1.2. Intended use, warranty
This light is designed for private use and for use in
normal office environments.
Wear, damage due to improper use or unauthor-
ised modifications and repairs are not covered by
the warranty or the guarantee.
1.3. Safety instructions
•Risk of eye damage! Never look directly into the
light source!
•The voltage and mains frequency of your power
supply must match the specifications on the
rating plate of the plug-in adapter.
Ensure that the light can be disconnected from
the power supply at any time.
•Only use the light with the supplied Novus
plug-in adapter!
•Only use the light provided that it is in fault-
less condition, while observing the operating
instructions and the usual regulations, guide-
lines and applicable safety and accident preven-
tion requirements.
Take the light out of service immediately if any
faults occur!
•Only use the light in enclosed spaces at tem-
peratures of ° to ° (°F to °F) and with
non-condensing humidity of % to %!
•Do not use the light in rooms where there is a
risk of explosion!
•The light is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with restricted physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of expe-
rience and knowledge, unless they are working
under supervision or receive detailed instruc-
tion about how to use the device from a person
who is responsible for safety.
•Protect the light from shocks, impact, moisture
and excessive heat!
Prevent trapped heat!
•The light and packaging material are not toys.
•Only operate the light on undimmed sockets!
•Do not touch the LEDs!
•Ensure the light is standing securely!
If the light tips over it can cause injury or dam-
age.
•Ensure that the connection cable does not pose
any danger. Trip hazard! Do not wind the con-
nection cable around the light.



1.4. Special functions
• If the multifunction switch is not used for more
than  hours, the desk light switches off auto-
matically.
•If the operating temperature becomes excessi-
vely high while the desk light is switched on, the
luminosity will be automatically reduced.
1.5. Cleaning and disposal
Risk of injury!
•Disconnect the light from the power supply.
•Do not clean the light with water. Risk of dama-
ge!
•To prevent damage to the light, check the com-
patibility of the cleaning agent.
Dispose of the light properly in an envi-
ronmentally friendly way at an autho-
rised collection point. Do not dispose of
any parts of the light in domestic waste.

1.7. Positioning
When positioning the light, ensure that other
people are not dazzled by it, and that the light is
not reflected in a mirror.
The pivots of the light must not be moved beyond
the intended swivelling angle. This can cause
damage to the light.
