EINSTELLUNGEN AM AV-RECEIVER / SETTINGS ON AV RECEIVER
Hier ist der Bassanteil sehr dominant und präzise, da
die „störende“ Audioinformation der Front- oder Rear-
Lautsprecher fehlt.
Bei der Musikwiedergabe (z.B. Stereo CD) ist es hingegen
oft der Fall, dass der Subwoofer-Lautstärkepegel nicht wie
gewünscht vernommen wird. Vor allem, wenn das System
auf die Wiedergabe von Surround-Sound eingestellt
worden ist. Sie sollten versuchen einen Ihrem Geschmack
entsprechendenKompromisszunden.
Wir empfehlen die Lautstärke des Subwoofers folgender-
maßen einzustellen:
Auch wenn Sie eine „automatische Einmessung“ durchgeführt
haben, sollten Sie die Lautstärke des Subwoofers im
Bass-Management des AV-Receivers einen höheren Wert
festlegen (+6 bis +10 dB). Dadurch wird garantiert, dass die
automatische An- und Abschaltelektronik („Auto ON“) des
Subwoofers einwandfrei funktioniert.
Den gewünschten Lautstärkepegel können Sie anschließend
durch Ausprobieren am Subwoofer selbst einstellen („Volume“).

When playing back music (e.g. stereo CD), however, it
is often the case that the subwoofer volume level is not
heard as desired, especially when the system has been set
to surround sound. You should try to nd an appropriate
compromise to suit your taste.
We recommend that you set the subwoofer volume as follows:
Even if you have performed an ‘automatic calibration’, set
the volume of the subwoofer in the bass management
of the AV receiver to a higher value (+6 to +10 dB). This
ensures that the automatic check-in and switch-off ( ‘Auto
ON’) of the subwoofer is functioning properly.
The desired volume level can be set afterward using trial and
error on the subwoofer (‘volume’). For detailed instructions
please refer to the NUMAN-UNISUB manual starting on page 12.

Erscheint Ihnen die Übergangsfrequenz zu „hoch“,
können Sie die Frequenz ohne Probleme am Subwoofer
nachjustieren. Zu hoch eingestellte Übergangsfrequenz
kann zu unerwünschtenErgebnissenführen.Hiergilt wieder,
sich auf Ihr Gehör zu verlassen und zu Experimentieren.
PHASE
Sollte Ihr AV-Receiver über eine „automatische Einmessung
verfügen“, wird normalerweise bei diesem Schritt auch
die Phase des Subwoofers richtig eingestellt. Zuvor sollte
die Phase am Subwoofer auf „0°“ eingestellt werden. Für
Receiver ohne des automatischen Features gilt: Sie haben
die richtige Einstellung gefunden, wenn die Basswiedergabe
des Subwoofers laut und präzise ist (Näheres in der
Anleitung des NUMAN-UniSub ab Seite 12).
LAUTSTÄRKE
Wir möchten Sie gerne darauf hinweisen, dass die
Lautstärke des Subwoofers je nach Tonmaterial teilweise
erheblich variieren kann. Bei Mehrkanal-Tonaufnahmen
(z.B. Filme oder Konzerte mit 5.1 Surround-Sound) gibt es
in er Regel eine eigene Audiospur für den Subwoofer.
Should you nd the crossover frequency too ‘high’, you may
easily readjust the frequency on the subwoofer. A crossover
frequency that is set too high can lead to undesirable
results. Again, rely on your hearing and experiment with
various settings to nd the optimal adjustment.
PHASE
If your AV receiver is set up via an ‘automatic calibration
feature’, the phase of the subwoofer is normally properly set
at this step. Previously, the phase on the subwoofer should
be set to ‘0°’. For receivers without the automatic feature:
you have found the right setting if the bass response of
the subwoofer is loud and precise (more details in the
NUMAN-UNISUB manual starting on page 12).
VOLUME
We would like to point out that the volume of the
subwoofer can vary signicantly depending on the sound
material. For multi-channel sound recordings (e.g. lms
or concerts with 5.1 surround sound), there is generally a
separate audio track for the subwoofer.
