LOXON™SET FOR EXACT®COUCH

A. GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
The product referred to in these instructions is a device used to
fix the AIO Solution 3.0 base plates from Orfit Industries onto
Varian Exact®couches.
B. PRODUCT RANGE
This product can be used with all AIO Solution 3.0 generation
base plates (38001, 38002, 38005, 38006 & 38008).
C. FIXATION TO THE BASE PLATE
Mount the Loxon™blocks to the side of the base plate using the
plastic countersunk M5 x 20 screws and a screwdriver.
Use 2 sets of the AIO 3.0 Loxon™for Exact® couch on the 3.0 AIO
Base Plates for fixation on a Varian Exact®couch top.
When only one set of Loxon™is used, combine it with a 2-pin
indexing bar. Information on these other parts can be found in
the respective ‘instructions for use’ and the Orfit website:

D. INDEXING AND REMOVING
Simply position the base plate with the Loxon™over the Exact
half-moon recesses in the couch top and push down until the
base plate is lying flush on the couch top.
Lift the base plate in order to remove of the couch top.
E. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
When using the base plate in overhang, always make sure that
there is weight on the caudal part of the base plate to avoid
tilting. When moving the patient, always move from caudal to
cranial.
It is recommended to use a combination of Loxon blocks and 2-
pin bar when using the base plate in overhang.
DO NOT EXCEED OVERHANG LINE WHEN USING THE BASE
PLATE IN OVERHANG!.
Make sure the screws are tightened so there is no play of the
base plate during setup and treatment.
Do not mount the Loxon™when positioned in the cut-outs of
the Exact® couch top.
Replace the O-rings when cracks appear.
The plastic screws can be damaged if excessive force is used
during assembly with a screwdriver.

F.2 Mechanical Properties
The Loxon™is made of POM. This provides the necessary
stability to get accurate patient positioning even under frequent
use. This product is made entirely of electrically non-
conductive, non-metallic and non-magnetic materials and is
MRI safe.
Warning: keep metal wrenches which might be supplied in the
package out of the MRI room.
F.3 Dosimetric Properties
Because of the high density of the POM, do not use in the path
of the beam.
G. STORAGE
Always store the product in a safe place to prevent it from
getting damaged.
Store the product between +10°C (50°F) and 40 °C (122°F).
H. MAINTENANCE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
This product can be cleaned and disinfected by means of soapy
water or an isopropanol based disinfectant, applied with a soft
