Important Safety Precautions
Never insert objects or spill liquid
into the display unit
Never insert anyobject into the display unit throughopenings or spill
liquid on thedisplay unit. High voltage flows inthe display unit, and
inserting an objectcan cause electric shock and/or shortinternal parts.
Outdoors Use
Do not installthis unit outdoors. If the unit is exposed to rain, it may
result in fireor electric shock. If the unit is exposed to direct sunlight,
the unit mayheat up and it may damagethe unit.
Service
Damage Requiring Service(Repair)
When the unitdisplays an abnormalcondition ,any noticeable
abnormality in thedisplay unit indicatesthat the unitneeds servicing.
Unplug the setfrom the walloutlet andAC cord, andrefer servicing to
qualified service personnelunder the followingconditions:
-When powercord or plug is damaged orfrayed
-If liquidhas been spilledinto the set
-If theset has been exposed to rainor water
-If theset has been subject to excessiveshock by being dropped, or the
cabinet has beendamaged
-If theset does not operate normally whenfollowing the operating
instructions. Adjustonly those controlsthat are specified in the
operating instructions. Improperadjustment of other controls may
result in damageand will oftenrequire extensive work by a qualified
technician to restorethe set tonormal operation.
-When theset exhibits adistinct change inperformance, it indicates
a need forservice.
Replacement Parts
In case thedisplay unit needsreplacement parts, makesure that the
service technician usesreplacement parts specifiedby the manufacturer,
or those withthe same characteristicsand performance asthe original
parts. Be surethe technician certifiesin writing thehe/she has used the
specified replacement parts.Use of unauthorizedparts can resultin fire,
electric shock and/orother hazards.
Servicing
Do not attemptto service thedisplay unit yourself.Removing covers
expose you tohigh voltage and other dangerous conditions. Request a
qualified service technicianto perform theservice.
Safety Checks
Upon completion ofservice or maintenance, request the service
technician to performsafety checks to ensure that thedisplay unit is in
proper operating condition.
