lock screw and then gently reposition the micro-
phone.

may pick up sounds made by

camera
or lens during recording.

ME-1
may pick

tioning the microphone during recording.

the wind screen

jects when damp.
• The built-in flash for some cameras may
not
fire
when the
ME-1
is
mounted on the accessory shoe.
If this occurs, remove the
ME
-1 before using the
built-in flash.

The
ME-1
features vibration reduction to reduce vi-
bration noise during autofocus, and a low-cutfilter
that reduces wind noise and other low-frequency
nOISe.

The Low-Cut Filter Switch
Select
FLAT
for normal
use,
L-CUT
to
reduce wind
noise and other low-frequency noise. Note that
noise may be recorded
if
the switch
is
operated
during recording.
Using the ME-1
1Attach the wind
screen
by placing the groove
in
the
screen
over the projection on the micro-
phone (Figure
1-a).

Slide
the mounting foot into the camera
acces-
sory shoe (Figure
1-b)
and tighten the lock ring
(Figure
1-c)
. Note that vibration reduction may
cause
the microphone
to
wobble
if
it
is
shaken
while attached to the camera.

Turn
the camera
off
and insert the
ME-l
stereo
mini-pin plug
(cp
3.5
mm) intothe camera exter-
nal
microphonejack (Figure
