
distribuidor autorizado NEXT Audiocom. A NEXT
Audiocom não pode ser responsabilizada por defeitos
causados por modificações não autorizadas, uso
impróprio, negligência, exposição a condições
meteorológicas inclementes, ato de Deus ou acidente,
ou qualquer utilização deste produto que não esteja de

DESCARTE DO PRODUTO
Quando as colunas forem descartadas definitivamente,
leve o produto a uma unidade de reciclagem local para
um descarte que não seja prejudicial ao meio ambiente.
Este equipamento não deve ser tratado como lixo
doméstico geral. Os dispositivos marcados com este
símbolo não devem ser descartados como lixo
doméstico. Para obter mais informações, entre em
