GENERAL INFORMATION
Safety
Read this manual carefully and understand the contents before
working on the refrigerator.
It is not possible to anticipate all of the conceivable ways or
conditions under which the refrigerator may be serviced or
to provide cautions as to all of the possible hazards that may
result. Standard and accepted safety precautions and equip-
ment should be used when working on electrical circuits and
handling toxic or flammable materials. Safety goggles and
other required protection should be used as necessary. Read
all Notes, Cautions, and Warnings carefully and apply your
professional expertise when servicing these units!
Be aware of possible safety hazards when you see the safety
alert symbol on the refrigerator and in this manual. A signal
word follows the safety alert symbol and identifies the danger
of the hazard. Carefully read the descriptions of these signal
words to fully know their meanings. They are for your safety.
This signal word means a hazard,
which if ignored, can cause dnager-
ous personal injury, death.
This signal word means a hazard,
which if ignored, can cause small
personal injury or much property
damage.
The storage of flammable materi-
als behind or around the refrigerator
creates a fire hazard. Do not use
the area behind the refrigerator to
store anything, especially flammable
materials (gasoline, cleaning supplies,
etc.).
A circuit overload can result in an
electrical fire if the wires and/or fuses
are not the correct size. Use only the
wire and fuse sizes as written in the

Incorrect installation, adjustment,
change to, or maintenance of this
refrigerator can cause personal injury,
property damage, or both. Have
service and maintenance work done
by your dealer or by an authorized
Norcold Service Center.
Disconnect the AC and DC power
sources before doing any mainte-
nance work on the refrigerator.
Do not bypass or change the refrig-
erator’s electrical components or
features.
Do not spray liquids near electrical
outlets, connections, or the refrigera-
tor components. Many liquids are
electrically conductive and can cause
a shock hazard, electrical shorts, and
in some cases fire.
Do not touch the evaporator or other
metal parts inside the refrigerator
cabinet with wet hands because they
can freeze to the refrigerator.
The rear of the refrigerator has sharp
edges and corners. To prevent cuts
or abrasions when working on the
refrigerator, be careful and wear cut
resistant gloves.
Do not remove the round ground
prong from any of the AC power
cords. Do not use a two prong
adapter or an extension cord with any
of the AC power cords.
When you discard an appliance, re-
move all doors to prevent accidental
entrapment and suffocation.
At regular intervals, make sure that
the refrigerator flue, burner, vent
areas, and the air pathway between
the vents is completely free from any
flammable material or blockage. After
a period of storage, it is especially
important to check these areas for
any flammable material or blockage
caused by animals and insects.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Diagnostic Pre-checks
Before performing detailed diagnostics inspect for the
following:
1. Make sure power switch / thermostat is not in the OFF
position.
2. Make sure door is closed and sealing correctly.
3. Make sure that refrigerator is correctly installed and that
the vents are not blocked.
4. Make sure vehicle fuse or circuit breaker is intact.
5. Make sure ambient temperature is not unusually high
(more than 110° F. / 43° C.).
6. Make sure air circulation inside the refrigerator is not
decreased by foods or by shelves covered with plastic,
paper, etc.
7. Make sure cooling fan is connected at the rear of the
refrigerator.
8. Make sure freezer is defrosted.
• If refrigerator does not operate after completing pre-
checks listed above, follow the procedures outlined in
the "Control Panel Error Codes" section.
• If no error codes are found refer to “Troubleshooting
Symptom Chart” section.

Look at the color of gas flame. If the flame is yellow, flickering or changing
shape, repair - refer to "Clean / Replace
Burner and Orifice" procedures.
Verify that the area at the rear
of the refrigerator is free of any
combustible materials, gasoline,
and other flammable vapors and
liquids. DANGER of fire or explosion! Immedi-
ately take corrective action by removing
ALL combustible material that is near rear of
refrigerator!

REMOVE AND INSTALL
REMOVE UNIT
The rear of the refrigerator has sharp
edges and corners. To prevent cuts
or abrasions, be careful and wear cut
resistant gloves.
1. Close the valve at the propane gas tank(s).
To avoid possible propane gas leaks,
always use two wrenches to loosen
and tighten the gas supply line con-
nections. Remove the refrigerator AC
power cord from the receptacle.
2. Remove the refrigerator AC power cord from the recep-
tacle.
3. Remove the DC wiring from the refrigerator.
4. Remove the DC fuse or remove the DC wiring from the bat-
tery or the converter.
5. Remove the refrigerator DC power cord from the vehicle
wiring plug.
6. Open the lower intake vent and remove the gas supply line
from the bulkhead fitting of the refrigerator.
7. Remove the white plastic plugs from the sides of the refrig-
erator interior.
8. Remove the screws from the sides of the refrigerator
interior.
Only carry the refrigerator at the strap
handles on top. To prevent damage
to door, do NOT use your knees to
support the unit.
9. Remove the refrigerator from the opening using care not to
damage the combustion seal!
Combustion seal can be reused if the
unit is removed without damaging the
seal.

