Front Panel
(top left: Power Indicator, iFi Connect Indicator, Photo and REC button, REC
Indicator, Control buttons)
(bottom left: SD Card slot, USB 3.0 port, Micro USB3.0 port)
Functions of Buttons
MENU: To enter MENU.
SELECT: To select
PIP: To toggle Picture in Picture
ESC: Exit from MENU
SWAP: To swap PIP screen.
Go right.
MOVE: In PIP to move the small
screen position.
Go Left
Pause:
Pauses recording/playback
Go down
Sto :
Stops all recording/playback
Go up
REC: starts and stops
recording
PHOTO: Take photo
(all functions are operable with above buttons or USB mouse)

Main Menu:
• Library – Playback, Backup and Delete files.
• Drive Info – Displays connected drive info and sets default
record path.
• Settings – Modify DVR settings
• System Info – Firmware versions, IP address and update
screen.
Library:
Drive Select – Selects an available drive to retrieve
video/photo files for playback/backup/deletion.
File Name Edit – Change name of file to user specified name.
Default file names are composed of Date/Time/Channel#
example: “MMDDYYYY_HHMMSS_CH#”

Comment Edit – Adds comments to file, to be saved as
metadata.
Back U – Select files using the “Select all” checkbox at the
top of the list, or by selecting individual files with the check
box to the left of each file. Then select the “Back Up” button.
A menu will appear to select a destination to back up your
selected files. Typically, this would be a USB thumb drive or
SD Card. Undetected drives will be greyed out.
FRONT USB 3.0 Can be connected to PC to offload files also.
Note: xternal USB hard drives may not work due to
excessive power requirements.
Delete – Permanently deletes selected files.
Deleted files are NOT recoverable once deleted.

Drive Info:
Displays available storage information.
Format – Formatting a drive will DELETE everything on it and
is NOT recoverable, once formatted.
Check box defines default file storage location. Only one
drive can be selected at a time.

• Select video channel for Inset (A) and Main (B)
• Select position (Top R, Top L, Bot R, or Bot L)
• Select Inset Size
• Select Border size and color
Time & Date
• Select time and date format
• Set time, date and time zone.
• Synchronize with GPS time (if GPS is installed)

Network
• Mode – Auto or AP (access point). Use “Auto” for
connecting to typical networks. Use “AP” for direct
connection to DVR.
• Scan – Scans for existing iFi Networks
• DVR will stream a “RTSP” stream. Stream can be
accessed via third-party video streaming software, such
as “VLC” or various IP camera viewing software.
• Stream address will be “rts ://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:855x/”
(where “xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx” is your unique IP address and
“8554/”=CH1, “8555/”=CH2, “8556/”=CH3 and
“8557/”=CH4).

Camera
• Displays detected video signals. (SD Analog, HD-TVI,
HD-AHD and HDMI)
• As ect Ratio – Allows user to force an SD video source
to 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio.
• Overlay Enable – check this box to display overlay on
top of video. You can select either the DVR overlay or
HDMI. See Also: Display Menu, Pages 9-11
• Title – If DVR overlay is enabled, you can set a custom
title to your video channel. Max 30 characters.
• Record/Sna shot Enable – Check the box for enabled
video channels. If no video on a channel, deselect to
prevent recording blank screen.
• Audio In ut Channel – This allows to connect a single
audio input to multiple video channels.
Note: All SD video will be upscaled to 720p high definition for both
live viewing and recording. If the SD video is a 4:3 aspect ratio,
black bars will be inserted on both sides of the 4:3 video. Any
selected overlay option may extend into the black bars.

GPS
• NMEA Ty e – Accepts “GPRMC”, “GPGLL”, and
“GPGGA” strings from either a USB GPS “Mouse”
antenna or from a survey grade GPS via a USB to serial
adapter cable (not included).
• Baud Rate – Select baud rate per your GPS device
settings
• Format – Display format of GPS Lat/Long
DDD°MM.MMM, DDD°MM’SS.S, DDD.DDDDD°
Dis lay
• DVR Overlay – Setup position, colors and transparency
of available fields. Choose per channel. or apply to all
channels by selecting ch# under preview screen.

• Logo Edit – Include a graphic overlay on top of video.
Graphic must be named “logo.png” and be 600 x 600
pixels maximum. Load graphic onto USB drive or SD
card root directory and insert into DVR. After inserting,
select “Edit Logo” button. Now the logo file is loaded
onto the DVR. Now you can select Logo position with
the DVR overlay menu above.
• HDMI Overlay – Select preview channel that has HDMI
overlay enabled (see Page 8, Overlay Enable). In the
example below, we are making “green” transparent.

• Select color to become transparent by either specifying
an RGB value or using the eyedropper tool to select the
desired color on screen.
• HDMI 1 Out ut – By default, HDMI2 is the main video
output. HDMI1 is adjustable. You may select to view
Quad Only, Ch1 Only, Ch2 Only, Ch3 Only, Ch4 Only, or
Duplicate HDMI2 output.
Note: HDMI1 only displays live video without menu or
playback options, unless “Duplicate” is selected.
