TRUETECH®TECHNICAL BULLETIN:
Maintenance Instructions for the
TrueTech 1000, 2000 and 2000PowerCart
(REMEMBER, ALWAYS READ, UNDERSTAND AND COMPLY WITH THE LABEL.)
Tank Reservoir and Physical Components
The TrueTech 1000, 2000, and 2000 Power Cart
will perform best when cleaned after each use.
Rise container and flush clean water through the
unit components. Attach hose assembly to each
quick-connect to properly flush each quick-
connect spigot. Prior to each use and before
filling, visually inspect inside the reservoir tank
with particular attention paid to the bottom of the
tank. Remove all noticeable debris. When filling
the tank reservoir, properly mix chemicals
thoroughly before dispensing. Make sure the
solution in the tank reservoir is a single-phase
solution.
Moving Parts
The TrueTech equipment line incorporates
moving parts such as brass quick disconnects,
brass male plugs, telescoping handles, wheels,
hand pump(s), and air pressure release valve(s)
into the hardware. Dirt can build up unnoticed in
these moving parts. To keep them operating
smoothly and corrosion-free, spray these areas
with a penetrating lubricant after each use.
Inspect the hand pump plunger and seals before
each use. When removing the hand pump from
the tank, look at the bottom button seal, cap O-
ring, and cap threads. Small amounts of dirt in
these areas will affect performance. Spray to
clean with lubricant and wipe off with a rag.
Routine maintenance will facilitate better
operation and threading of the hand pump onto
the tank. Do not over-tighten the hand pump to
the tank – a snug fit is all that is required.
Monthly Maintenance Routine –
Two-Step Process:
1) Fill tank with 2 quarts of hot water and
connect hand pump. Shake tank to dislodge
any built-up debris. Do not spray through
system – pour out and dispose of properly.
2) Fill tank with 2 quarts of hot water and
connect all components for use. Pressurize
tank reservoir and dispense hot water.
Connect hose assembly to each quick-
connect spigot and repeat the dispensing
process.
Three-Month Full Maintenance
A full maintenance procedure on the TrueTech
machinery is recommended every three months.
In addition, this procedure might be necessary if
performance issues persist after basic cleaning.
Disassemble all parts for inspection and
cleaning. Clean springs located in the brass
connectors, trigger handgun, and output spigots.
Scrubbing with a toothbrush and isopropyl
alcohol will remove grime around quick-connects
and springs. After cleaning, backflush each
quick-connect spigot (see instructions on
reverse side). Rinse the tank reservoir, remove
debris, and reassemble. Check the system for
full liquid flow rate. The dry and wet foam
outputs will sputter when only water is in the
tank reservoir – this is normal. Replace defective
parts where needed.
