C. Pour the fuel into the tank and fasten the
cap tightly.
D. Pump fuel into the carburettor by pressing
the primer pump until fuel is visible in bulb.
E. Set the throttle lever at the idling
(lowest) position.
F. Ensure both Kill switch & Hold to run
control are in the “Run” position.
G. Swing the choke located at the top of

H. Turn off choke as engine begins to roughen.
You cannot set the Choke at the starting position unless the throttle lever is in the idle
position.
WARM STARTS
You can restart the engine immediately after operation with the Choke “Off”.
STARTING
Put the machine on flat stable ground, and pull the zip cord with one hand and use the
other to grip the Engine Stop Hold-to-run control and support the machine.
1. Pull the zip cord slowly at first and then as you feel the resistance pull quickly for
the rest of the action.
IMPORTANT
2. DO NOT pull the cord out completely. Do not let the zip cord go. Let it retract
slowly.
3. Ensure that the throttle lever remains at the idling position during warming up.
4. If you increase the throttle lever when the engines is not warm enough, the choke
will automatically set back at the operating position and it may stop the engine
5. Allow machine to warm up for 2 minutes before cutting
6. Increase engine speed before commencing cutting.
7. Reduce throttle to idle when not cutting.
8. When in position to begin cutting, engage the cutting blades by Operator A
gripping the Hold to Run Control on the throttle lever end. Always fully engage
the blades & only do this when the engine is running.
ACTIVATING THE CUTTING BLADES
9. To disengage the cutting blades, operator A should release the Hold to Run
Control on the throttle lever end.
STEP by STEP OPERATION
The Supercut 2000NT Nursery Trimmer is designed to be operated by three (3)
trained persons.
WARNING
a) Once the Trimmer and its components have been inspected for safety and the
Collection Bag has been installed, the SuperCut 2000 NT is ready to be used.
b) Carefully inspect the area to be cut and remove any objects which may be
damaged or thrown up by the Trimmer.
c) Operator B should grip the Hold to Run control on the handle at the engine end
& pull the starter cord to start the engine.
d) Operator A should adjust the throttle to the engine speed that best suits the
type of plant being cut. Some experimentation with engine speed may be
required to establish the most economical level for each plant type. Having the
throttle fully open at the highest engine speed provides the best cut and
collection method. However, high engine speed will consume more fuel and
decrease engine life.
e) The handle at the engine end is provided with a sling type harness which
should be adjusted to fit over the operators shoulder to support the weight of
the trimmer & reduce muscular strain.
f) Operator A can engage the blades (by gripping the Hold to Run control at the
non engine end) when ready to commence cutting.
NOTE g) The Trimmer requires 3 operators. Operator B (on the
engine end) should proceed slightly behind operator A
on the throttle lever end. This allows operator C to
follow operator A & support the collection bag to
prevent it dragging across the cut plants.
h) Both operators A & B control the cutting height - some
practice may be necessary to ensure a flat, even cut.
i) With the Trimmer raised to the correct height for the
plant, walk at an even pace down the row of plants to
be cut.
CAUTION
j) The bag will become heavy with prunings & will require emptying when filled.
The ergonomic posture of each user and the weight of prunings have the
potential to result in muscular strain. Nursery Supplies Australia P/L therefore
recommend that the 3 users rotate positions every 10 minutes of operation, to
reduce such risk.
k) Shut off the engine and remove cuttings from the Collection Bag as required. If
the Collection Bag becomes too heavy the Trimmer will be difficult and
dangerous to operate.
IMPORTANT
l) If pruning larger or higher plants two or more cutting runs may be required.
Do not attempt to remove excessive amounts of foliage on the first pass and
never cut stems greater than 7mm in diameter.

