1.Keep yourwork area cleanand well lit.Cluttered benches anddark areas inviteaccidents.
2.Keep bystanders,children and visitorsaway while operationtool. Distractions cancause you tolose
control
3.Stay alert,watch what youare doing anduse common sensewhen operating tool.Do not usetool while
tired or underthe influence ofdrugs, alcohol, ormedication. Amoment of inattentionwhile operating
tools may resultin serious personalinjury.
4.Dress property. Do notwear loose clothingor jewelry.Contain long hair. Keep yourhair, clothingand
gloves away frommoving parts.
5.Loose clothes,jewelry, orlong hair canbe caught inmoving parts.
6.Remove adjustingkeys or switchesbefore turning thetool on.A wrenchor a keythat is leftattached to

7.Do notoverreach. Keep properfooting and balanceat all times.

9.Use safetyequipment. Alwayswearing eye andear protectors arerecommended. Dust mask,non-skid
safety shoes, hardhat, and/or hearingprotection must beused for appropriateconditions.
10.Use clampsor other practicalways to secureand support theworkplace to astable platform. Holding
the work byhand or againstyour body isunstable and maylead to lossof control.
11.Donot force toolsor overload. Usethe correct toolfor your application.The correct toolwill do thejob
better and saferat the ratefor which itis designed.
12.Tools are dangerousin the handsof untrained users.
13.Check formisalignment or bindingof moving parts,breakage of parts,and any othercondition that
may affect thetool's operation. Ifdamaged, have thetool serviced beforeUsing. Many accidentsare \

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TOOL SETUP
Fig. 1 (Above)shows on optimalsetup that includesan inline filter, regulator andoiler.All of the
components are soldseparately and availableat Northern Tool + Equipment.
NOTE: Yourtool requires lubricationbefore every use.Disconnect the airsupply from thetool before
lubrication. Position thetool so thatthe inlet isfacing up. Putin one totwo drops ofhigh speed spindleoil
or 3-in-1 oilinto the airinlet. Operate thetool briefly tocirculate oil afteradding MEVER usedetergent oil
or additives. Ifan in-line oil(above diagram) isused, manual lubricationthrough the airinlet is not
required on adaily basis.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Most air toolproblems occur becausehumid and ordirty air getsinto the line.Be sure touse an airfilter
to get ridof the moistureand minute particles.
Oil, either toomuch or toolittle, is anotherproblem area. Makesure the toolis oiled eithermanually
through the airinlet, or automaticallywith the in-lineoiler as depictedin the abovediagram.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING!Always disconnectthe air supplybefore attempting anymaintenance.
1.Always makesure the triggeris in its“OFF” position, anddisconnect the toolfrom its compressedair
supply before performingany inspection, adjustments,maintenance, or cleaning.
2.Before eachuse, inspect thegeneral condition ofthe tool. Checkfor loose screws,misalignment or
binding of movingparts, cracked orbroken parts, damagedair hose, andany other conditionthat may
affect its safeoperation. If abnormalnoise or vibrationoccurs, have theproblem corrected before
further use. Donot use damagedequipment.
3.Daily: Witha clean cloth,remove all dirt,oil, and greasefrom the tool.If necessary,you may usea mild
detergent. Do notuse solvents, asdamaged to thetool may occur. Do notImmerse the toolin any
Liquids.
