Preface
GPA-850, the wireless Blueooth portable sound system is features a sturdy,
lightweight and compact solution as integrated for sound specialist. The
system is capable to play both of CD and MP3 file format and Bluetooth
connection.
Additionally, GPA-850 supports maximum two sets of wireless microphone
receivers which include individual frequency adjustors and volume controls
for great applications.
The system is powered by the built-in batteries (4.5 Ah x 2 pcs) and intelligent
power adaptor which can connect with the worldwide AC power directly; it
can last 4-6 hours when the batteries are fully charged. GPA-850 is mobile by
the strong trolley and power-efficient to support quality performance for both
of music and speech application in a wide range.

Bluetooth
1. Press or hold (12) in 2 seconds to switch Bluetooth on / off.
2. You will hear a tone and the indicator will light blue. The indicator will also
flash blue to indicate that it is ready to pair with Bluetooth device.
3. When it's in pairing mode, activate a Bluetooth connection scan on your
smartphone or tablet device. When the search is complete, select a device
named “Portable PA” from the pairing list and get it connected.
4. When the devices have successfully paired, it will sound a prompt tone again.
The indicator will light steady blue.
5. You are now ready to stream audio via the Bluetooth connection from your
smartphone or tablet as it's connected.
6. If a phone call is incoming during playback, the audio stream will be interrupted
for the user to take the call. When the call is finished, the Bluetooth module will
be relinked automatically and audio files will recommence playback from where
they were interrupted.
7. When a user moves out of range for the Bluetooth connection, the audio stream
will be severed until the user returns to a location within range of the module.
8. When Bluetooth is switched off, you will hear a prompt tone again.

Controls and Operation

Turn “Receiver power on/off control” knob (7) clockwise until a click occurs.
A text of “ ” will appear on LCD window for about 2 seconds and it
follows a channel number. The turning-on is successful. To turn it off, just turn
the control counterclockwise until a click occurs. A text of “ ” will appear
on LCD window and will disappear after 2 to 3 seconds.
Press and hold “Up or Down” button (6) for 1 second until channel number is
blinking. Select a desired number through “Up or Down” button (6). A selected
channel number will be confirmed in 1 second if no more adjustment made to it.
Change channel manually
How SYNC works
“ ” function can find a clean channel and assign it to transmitter in the
range, about 3 M. Just turn on your microphone or transmitter first and press
SYNC button, in few seconds the progress will be done. During synchronization,
the RF indicator will blink.
Please complete channel setup in one receiver first and then a second one
when you have more than 1 receiver.
Be sure to give different channel number to each receiver.

Switch on/Switch off
1. Turn “Channel A / B” knob (2) / (5) clockwise until a clickoccurs, thenLCDwindow
willbeonand atextof“On”willappearonLCDwindow. After 1 ~ 2 seconds,
the LCD window will show a channel number and signal strength, it means the
receiver module switched-on successfully.
2. Vice versa, turn “Channel A / B” knob (2) / (5) counterclockwise until a click occurs,
then LCDwindowwillshowa text of “OFF” for about 2 ~ 3 seconds. LCD window will
be off after this procedure, switched-off successfully.
Setting and Selection of Channels
Press and hold “SET” key (4) to enter the mode of selecting the channels
1. While both Channel A and Channel B are available, the channel number of Channel
A shown on LCD window starts to blink. Press “Up” or “Down” FrequencySelector
keys (3) to look for your preferred channel number. Press “SET” key (4) again to
confirm the channel setting.
2. While only Channel A or Channel B is available, switch the channel number of
Channel A or Channel B directly.
3. If you don’t press any key for more than 10 seconds, it will leave the channel-
switching mode with channel number kept.
4. Channel A and Channel B cannot be set with thesamechannelnumber.
Searching for Available Channels
1. Press “Up” and “Down” FrequencySelectorkeys (3) simultaneously formorethan
1 second, andthenLCDwindowwillshow a text of withoutblinking.
ChannelAandChannelBwillbeswitchedtoavailablechannelsautomatically.
Ifthereisnoanychannelavailable, thechannelnumberswillstillremainthesame.

POWER : Press to switch on / off the power.
VOLUME : For adjusting the volume level.
STOP / EJ : Press to stop playing and press to disk ejected. Press again to insert CD.

