2.2. CAUTIONFORAC MAINSLEAD
Foryoursafety, please readthe following text carefully.
This appliance is suppliedwitha mouldedthree-pinmains plug foryoursafetyand convenience.
A 5-ampere fuse is fittedinthis plug.
Shouldthe fuse needtobe replacedplease ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 5
amperes and it is approvedbyASTA orBSI toBS1362
Check forthe ASRA mark orthe BSI mark on the bodyof the fuse.
If the plug contains a removable fuse coveryou must ensure that it is refittedwhenthe fuse is
replaced.
If you lose the fuse cover, the plug must not be useduntil a replacement coveris obtained.
A replacement fuse covercanbe purchasedfromyourlocal Panasonic Dealer.
If the fittedmouldedplug is unsuitable forthe socket outlet inyourhome thenthe fuse should
be removedand the plug cut off and disposedof safety.
There is a dangerof severe electrical shock if the cut off plug is insertedintoany13-ampere
socket.
If a newplug is tobe fittedplease observe the wiring code as shownbelow.
If inanydoubt, please consult a qualifiedelectrician.
2.2.1. Important
The wires inthis mains leadare colouredinaccordance withthe following code:
Blue Neutral
Brown Live
As the colours of the wires inthe mains leadof this appliance maynot correspond withthe
colouredmarkings identifying the terminals inyourplug, proceedas follows:
The wire whichis colouredBLUE must be connectedtothe terminal inthe plug whichis marked
withthe letterN orcolouredBLACK.
The wire whichis colouredBROWN must be connectedtothe terminal inthe plug whichis
markedwiththe letterLorcolouredRED.
Underno circumstances shouldeitherof these wires be connectedtothe earthterminal of the
three pinplug, markedwiththe letterE orthe EarthSymbol.
2.2.2. Beforeuse
remove the ConnectorCoveras follows.

2.2.3. Howtoreplace the Fuse
1. Remove the Fuse Cover with ascrewdriver.
2. Replace the fuse and attach the Fuse cover.

Whenthe MainC.B.A. is replaced, the fixedand average data must be changedbyTatsujinkit
according tothe Movie Camera’s suffix.
Then, confirm and/oradjust the VTR and Camera section one byone.

4. PREPARATION FOR ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENT
1. Unlock the locking tab and remove the EVRconnector as shown
in Fig. E1 .
2. Then connect the following cables as shownin Fig. E2 .

5. SERVICE MODE
5.1. New Error Code Display
Conventionally, the errorcode has beendisplayedautomaticallyon the EVForLCD Monitor
whenundesirable conditions have occurred. Withthe NewErrorCode Display, the errorcode
has not beendisplayedautomaticallyas follows except some errorcodesF31(Data
Transmission Error), U10(Dew) and U11(HeadClogging).
Note:
1. The onlysome error codes F31, U10 and U11 has displayed
automaticallyon the EVF or LCD monitor as usual.
2. The Power LEDalso has been flashed for 1min. when undesirable
condetions have occurred.(See below)
5.2. Viewing Error Code
Whendisplaying the ErrorCode on the EVForLCD Monitor, pushthe FADE/STOP and REC
START/PAUSE buttons simultaneouslyformore 3 seconds.

When the cassette tape isinserted, thisoperation will not be
