and maintenance ofthe product. Readthe following safetyinstructions before operatingthe display. Keep these

Television Antenna Connection Protection
External Television Antenna Grounding
If an outsideantenna or cablesystem is tobe connected tothe LCD TV,make sure thatthe antenna orcable system is
electrically grounded toprovide some protectionagainst voltage surgesand static charges.Article 810 of the National
Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPSA 70,provides information withregard to propergrounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding ofthe lead-in wireto an antennadischarge unit, sizeof the grounding conductors, location of
antenna discharge unit,connection to groundingelectrodes, and requirementsof the groundingelectrode.
Lightning Protection
For added protectionof the LCDTV duringa lightning stormor when itis left unattendedor unused forlong periods of
time, unplug theLCD TV from the walloutlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
Power Lines
Do not locatethe antenna near overhead light or power circuits, or where it could fall into such power lines or circuits.

Only the markedpower source can be used forthe
product. Anypower source other than the specifiedone
may cause fireor electric shock.
Do not touchthe power cord during thunderstorms. To
avoid electric shock,avoid handling the power cord
during electrical storms.
Unplug the unitduring a lightning storm or whenit will not
be used fora long period of time. Thiswill protect the KTC
LCD TV fromdamage due to power surges.
Do not attemptto repair or service the productyourself.
Opening or removingthe back cover may expose youto
high voltages, therisk of electric shock, and other
hazards. If repairis required, please contact your dealer
and refer allservicing to qualified service personnel.
Keep the productaway from moisture. Do not exposethis
appliance to rainor moisture. If water penetrates intothe
product, unplug thepower cord and contact your dealer.
Continuous use inthis case may result in fireor electric
shock.
Do not usethe product if any abnormality occurs.If any
smoke or odorbecomes apparent, unplug the power cord
and contact yourdealer immediately. Do not try to repair
the product yourself.
Avoid using droppedor damaged appliances. If the
product is droppedand the housing is damaged, the
internal components mayfunction abnormally. Unplug
the power cordimmediately and contact your dealer for
repair. Continueduse of the product may causefire or
electric shock.
Do not installthe product in an area withheavy dust or
high humidity.Operating the product in environments
with heavy dustor high humidity may cause fireor
electric shock.
Hold the powerconnector when removing the power
cable. Pulling thepower cable itself may damage the
wires inside thecable and cause fire or electricshocks.
When the productwill not be used for anextended period
of time, unplugthe power connector.
Toavoid risk of electric shock, donot touch the connector
with wet hands.
Insert batteries inaccordance with instructions while
using the remotecontrol. Incorrect polarities may cause
damage and leakageof the batteries, operator injury and
contamination the remotecontrol.
If any ofthe following occurs please contact thedealer:
oThe power connectorfails or frays.
oLiquid sprays orany object drops into the
KTC LCD TV.
oThe Display isexposed to rain or other
moisture.
oThe Display isdropped or damaged in
any way.
oThe performance ofthe Display changes
substantially.

Toavoid the risk of electric shockor component damage,
switch off thepower before connecting other components
to the KTC(PANTV1512) LCD TV.
Unplug the powercord before cleaning the KTC LCDTV.
Please use theincluded custom bezel cleaning cloth for
cleaning the bezelof the KTC LCD TV only. Do notuse a
liquid or aspray cleaner for cleaning the product.Do not
use abrasive cleaners.
Always use theaccessories recommended by the
manufacturer to insurecompatibility.
When moving theKTC LCD TV from an area of low
temperature to anarea of high temperature,
condensation may formon the housing. Do not turnon the
KTC LCD TVimmediately after this to avoid causing fire,
electric shock orcomponent damage.
Do not placethe KTC LCD TV on anunstable cart, stand,
or table. Ifthe KTC LCD TV falls, itcan injure a person
and cause seriousdamage to the appliance. Use onlya
cart or standrecommended by the manufacturer or sold
with the KTCLCD TV.
Any heat sourceshould maintain a distance of atleast 5
feet away fromthe KTC LCD TV,i.e. radiator, heater,
oven, amplifier etc.Do not install the product tooclose to
anything that producessmoke or moisture. Operating the
product close tosmoke or moisture may cause fireor
electric shock.
Slots and openingsin the back and bottom ofthe cabinet
are provided forventilation. To ensure reliable operation
of the KTCLCD TV and to protect it from overheating, be
sure these openingsare not blocked or covered. Donot
place the KTCLCD TV in a bookcase or cabinet unless
proper ventilation isprovided.
Never push anyobject into the ventilation slots ofthe
KTC LCD TV. Do notplace any objects on the top of the
Product. It couldshort circuit parts causing a fireor
electric shock. Neverspill liquids on the KTC LCDTV.
Do not usethe KTC LCD TV in aportrait format (by
rotating 90 degrees)under high temperature environment
(25 C orhigher), since this would retard heatdissipation
and would eventuallydamage the TV.
The KTC LCDTV should be operated only from the type of
power source indicatedon the label. If you arenot sure of
the type ofpower supplied to your home, consultyour
dealer or localpower company.
The power cablemust be replaced when using different
voltage from thatspecified in the User Manual. Formore
information, contact yourdealer.
The KTC LCDTV is equipped with a three-pronged
grounded plug, aplug with a third (grounding) pin.This
plug will fitonly into a grounded power outletas a safety
feature. If youroutlet does not accommodate the three-
wire plug, havean electrician install the correct outlet,or
use an adapterto ground the appliance safely.Do not
defeat the safetypurpose of the grounded plug.
Do not overloadpower strips and extension cords.
Overloading can resultin fire or electric shock.
The wall socketshould be installed near the equipment
and should beeasily accessible.
