CongratulationsonyourpurchaseoftheNuVoAccentPLUS1andAccentPLUS2OutdoorSpeakers.Adurablemineralfilled,UV-
resistantcabinetandpowder-coatedaluminumgrillareabletowithstandtheelementsandthroughcarefuldesign,arecapableof
superioraudioreproduction.Thesecretisinahoneycombpatternmoldedintotheenclosurethatprovidesimportantrigidityand
alsohousesaspecialbituminous, acousticallyinertmaterialthateliminatesunwantedresonance.Whetheryouarelisteningto
theAccentPLUS1orAccentPLUS2models,theincreasedbassandtrebleresponsewillheightenanylisteningexperience.

SpeakerPlacement
ProperplacementofthespeakersiscrucialtoenjoyingthebenefitsoftheAccentPLUSOutdoorSpeakers.Considertheoptimal
listeningarea.Thespeakersshouldideallybeplacedfacingthatareawith8-10feetofseparationorifyouareusingthestereo
speakerstrytocenteritwithinthespace.Theon-wallbracketprovidedwiththespeakersallowsthemtobeangledideallyatthe
earlevelofthelistener.
ProperlyMountingtheSpeakers
Eachspeakerisshippedwithtwotypesofmounts.Oneisatripod
thatallowseachspeakertositonatabletoporshelf.Theotheris
aU-shapedbracketthatisdesignedformountingthespeakers
onawall.
TabletopMount
Tousetheincludedtabletopmount,locatethebottomofthe
speaker.Thisistheinsetmountingscrewwithasmallhole
positionednexttoit.Thisisdesignedtoreceivethesmallpeg
moldedonthetopofthetripod.Thespeakerandthetripodalso
havecorrespondingbevelsthatinterlock.Lineupthepegwith
theholeandtheinterlockingbevelsonboththestandand
speakerandsecurethestandtothespeakerwiththeincluded
endcap,fig.1.Oncesecuredthespeakerwillstanduprighton
anylevelsurface.
WallMounting
AU-shapedbracketisshippedwitheachspeakerdesignedfor
mountingthespeakerhorizontallyonawall.Thebeveled
surfacesontheinsideofthemountandontheexteriorendsof
thespeakerallowthespeakertobetightenedandangled
appropriatelytowardthelisteningarea.Theendcapsprovided
withthespeakerstightenthebrackettothespeakerenclosureto
holdthespeakeratthedesiredangle,fig.2.

CornerMounting
Thewallbracketshaveanangledesignedformountingthe
speakersacrossa90° insidecorner.Thisisveryusefulwithinan
enclosedpatioareaoranglingthespeakersintoaroom,fig.3.
OptionalOmniMount(notincluded)
Thetopofeachspeakercabinethasapairofinsetscrews
designedforusewiththeOmniMount20.5ballmount.Thisis
usefulformountingthespeakersverticallyratherthan
horizontally.Themountconsistsoftwopieces.Onethatscrews
tothespeakerenclosureandonethatismountedonthewall.
Thewallmounthasatwo-piecemechanismthattightensaround
aballontheendofthespeakermount.Thisallowsthespeaker
tobeplacedattheappropriateangleandtightenedholdingits
placement,fig.4.

MakingtheConnection
Positiveandnegativespringloadedconnectionterminalsare
locatedonthebackofeachspeaker.Notethatthestereo
speakershavetwopairsofterminalstoacceptbothleftandright
signals.Theterminalsarecolorcodedredforthepositivesignal
andblackforthenegativesignal,fig5.Forthispurpose,many
pairsofspeakerwiresutilizeredandblackshieldingforeasily
identifyingthepositiveandnegativeleads.Otherspeakerwires
useacopperwireforpositiveandwhitetintedcopperwirefor
negative.
Oncetheinstallationiscomplete,yourspeakersshouldbefully
operational.Shouldyouhavenoaudiofromthespeakers,make
surethespeakerwiresdidnotbecomedisconnectedfromthe
terminalposts,orthatthereisnotashortinthespeakerwire.
