
Programming Your Receiver
Tuning to Your Local Transmitter:
1) Hold down the “PROG” button for 2 seconds (until it beeps).
2) Press the right arrow until you see menu page P2 and press “ENTER.”
3) The radio will begin broadcasting. Press the left or right arrows until the desired
channel and is displayed and you hear the broadcast of the transmitter.
4) Press “ENTER.”
5) Press “PROG” to close menus.
Entering your County Code:
1) Hold down the “PROG” button for 2 seconds (until it beeps).
2) Press the right arrow until you see menu P3 and press “ENTER.”
3) Press the arrows until “SINGLE COUNTY” is flashing in the display, then press
“ENTER.”
4) “COUNTY 01” is displayed, and you must enter your county code below in the 6
blanks.
5) The 6-digit code you need to enter is SAME CODE. Press the “+” or “-” arrows
to select the number to change and press the right arrow to move to the next space
to enter the next number.
6) Once the desired number is selected, press “ENTER” to store your county code,
and press “PROG” to close the menu mode and return to the clock.
Emergency Alert Tests
Every Wednesday, between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, the National Weather Service
conducts a test of the emergency alert system. During the test, your radio will scroll test
message information and the advisory light will turn on. If the test does not take place
because of severe weather or another emergency in the area, then the test will be done on
the next available non-severe or non-emergency day at the same time.
If your radio did not scroll alert information or the advisory light did not turn on, please

Additional Information
In addition to life saving alerts on the radio, such things as local forecasts, the 8-14 day
outlook, and current conditions are also available on the radio 24 hours a day by pressing
“WEATHER/SNOOZE”.
