Installation Instructions
Introduction
The 2GIG Vario Wireless Receiver is a flexible unit that can be used either as a
wireless receiver when connected to the security panel or as a stand-alone
receiver, with support for 2GIG sensors.
Main Features
Up to 32 supervised wireless zones
Up to 16 multi-function keyfobs
Two utility outputs
Signal jamming detection
Threshold-level calibration
Tamper detection
Transmitter supervision low battery detection
Low battery detection
Nominal center frequency: 345 MHz
Mounting Considerations
Do not install the receiver close to metal objects and RF generating
devices such as TV sets or computers.
Mount the receiver at a height of at least 1.5 m (5 ft) above the floor.

1. Screw cap
2. Upper mounting hole
3. Lower mounting holes (optional)
4. Wall tamper hole

1. Separate the mounting bracket from the main unit.
2. Use the mounting bracket as a marking template.
3. Tear off screw caps, as needed for covering front screw hole.
4. Mount the bracket to the wall.

NOTE: The maximum wire run permitted is 300 meters (1,000 ft)
for the total BUS wiring regardless of the wiring gauge used.
When closing the cover, use a screw cap loated on the rear side to
cover the closing screw.

LED Indications
Programming Steps in the Panel
The following instructions outline the steps required to program the system to
enable wireless expansion using the wireless receiver. For full programming
instructions, refer to the 2GIG Vario System Installation & Programming Guide.
1. Define the receiver ID using DIP switches 1–3. The receiver ID is set to
1 by default.
2. Allocate the receiver to the system (Programming Menu—Quick Keys:
⑦①② ❺).
3. Allocate the relay outputs of the receiver as an output receiver (UO02)
to the system (Programming Menu—Quick Keys: ⑦①②❸).
4. Calibrate the receiver (Programming Menu—Quick Keys: ⑦②❶).
5. Allocate the wireless device (Programming Menu—Quick Keys:
⑦②②).
6. Perform a communication test between the receiver and the device
(Main Menu > Maintenance > Wireless Test).
7. Set the receiver parameters (Zones—Quick Keys ② ① , Keyfobs—
⑧ ② ) and the outputs parameters (Quick Key ③).
NOTE: Multiple receivers can be allocated to the panel.
