UNPACKING
After unpacking the unit, inspect carefully for any
damage that may have occurred during transit. Check
for loose, missing, or damaged parts. If any damage
is observed, a shipping damage claim must be filed
with the carrier. DO NOT use the OEMTOOLS™Jump
Starter if broken, bent, cracked or damaged parts
(including labels) are noted. Any Jump Starter that
appears damaged in any way, operates abnormally
or is missing parts should be removed from service
immediately. If you suspect that the Jump Starter
was subjected to shock load (a load that was dropped
suddenly, unexpectedly, etc.), immediately discontinue
use until it has been checked by a factory authorized
service center.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
AND SAFETY RULES
1. Know your tool. Read this manual carefully. Learn the tool’s
applications and limitations, as well as potential hazards
specific to it.
2. Maintain a safe working environment. Keep the work area well
lit. Make sure there is adequate surrounding workspace. Keep
the work area free of obstructions, grease, oil, trash, and other
debris. DO NOT use this product in a damp or wet location.
3. Keep children away. All children should be kept away from the
work area. Never let a child handle a tool without strict adult
supervision.
4. DO NOT operate this tool if under the influence of alcohol or
drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to determine if
your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If
there is any doubt, DO NOT attempt to operate.
5. Use safety equipment. Eye protection should be worn at all times
when operating this tool. Use ANSI approved safety glasses.
Everyday eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses. Dust mask, non-
skid safety shoes, hard hat or hearing protection should be used
in appropriate conditions.
6. Wear proper apparel. Loose clothing, gloves, neck-ties, rings,
bracelets or other jewelry may present a potential hazard
when operating this tool. Keep all apparel clear of the tool.
7. DO NOT overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times when operating this tool.
8. Check for damage. Check your tool regularly. If part of the tool
is damaged, it should be carefully inspected to make sure
that it can perform its intended function correctly. If in doubt,
the part should be repaired. Refer all servicing to a qualified
technician. Consult your dealer for advice.
9. Keep away from flammables. DO NOT attempt to operate this
tool near flammable materials or combustibles. Failure to
comply may cause serious injury or death.
10. Store idle tools out of the reach of children and untrained persons.
Tools may be dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
11. Maintain tools with care.
12. Keep tools dry and clean.
13. Properly maintained tools are less likely to bind and are easier
to control. DO NOT use a damaged tool. Tag damaged tools
“DO NOT use” until repaired.

20. Keep the power source clean, dry, and free from brake fluid, grease

21. Before use, read and understand all warnings, safety
precautions, and instructions as outlined in the vehicle
manufacturer’s service manual. It is beyond the scope of this
manual to properly describe the correct procedure and test
data for each vehicle.
22. Always perform vehicle service in a properly ventilated area.
Never run an engine without proper ventilation for its exhaust.
Stop work and take necessary steps to improve ventilation in
the work area if you develop momentary eye, nose, or throat
irritation as this indicates inadequate ventilation.
23. Engine parts that are in motion and unexpected movement of
a vehicle can injure or kill. When working near moving engine
parts, wear snug fit clothing and keep hands and fingers away
from moving parts. Keep hoses and tools clear of moving
parts. Always stay clear of moving engine parts. Hoses and
tools can be thrown through the air if not kept clear of moving
engine parts.
24. The unexpected movement of a vehicle can injure or kill. When
working on vehicles, always set the parking brake or chock the
wheels.
25. Avoid accidental fire and/or explosion. DO NOT smoke near
engine fuel and battery components.
26. The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this
manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations
that may occur. The operator must understand that common
sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this
product, but must be supplied by the operator.
27. For safety purposes and the prevention of damage to
expensive components, it is advised that the user have an
understanding of basic automotive repair and a working
knowledge of automotive systems.

