When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including:
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Keep dry. Replace control if
exposed to water, moisture or contamination.
WARNING: Use and follow these instructions
along with all instructions that have been
provided with your whirlpool bathtub in order
to fully enjoy the bathtub safely.
WARNING: Electronic control system
components should be installed as per local
and national Electrical Codes, in a location not
to be subjected to splashing or flooding.
Exposure to water or splashing will void all
product certifications and warranties.
There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Opening, modifying, or tampering with control
system components will void all product
certifications and warranties.
WARNING: Risk of electric shock. Connect
only to a ground type receptacle or power
supply junction box protected by a Ground-
Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). Contact a
qualified electrician if you cannot verify that the
power supply is protected by a GFCI. The
GFCI should be tested on a routine basis.
Consult the GFCI manufacturer’s instructions
for correct testing and operation.
For electrical connections, see applicable
wiring diagram.
See www.nuwhirl.com/docs/product-
instructions.html
Do not use an extension cord to connect the
product to the electric supply; provide a properly
located receptacle or junction box.
WARNING: Failure to install in strict accordance
with each and every instruction above may
compromise the system, which may cause
injury to persons and/or property.
The tub may be supplied from more than one
power source. Before working on any electrical
device, make sure all power to the control
system is off.
Use this unit only for its intended use as
described in this manual. Do not use
attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer. Any improper installation or
misuse of the equipment may result in injury to
the user and will void the warranty.
Save these instructions.

AIR BLOWERS
Installation & Operating Instruction Manual
Installation Instructions
This installation procedure is for use by Tub Manufacturers or Qualified Service Personnel ONLY.
1. Install the blower on a flat horizontal surface using appropriate hardware.
3. To reduce noise, provide or install vibration resistant pads underneath the blower mounting feet.
4. Connect the outlet piping to the blower: If the blower has a slip-socket, insert the piping and
secure with the supplied clamp. Do not glue the pipe into the socket. If the blower has a
threaded outlet, hand tighten the union nut to the blower. The o-ring in the union is all that is
necessary to secure a leak-free joint, do not use any Teflon tape or pipe joint compound on the
threads of the union.
WIRING
1. Make sure power is off from the source before installation.
2. The blower must be wired for the proper voltage by a licensed electrician in accordance with all
applicable electrical codes.
3. The voltage, ampere draw, and frequency are listed on the blower nameplate—DO NOT EXCEED
NAMEPLATE VOLTAGE.
4. Install an outlet receptacle or junction box (depending on the power cord configuration supplied
on the blower) within range of the power cord.
5. The conductors to supply power to the outlet receptacle or junction box must be large enough to
carry the necessary amperes for the required length without excessive voltage drop.
6. The power to the blower should be on a dedicated branch circuit that is protected by a Ground-
Fault Interrupter Circuit (GFCI). The GFCI should be readily accessible for routine operational
testing.
7. All internal wiring has been completed at the factory. No additional wiring is required in the
terminal box compartment.
8. The metal enclosures of all electrical components, current collectors, and other metal in contact
with the tub water shall be bonded together with individual solid copper bonding conductors not
smaller than #8 AWG. A bonding lug for this purpose is provided on the blower, if required.
SERVICING AND REPLACEMENT
The blower has been designed and tested to give trouble-free operation over the lifetime of the
bathtub. If the system does not operate as described, stop the blower and contact the bathtub
manufacturer or supplier.
Do not attempt to service the blower. There are no field replaceable parts. Any service performed
on the whirlpool system must be performed by a qualified service technician in accordance with
applicable codes. Before working on electrical equipment, be certain that the power is off at the
source.
Replace blower with a blower of equal power. Changing the power of the blower (higher or lower)
may adversely affect the performance of the blower and the whirlpool system.

Operating Instructions
Note This blower-equipped tub system is operated by air switches or TOUCHSTONE® Electronic
Controls. For specific operations related to the tub, please refer to the Dual Load Controller Manual
MANCIMC296, Master Bath Controller MANCMBC298 or the document supplied with the tub or
from your Sales Representative.
These operating instructions should be used in conjunction with other instructions and warnings
provided with the whirl-pool bathtub in order to fully under-stand and safely utilize the tub.
With an air button control, the blower may function as a single or multi speed unit. If the control is
single speed, subsequent presses of the button will turn the blower on and off at full speed. If the
control is multi speed, either successive presses of the button will activate the different speeds of
the blower before turning the blower off, or a press and hold action will vary the speed of the
blower. Please refer to the controller manual supplied with the tub for specific operations.
With a keypad control, the blower may function as a single or multi-speed unit. The action of the
keys may require press and release or press and hold actions to perform functions. A key with a
“+/-” symbol may be provided to raise or lower the power of the blower. Please refer to the
controller manual supplied with the tub for specific operations.
The control will include a “dry cycle” or “purge” function. This is a preset function that will
automatically turn the blower on for a short period of time at a set interval after the blower has
been turned off (either manually or by the timer function).
The dry cycle will purge out, or dry out any residual water that is in the caps of the air inlet fittings
and/or the air supply lines feeding them. This is a desirable feature to keep the system clean and
fresh and is an intended function of the system.
WARNING: Blower systems must be properly configured (sized) based upon the specifications
of installed system components and must not exceed the max PSI rating for each model blow-
er as published by NuWhirl. Failure to do so may cause the blower to over-heat and shut down
or cause damage to system components or property or persons.
