A FEW MINUTES FOR YOUR SAFETY PREVENTION
Danger from electricity
This device uses a dangerous electrical voltage. Do not use it when the main
cable is defective or if the device has other visible damage. Never open the
casing, leave this to repairs specialists. Do not suck up red hot ashes, glowing
cigarette ends or matches, nor sharp objects, glass splinters, water or other
liquids. These can damage the vacuum cleaner and could put you in danger.
Red hot ashes, glowing cigarette ends etc. can set the lter on re. Dampness
can lead to short circuits. Sharp pointed objects damage the lter.
Danger!
Never expose the vacuum cleaner to the eects of the weather (rain, etc.).
Always unplug the vacuum before cleaning or servicing it
(e.g. removing the lter).
Important!
• Never pull the plug out of the socket by tugging the cable, but always grip
the plug body itself. Children are frequently unaware of the dangers of
electricity or underestimate these. For this reason children should never be
allowed to work with electrical devices.
• Despite the lter it is possible that a small quantity of dirt is present in the
vacuum cleaner exhaust air. This can be breathed in by children and result in
allergic reactions. For this reason, do not use vacuum, if possible, when
children are nearby.
• Never sit on or place things on the vacuum cleaner body.
• Only use the vacuum cleaner when a lter and a motor protection lter have
been tted. The lter must not be damaged!
• Before vacuum cleaning a shampooed carpet, wait until it is completely dry.
Never leave the vacuum cleaner close to a heater or an oven. If there is a
change of owner or user do not forget to pass on the operating manual.
In the event of damage to the device or for repairs, contact the customer service dept.:
1-800-727-7129 Faults resulting from improper use, failure to follow the instructions in
the operating manual, or from damage caused or repairs done by third parties are ruled
out under the guarantee. This also applies to the wear of component parts, e.g. the lter.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
DANGER!
Switch o the vacuum cleaner immediately if the air intake, the oor
brushes, or the tube become blocked. Before starting the vacuum cleaner
up again remove the object causing the blockage:
1. Never use the vacuum cleaner in the
immediate vicinity of hot objects and do not
suck up hot objects such as cigarette ends
or ashes.
2. Only place the plug in the socket when your
hands are dry.
3. Remove large or sharp objects from the oor
before using the vacuum cleaner to avoid any
possible damage to it.
4. Do not pull by the main cable when pulling out the plug;
grip plug to remove from outlet.
The vacuum cleaner is provided with a plug and an
electric cable. If the plug or the cable are damaged a
qualied electrician must be called to repair them.

Cleaning the Vacuum Cleaner
DANGER!
Never expose the vacuum cleaner to the eects of the weather
(rain, etc.). No parts may be washed in a dish washer. The casing,
dust collecting chamber, and lter chambers of the vacuum
cleaner can be wiped with a damp cloth if required. No liquid
must enter the vacuum cleaner in the process. Never use strong
cleaning substance (scouring liquids, thinners), since these will
corrode the plastic surface. Only place the plug back in the
socket when you have made sure that all the parts are
thoroughly dry. Hair and u may gather on the running wheels
and on the oor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner in time. You
should remove these to ensure that handling of the vacuum
cleaner is always easy.
DANGER!
Never try to repair a defective device, or a device you believe to
be defective, by yourself. You can put both yourself and future
users in danger. Repairs may only be carried out by