1. DO NOT put fingers or hands into any of the power source’s
outlets.
2. DO NOT expose the power source to rain or snow.
3. Use only recommended attachments. Use of an attachment
not recommended or sold by OEMTOOLS™may result in a
risk of fire, electric shock or injury to persons or damage to
property.
4. To reduce the risk of damage to the electric plug or cord, pull
by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the unit.
5. DO NOT operate the unit with damaged cables or clamps.
6. Never attempt to modify or alter unit, cables or accessories;

instructions and those published by the battery manufacturer
and the manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in

9. DO NOT set the unit on flammable materials, such as
carpeting, upholstery, paper, cardboard, etc.
10. DO NOT use the unit to jump start a vehicle while charging the
internal battery.
WARNING: RISK OF EXPLOSIVE GASES. A SPARK NEAR THE
BATTERY MAY CAUSE A BATTERY EXPLOSION. TO REDUCE THE
RISK OF A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY:
1. NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of a
battery or engine.
2. Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets,
necklaces and watches when working with a lithium or lead-
acid battery. A battery can produce a short circuit current high
enough to weld a ring to metal, causing a severe burn.
3. Be cautious to reduce the risk of dropping a metal tool onto
the battery. It might spark or short-circuit the battery or other
electrical part that may cause an explosion.
4. Do not permit the internal battery of the unit to freeze. Never
charge a frozen battery.
5. To prevent sparking, NEVER allow clamps to touch together or
contact the same piece of metal.
6. Always have someone nearby to come to your aid when you
work near a lead-acid battery.
7. Have plenty of fresh water, soap and baking soda nearby for
use, in case battery acid contacts your eyes, skin, or clothing.
8. Wear complete eye and body protection, including safety
goggles and protective clothing. Avoid touching your eyes
while working near the battery.
9. If battery acid contacts your skin or clothing, immediately
wash the area with soap and water. If acid enters your eye,
immediately flood the eye with cold running water for at least
10 minutes and get medical attention right away.
10. If battery acid is consumed, DO NOT induce vomiting. Seek
medical attention immediately.
11. Neutralize any acid spills thoroughly with baking soda before
attempting to clean up.
BEFORE USE PRECAUTIONS AND PREPARATIONS
WARNING: RISK OF CONTACT WITH BATTERY ACID. BATTERY
ACID IS A HIGHLY CORROSIVE SULFURIC ACID.
1. Make sure the area around the battery is well ventilated while
the unit is in use.
2. Clean the battery terminals before using the jump starter.
During cleaning, keep airborne corrosion from coming into
contact with your eyes, nose and mouth. Use baking soda
and water to neutralize the battery acid and help eliminate
airborne corrosion. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
3. Determine the voltage of the battery by referring to the vehicle
owner’s manual and make sure that the output voltage of the
Jump Starter is correct.
4. Make sure that the power source cable clamps make secure
connections.

CHARGING THE UNIT
IMPORTANT! NEVER CHARGE UNIT UNATTENDED. CHARGE
IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASE, AND EVERY 3-6 MONTHS, TO
KEEP THE INTERNAL BATTERY FULLY CHARGED AND PROLONG
BATTERY LIFE. CHARGE AFTER USE. IF USED TO JUMP START.
ALLOW UNIT TO COOL DOWN FOR 15-20 MIN BEFORE CHARGING.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE THE UNIT WHILE CHARGING THE
INTERNAL BATTERY
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the unit’s wall
charger from the outlet before attempting any maintenance
or cleaning. Simply turning off the controls will not reduce
this risk.
2. When charging the internal battery, do so in a well-ventilated
area and do not leave unattended. Never charge the unit
immediately after jump start. Allow 15-20 min cool down.
HOW TO CHARGE POWER SOURCE
1. Plug the Micro USB cable into the unit input port.
2. Insert the other end of the USB cable into: (A) an AC adapter
connected to the wall socket, (B) a charging computer USB port.
3. The unit will automatically begin to charge and will turn off
when the battery of the Jump Starter is fully charged.