MAINTENANCE
SETTING AND ADJUSTMENT OF CUTTING BLADES
IMPORTANT
The fast, reciprocal movement of the blades can cause blades
to lose their adjustment. If the quality of cutting is reduced,
some adjustment of the blades may be necessary. Adjustments
are made as follows:
• Whilst holding the screw (2) on the bottom of the blades,
loosen nut (1) off completely. Use the special tool and
screwdriver supplied.
• Re-tighten the nut fully and then turn back 1/2 to
3/4 turn so the blades will move freely.
• Repeat for all other nuts on the blades.
• Oil the blades after adjusting the nuts and bolts.
CHECK THE ADJUSTMENT OF BLADES
To check the adjustment of the nuts and bolts on the blades:
• Start the engine and engage the blades. Run the Trimmer at the highest
possible speed for approximately one minute. Disengage the blades and turn
off the engine.
• If the nuts on the cutting blades are warm to touch, adjustment and
clearance is correct. If the nuts are hot to touch, they are too tight and need
to be loosened 1/3 to 1/2 turn.
• Repeat steps 1 + 2 above.
ADJUSTMENT AND CLEANING OF BLOW-DUCT.
The Blow-duct will not require adjustment under normal
conditions of use. The direction of the outlets on the frame
is crucial to the way the cuttings are blown into the bag.
The openings on the blower should remain free from
blockages.
If the Blow-duct direction is not correct then optimal
performance pick-up of cuttings will not occur.
1. Loosen off screws on the base of the duct and rotate duct back into the
correct position.
2. Re-tighten screws.
CLEANING OF BLOWER
If performance of blow-duct is noticeably reduced, it could be due to a blockage
or debris build up on the fan air intake.
1. With engine off, carefully clean the area on the fan cover of any dust or debris
with a soft brush.
WARNING
2. Do not insert anything into the Air Intake when engine is running as the
rotating parts may cause personal injury or result in damage to the machine.
MAINTENANCE
COOLING FINS
Inspect the engine cylinder cooling fins before each operation & remove any debris
which may clog the fins. When cooling fins are clogged, the engine may overheat
resulting in breakdown.
CLEANING OF AIR FILTER
A. Remove dust inside the air filter cover after every 25-hours of operation.
(more often in Dusty conditions). To open the air filter, press the hook to
detach the air filter cover.
B. If the element is heavily soiled, clean it thoroughly with petrol and dry it well.
C. Check internal surfaces of body & Carburettor intake throat & ensure no dust
or debris is present. Reinsert air filters
D. If the element is deformed or damaged, replace it with new one. Refer to
Nursery Supplies Australia Pty Ltd or Authorised Agent for replacement
parts.
IMPORTANT
A clogged or damaged air-cleaner element may lead to the reduction of engine
performance.
Do not operate the engine without element or with deformed or damaged element.
This can damage the engine.
CARBURETTOR ADJUSTMENT
TENSION OF THE THROTTLE CABLE
One to two millimetres of clearance is appropriate with the throttle lever at the idle
position. You can adjust the clearance by loosening or tightening the throttle cable
adjustment nut located at the upper side of the carburettor.

IDLING SPEED
IMPORTANT
These screws are set at the factory & should not require adjustment.
It is best to refer this type of adjustment to an experienced mechanic.
Adjust the engine speed at idle by turning the idle adjustment screw. If the engine
stops or the engine speed is too high, amend adjustment as required.
To increase the idle rpm, turn the screw to the right, and to reduce, turn the screw
to the left.
FUEL TANK AND FUEL FILTER
Inspect the inside of the fuel tank after every 25 hours operation. If dust or
moisture is found, remove the tank from the machine and clean it thoroughly.
Dry well and replace.
To clean the fuel filter, empty the fuel tank and then
take out the fuel filter.
If the filter is clogged up, replace it with new one. Refer to
Nursery Supplies Australia Pty Ltd or Authorised Agent for
replacement.
FUEL TANK CAP
Inspect the air vent, and if it is clogged up, take the cap off and carefully dislodge
dust using a soft wire. Take care to avoid contaminating fuel in tank.
IMPORTANT
Clogging of the fuel filter or the air vent can cause low power or sub-standard
engine performance.
Do not operate the engine without the fuel filter. Sediment may enter the
carburettor and may cause damage to the engine
PLANT HYGIENE
In order to reduce the risk of spreading disease, it is recommended that the
cutting blades of the Supercut 2000NT Nursery Trimmer be sterilised after each
row of plants, or between cutting of different species plants. The sterilising
solution used for your pruning equipment should be sprayed on to the upper &
lower blades, before moving on to the next group of plants.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