SKIP F.WD : Press once, back to the beginning of current track. Press again to desired

PROG : To memorize the self-set tracks
To play the memory track, press PLAY / PAUSE, LCD DISPLAY shows “MEMORY”
and then start to play.
Press PROG again to cancel the program function.
USB Connector : Accepts USB.
LO : To adjust slow-speed play. Press once, the screen will indicate speed: -1,
press one time, it will be -1. It has 10 steps of speed variation.
SD Connector : Accepts SD Card and MMC Card.
NOR : Press to back to normal speed.
Press again, LCD display shows “Enter” to confirm the “PROG” function.
(pls see “PROG” section for operating program function.)
Press to play all songs in a random order. The LCD display shows “RANDOM”.
RAN / ENTER : Randomly play and confirmation bottom.
HI : To adjust high speed play. Press once, the screen will indicate speed: 1,
press one time, it will be +1. It has 10 steps of speed variation.
REP / ID3
Press once, LCD shows “REPEAT 1”, repeat all tracks.
Press twice : Repeat Folder (For MP3 format).
Repeat :

Id3 : Press ID3 button for 3 seconds, the LCD shows the information such as
the title, album, track number, file format . The information to be stored
in the file itself.

This player can accepts 12 cm discs like CD, CD-R, CD-RW , MP3 disks and USB and
SD / MMC reader playing, but please do not intend to play the CD-ROM / CD-I / CDV,
8 cm discs or computer CD.
Insert SD Card or MMC Card into the insert hole of SD/MMC CARD in the face plate.
Pull the card to get stuck with the tenon. It then finished the assembly.
When taking out the card, please push the card to the bottom and then release to
shout it out. Please don't use the force to pull it out. If so, it will damage the card
and the machine.
When inserts the disk into CD player or takes out the disk, it is necessary to let CD
player insert disk and return automatically. It is prohibited to push or take out the
disk by hand before the disk completely return from CD player, thus will cause the
machine to be broken down and unable to operate normally.
MP3:When being MP3 mode, the display panel shows MP3.
CD:When being CD mode, the display panel shoes CD.
When repeatedly playing the single track, it shows REPEAT 1.
When all songs at the folders are playing repeatedly, it shows REPEAT ALL.
When in playing mode, it display , when pausing, the panel shows .
When it appears REPEAT FOLDER, it refers to playing the tracks repeatedly from a
specific folder.
SHUFFLE : Play in a random mode.
PROGRAM : When operate program tracks.
MEMORY : When playback memory tracks.
A B:When repeat playing between A and B.
:Under the MP3 mode, it will appear the folder numbers.

VOLUME : Turning to adjust & control the desired volume.

FOLDER : To select desired folder. Press FOLDER button , each press will
go to next folder.
MODE : Selection USB, SD or CD.
Then press to start playing.
EJECT : Press to stop playing and press to disk
ejected gradually.
RAN : Press to select in random order. Press again to cancel
random playing function.
Functions on Remote Controller
Numeral 0 ~ 9 : Select numerals. Selects the track from numerals.
PROG : To memorize the self-set tracks
Press PROG. LCD display shows “PROGRAM” then use
FOLDER and SKIP buttons to select desired track.
Press ENTER button to confirm.
Repeat above step to store more tracks.
To play the memory track, press PLAY / PAUSE,

When using the remote controller, the remote controller shall be appointed to
the receiving hole of face plate. The optimal receiving distance is 3 meters.
(the available distance is 5 meters.) The batteries ( model CR2025 3V) shall
be put into the remote controller.

4. When both SD card and USB are installed, USB has higher priority to be readout.
5. Do not pull SD card out directly or it might be damaged. Just push it a bit forward
and it will be ejected.

6. Repeat / Folder Select:
a. There are 3 modes for repeat during audio playback.
To repeat a track.
To repeat all tracks in all album.
To repeat all tracks in a single album.
b. When not in playback, press (9) to select a desired folder/album with NEXT,
PREV buttons. Finally press PLAY to end the setting.
7. During playback, press VOL+ to increase volume; press VOL- to decrease volume.