INSTALL UNIT
1 - Install Cabinet
The rear of the refrigerator has sharp
edges and corners. To prevent cuts
or abrasions, be careful and wear cut
resistant gloves.
1. Move refrigerator next to RV cabinet.
Only carry the refrigerator at the strap
handles on top. To prevent damage
to door, do NOT use your knees to
support the unit.
2. Push the refrigerator completely into the enclosure using
care not to damage combustion seal if still attached to
refrigerator.

3. To attach the refrigerator, use screws and finishing caps.
4. If combustion seal is removed from refrigerator, refer to
"Install Combustion Seal" procedure.
5. Install the gas supply line to the bulkhead fitting of the
refrigerator.
Combustion seal can be reused if the
unit is removed without damaging the
seal.
6. Install refrigerator DC power cord to vehicle wiring plug.
To avoid possible propane gas leaks,
always use two wrenches to loosen
and tighten the gas supply line con-
nections.
7. Install DC fuse or DC wiring to the battery or the converter.
8. Install DC wiring to the refrigerator.
9. Install refrigerator AC power cord to the receptacle.
10.Before operating unit test for gas leaks, refer to "Test for
Gas Leaks."

3 - Test Unit
Once the repair is complete, test the refrigerator by following
the instructions below. If necessary, refer to the Owners and
Installation Manual.
1. Push On/Off button (25A); hold for 1 second. The lighted
button will be green.
2. Select a power source. Push Source button (25B) until
desired power source is displayed:
• AC power- If the engine is not running, and 120 volts
AC is available to the refrigerator, AC mode will be
selected and displayed.
• DC power-If the engine is running, DC mode will be
selected and displayed.
• Propane power-If the engine is not running, and 120
volts AC is NOT available to the refrigerator, gas mode
will be selected and displayed.
3. Push Cooling Level indicator button (25°C) to coldest
setting level. A properly functioning refrigerator will begin
cooling within 2 hours.
2 - Test for Gas Leaks
To avoid injury, never check for leaks
with an open flame; leak investiga-
tions must be carried out using a leak
detector spray. Failure to comply could
result in personal injury!
1. Open valve at propane gas tank(s).
2. Ensure that gas connection is tight. Use leak detection
spray or fluid to verify solid connection, free from gas leaks,
at gas regulator connection and bulkhead fitting.

Maintenance Procedures
Refer to Fig. 3 for parts identification.
Clean / Replace Burners and Orifice
To avoid burns, allow the burner
box and burner components to cool
before attempting to service.
Clean Burner
1. Turn OFF power to the refrigerator.
2. Close LP gas tank valve.
3. Close gas control valve manual shut-off.
4. Remove drip cup.
Use two wrenches to loosen the
burner tube to prevent damage to
connections, piping, and components.
A damaged burner tube creates a
potential for gas leaks.
5. Remove burner box cover.
6. Disconnect burner tube from orifice assembly; remove
orifice assembly.
7. Remove burner retaining screw; remove burner from
burner box frame.
8. Clean burner.
Burner slots may be cleaned with a
small flat file. The inner bore of burner
body may be cleaned with a 3/16 in.,
double-spiral wire brush. Do not dam-
age threads when cleaning inner bore
of burner.

Do not insert any type of cleaning
tool or wire into orifice. Do not drill or
ream the orifice opening to clean it.
Insertion of any type of cleaning tools,
reaming, or drills through opening will
alter volume of LP gas flow to burner
and create a fire hazard potential.
Do not use compressed air to clean a
jeweled type orifice. The air pressure
may unseat the jewel orifice insert
from adapter.
9. Visually inspect orifice. If dirty, wash assembly with
alcohol then allow to air dry. Replace orifice assembly
if cleaning fails to remove dirt or if the condition of the
part is questionable.
10. Clean any accumulation of dirt or debris from burner
box base.
11. Reinstall burner. Do not over tighten burner’s retain-
ing screw.Turn ON refrigerator and select LP manual
mode operation.
12. Thread orifice assembly into burner finger tight, then
finish tightening using two wrenches.
13. Thread burner tube fitting finger tight, then finish tight-
ening using two wrenches.
14. Install burner box cover. Do not overtighten the cover
retaining screw.
15. Open LP gas tank valve.
16. Open solenoid gas valve manual shut-off.
17. Turn ON refrigerator and select LP manual mode
operation.
18. Leak test LP gas connections during 30 second trial-
for-ignition.
19. If gas leak detected, shut off gas at main source and
correct problem.
20. Repeat steps 15-19 until a gas leak-free environment
is achieved.