HOW TO USE THE JUMP STARTER
WHEN CONNECTING TO THE BATTERY
WARNING:A SPARK NEAR THE BATTERY MAY CAUSE A
BATTERY EXPLOSION.TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A SPARK NEAR
THE BATTERY:
1. Attach the output cables to the battery and proper ground
as indicated below. Never allow the output clamps to touch
each other.
2. Position the DC cables to reduce the risk of damage by the
hood, door and moving or hot engine parts.
NOTE: If it is necessary to close the hood during the jump starting
process. Ensure that the hood does not touch the metal part of the
battery clips or cut the insulation of the cables.
3. Stay clear of fan blades, belts, pulleys and other parts that can
cause injury.
4. Check the polarity of the battery posts. The POSITIVE
(POS, P, +) battery post usually has a larger diameter than
the NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) post. Determine which post of the
battery is grounded (connected) to the chassis. If the negative
post is grounded to the chassis (as in most vehicles), see step
6. If the positive post is grounded to the chassis, see step 7.
5. For a negative-grounded vehicle, connect the POSITIVE
(RED) clamp from the power source to the POSITIVE (POS,
P, +) ungrounded post of the battery. Connect the NEGATIVE
(BLACK) clamp to the NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) post of the battery.
Do not connect the clamp to the carburetor, fuel lines or
sheet-metal body parts.
6. For a positive-grounded vehicle, connect the NEGATIVE
(BLACK) clamp from the power source to the NEGATIVE
(NEG, N, -) ungrounded post of the battery. Connect the
POSITIVE (RED) clamp to the POSITIVE (POS, P, +) grounded
post of the battery. Do not connect the clamp to the carburetor,
fuel lines or sheet-metal body parts.
7. When disconnecting the unit, remove the clamp from
the power source, and then remove the clamps from the
battery terminals.
JUMP START 12V VEHICLE INSTRUCTION
1. Make sure that the unit is showing no less than 3 lights on the
LED charge indicator display before using as a jump-starter.
2. Connect the RED clamp to the vehicle’s battery positive (+)
terminal and connect the BLACK clamp to the battery negative
(-) terminal.
3. Plug the cord of jumper cable into the jump start output port.
4. Check indicator light on the clamps. If the light is green, it’s
ready to go. Start the vehicle, otherwise check the connection.
5. When the vehicle is started, remove the jumper cable from the
device and disconnect RED and BLACK clamps from vehicle
battery terminals.
6. Leave the vehicle’s engine running.
7. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE VEHICLE WITH THIS DEVICE
CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY, OR LEAVE ATTACHED TO THE
BATTERY OF A RUNNING VEHICLE

SMART CLAMP INSTRUCTIONS:
The improved Smart Clamps automatically sense resistance.
If the LED light does not turn green when correctly connected
to battery terminals, the Smart Clamps are sensing either 0V
or 12V resistance. If the Smart Clamps sense 0V resistance,
while the cables are connected, turn the car key (this may
introduce greater resistance). If the car has 11.9V resistance
or greater, the Smart Clamps will not allow the Jump Starter
to provide power. In these specified cases, the boost override
button located on the back of the Smart Clamp unit will need to
be engaged. Use a paper clip or small diameter screwdriver to
press the boost override button which will allow jump starting
cables to charge (see diagram below)
CHARGING CELL PHONE OR TABLET INSTRUCTION
1. Plug the USB cable to USB 5V/2.1A output port.
2. Select the appropriate connector for your cell phone or tablet
and connect it to any of them. This device can identify and
charge your electronic device automatically. The indicators will
be on when the device is charging.
NOTE: Please be advised that this device will not charge
devices with input currents lower than 80mA, including
some Bluetooth and GPS devices.
LED FLASHLIGHT
1. Press the switch for 2 seconds to turn on/off the LED
flashlight.
2. There are 3 modes of the LED light: Normal light, Strobe light
and SOS, which can be shifted from one to another by pressing
the switch.
3. Press the switch 3 seconds to turn off the LED flashlight for all
modes.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem No response when pressing the switch button.
Cause Low voltage protection of this gadget is started.
Solution Plug the Micro USB cable into the gadget input port.
1. Always make sure that the blue plug on the jumper cable is
tightly inserted into the jump start output before jump starting
the vehicle. Otherwise, it will affect the performance of the
device and could cause melting on the blue plug.
2. Always ensure the jumper cable clamps have a good
connection. Check the vehicle battery connector for excess
buildup and clear any away before jump starting the vehicle.
DO NOT attempt to jump start after 3 failed attempts.
Otherwise, it will damage your jump starter. After 3 failed
attempts, please check your vehicle for other problems; it is
likely that your vehicle has an underlying issue causing it to
not start.
3. DO NOT disassemble the jump starter. It can be dangerous
and will void the warranty.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
1. After use and before performing maintenance, unplug and
disconnect the unit.
2. Use a dry cloth to wipe all battery corrosion and other dirt or
oil from the battery clamps, cords, and the outer case.
3. Do not open the unit, as there are no user-serviceable parts;
any servicing should be performed by factory qualified service
personnel.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Charge battery to full capacity before storage.
2. Store this unit at temperatures between -4°F and 104°F
(-20°C and 40°C)..
3. Never completely discharge the battery.
4. Charge after each use.
5. Charge at least once every 3 to 6 months if not in frequent
use, to prevent over-discharge.

If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election, or we may elect to refund the purchase