Turn on the “Power Switch” (3), theLCD window will show “On” andtheBacklight
& “LED Power Indicator” (5) willbelighton.After 1 second, the LCD window will
show channel number and battery life indicator.
Turn off the “Power Switch” (3), the LCD window will show “OFF” with backlight
on, and then turn off.
After turning on the unit, the current channel is shown on the LCD window.
Press “Frequency Set” key (8) for 2 seconds to until the channel number stats to
blink, and then press “Up” or “Down” key (10) to select the channel from 1-96.
Press “Frequency Set” key (8) again to confirm the setting of channel or it will return
back to the original channel number after 10 seconds without pressing “Frequency
Set” key (8).
The transmitter and the receiver should be set on the same channel.
Press “Up” or “Down” key (10) or press “Up” and “Down” keys (10) simultaneously to
show current frequency value on the LCD window. The LCD window will go back to
normal after releasing fingers from keys.

Take out batteries when the devices won’t be operated in a long time.
DO NOT attempt to charge Alkaline battery. It will lead to battery
leakage or even explosion!
6. The performance of signal transmission is highly
involved with battery energy. Batteries with 1600
mAh (or above) in capacity are recommended.
The optional charger HDC-702 / 707 is an economy
solution for you daily use.
Notice: This function is available while only working with DR-701A
Frequency Pairing
1. After turning on the unit, the frequency pairing will be run once within 10 minutes.
TheLEDPowerIndicatorwillbelightoninblueforthreetimesandthebacklight
ofLCDwindowwillbeonaswellwhilefrequencypairingsuccessfully. While
changing toanewchannel,theLEDPowerIndicatorwillbelightoninblue
constantly.
2. Press “Frequency Set”key(8)forlessthan2secondstoenablefrequencypairing
functionagain. Duringtheprocess of frequency pairing, the LED Power Indicator
will be light on in blue blinkingly together with channel number blinkingly
shownonLCDwindow. If frequency pairing successfully, new channel numberwill
beshownonLCDwindow unblinkingly andthe LED Power Indicator will be light on
in blue constantly. If frequency pairing unsuccessfully after turning-on for 20
seconds, it will back to the original channel number with LED Power Indicator light
oninblue constantlyandthe original channel number remained without blinking.

1. Take off button cap (11) and pull off battery door (9).
2. Insert batteries correctly. (two AA 1.2 V Ni-MH rechargeable
batteries or 1.5 V Alkaline batteries) Put the button cap (11)
back.

3. This action ensures the battery door is locked and to prevent
from falling off. Insert 2 pcs of 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries or
1.2 V AA rechargeable batteries into the battery case, and then
close the battery door (9) tightly.
DO NOT use larger capacity battery.
(e.g. the Ni-MH battery with over 2300 mAh might
be stuck in battery room and can't be taken out!)

Operation and Setting

Setting of Channel
1. Press “Power Switch”key(7)for 1 secondtoturnontheunit. TheLCDwindowwill
show“On”firstandthenshowchannelnumberandbatterylifeindicator after 1~2
seconds. The LED Power Indicator will be lightoninblueaswell.
2. Under any situation, the unit can be turned off if pressing “Power Switch” key (7)
for more than 2 seconds.
After turning on the unit, the current channel isshownontheLCDwindow.
Press “Frequency Set”key(5)formorethan2secondsuntil the channel number
starts to blink, and then press “Up”or“Down”key(5)toselectthechannel
from1-96. Press“Frequency Set”key(3)againtoconfirm the setting of channel
number or it will return back to the original channel number after 10 seconds without
pressing any key.
HDC-702
The performance of signal transmission is highly involved with

constantlyandthe original channel number remainedwithoutblinking.
4. The distance forfrequencypairingshouldbelessthan3meters.

Troubleshooting
No Sound Output
Be sure transmitter and receiver stay at same channel.
Be sure volume control on transmitter and receiver are turned properly.
Be sure Master is turned properly.
Be sure Mute button is not on.
Check if transmitter and receiver stay at same frequency band.
Check if there is huge air interference nearby.
Failed to Power On
Be sure batteries are allocated and put in correct direction.
Be sure power adapter is plugged well.
Important Notes
Caution
1. DON’T operate the device in the rain or in humid circumstance to prevent
failure.
2. Prevent the device from dropping.
3. Apply factory recommended power supply to this system only. It is dangerous
and risky when employing a not qualified power.
