3. Fundamental principles
This section provides the whole structure of LCDprojector. You can realize optical
projection system through the following block diagram and also the integral part of
configuration. Besides, the relationship of the main board, audio & video board and
driver board on the integral schematics, circuit process and VGA signal can be realized
clearly and quickly.

3.2.1 Description of basic operation principle
qThe lamp, 250 watts metal halide, emits brilliant light to get 450 Lm.
qThe light emitted from the lamp is reflected by a parabolic reflection mirror and resulting
parallel light evenly illuminate the face of the liquid crystal panel.
qThe light flux that has passed through the integrator lens is color-separated byDM-C and
DM-G, penetrates a condenser lens and polarizer and irradiates the liquid crystal panels
R and G.
qThe light flux that has passed throughDM-G has (its optical path length from panels R
and G is different in distance therefrom) compensated by a pair of relay lenses and then
irradiates the liquid crystal panel B.
qThe lights that have passed through each liquid crystal panel are combined by aDichroic
prism, enlarged and projected onto a screen by means of a projecting lens.

3.2.3 Description
1. Front Surface It is the same as the mirror function for folding the illumination lights
Mirror
2. Integrator Lens To make the display become more uniform and also increase its
brightness.
3. Relay Lens To relay the blue light to the LCD panel so that the illumination condition
of it could be the same as the other colors.
4. DichroicMirror To separate the light into Red, Green, and Blue three primary colors for
the LCDpanels.
5. InputPolarizer The polarizers have been separated here from the LCDpanels to avoid
absorbing too much heat to deteriorate the Liquid Crystal.
6. DichroicPrism To combine the Red,Green, and Blue colors for the projection display.
7. Condenser Lens To collimate the illumination of LCDpanels with projection lens.
8. Projection Lens Image from the LCDpanel will be projected on the screen through
projection lens
9. LCDPanel Produce the image that will be projected onto the screen.
