We recommend you register your KTC HDTV with the enclosedregistration card andmail it in. For peace of
mind and toprotect your investmentbeyond the standardwarranty, offers a two year extendedwarranty
service for yourTV. This plan gives additional coverage once your standard warranty period runs out.
Important Safety Precautions
Always follow thesebasic safety precautions when using your Kitchen Technology Center (KTC)product.
This product hasbeen engineered and manufactured with the highest priority on safety. However,
improper use canresult in electricshock and / or fire. In order to prevent potential danger, please observe
the following instructionswhen installing, operating and cleaning the product. To ensure yoursafety and
prolong the servicelife of yourLiquid Crystal Television, please read the following precautions carefully
before using theproduct.
Electricity is usedto perform manyuseful functions, but it can also cause personal injuries and property
damage if improperly handled.
Warning: Do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
Warning: Do not remove the cover. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug
is damaged, liquidhas been spilledor objects havefallen into theapparatus, the apparatus
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
The KTC is for indoor use only.
Unplug the KTC before performing care and maintenance.
Do not blockthe ventilation holeson the backof the KTC at any time.
Do not installnear any heatsources such asradiators, heat registers,stoves, or otherapparatus
(including amplifiers) thatproduce heat.
Keep your MultimediaKTC out of direct sunlight and heat sources.
Protect the power cord. Route power cords so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by

Only use theAC adapterincluded with theKTC. Using anyother power adapterwill void yourwarranty.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two
blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding
prong. The wide blade and the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plugdoes not
fit into youroutlet, consult anelectrician for replacementof the obsoleteoutlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus
Only use attachments/accessoriesspecified by themanufacturer.
Use only withthe cart, stand,tripod, bracket, ortable specified bythe manufacturer,or sold withthe
apparatus. When acart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid
injury from tip-over.
Unplug the power cord from the outlet when the unit is not in use.
Cleaning the Kitchen Technology Center
1. The power cable has to be removed from the socket before cleaning the TV.
2. Do not usevolatile solvent (alcohol,rosin, and toluene)to clean theTV. These types of chemicals
might damage thehousing and the LCD glass.
Cleaning the bezeland remote control
1. Use a 100% cotton cloth or micro-fiber cloth for cleaning.
2. If the remotecontrol or bezelis dirty tothe point whereyou cannot simply dry wipe it, please lightly
dampen the wipingmaterial with clean water and wipe again. Wipe thedisplay with a dry micro-fiber
cloth or 100%cotton cloth afterwards.
Please Note:
Make sure youwring the waterout of the cloth beforecleaning the bezelor remote inorder to prevent
water from penetrating into theelectronics.
Cleaning the Screen
Treat the screen gently, it is made of glass and can break easily. To clean fingerprintsor dusts fromthe LCD
screen, we recommendusing a soft,non-abrasive cloth such as a camera lens cloth to clean the LCD
screen. If youuse a commercialLCD Cleaning Kit, do not apply the cleaning liquid directly to the LCD
screen. Clean the LCD screen with cleaning cloth moistened with the liquid.

If an outsideantenna or cablesystem is tobe connected tothe LCD TV,make sure thatthe antenna orcable system is
electrically grounded toprovide some protectionagainst voltage surgesand static charges.Article 810 of the National
Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPSA 70,provides information withregard to propergrounding of the mast and supporting
structure, grounding ofthe lead-in wireto an antennadischarge unit, sizeof the grounding conductors, location of
antenna discharge unit,connection to groundingelectrodes, and requirementsof the groundingelectrode.
Lightning Protection
For added protectionof the LCDTV duringa lightning stormor when itis left unattendedor unused forlong periods of
time, unplug theLCD TV from the walloutlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.
Power Lines
Do not locatethe antenna near overhead light or power circuits, or where it could fall into such power lines or circuits.

Only the markedpower source can be used forthe
product. Anypower source other than the specifiedone
may cause fireor electric shock.
Do not touchthe power cord during thunderstorms. To
avoid electric shock,avoid handling the power cord
during electrical storms.
Unplug the unitduring a lightning storm or whenit will not
be used fora long period of time. Thiswill protect the KTC
LCD TV fromdamage due to power surges.
Do not attemptto repair or service the productyourself.
Opening or removingthe back cover may expose youto
high voltages, therisk of electric shock, and other
hazards. If repairis required, please contact your dealer
and refer allservicing to qualified service personnel.
Keep the productaway from moisture. Do not exposethis
appliance to rainor moisture. If water penetrates intothe
product, unplug thepower cord and contact your dealer.
Continuous use inthis case may result in fireor electric
shock.
Do not usethe product if any abnormality occurs.If any
smoke or odorbecomes apparent, unplug the power cord
and contact yourdealer immediately. Do not try to repair
the product yourself.
Avoid using droppedor damaged appliances. If the
product is droppedand the housing is damaged, the
internal components mayfunction abnormally. Unplug
the power cordimmediately and contact your dealer for
repair. Continueduse of the product may causefire or

Do not installthe product in an area withheavy dust or
high humidity.Operating the product in environments

Hold the powerconnector when removing the power
cable. Pulling thepower cable itself may damage the
wires inside thecable and cause fire or electricshocks.
When the productwill not be used for anextended period
of time, unplugthe power connector.
Toavoid risk of electric shock, donot touch the connector

Insert batteries inaccordance with instructions while
using the remotecontrol. Incorrect polarities may cause
damage and leakageof the batteries, operator injury and

Toavoid the risk of electric shockor component damage,
switch off thepower before connecting other components
to the KTC(PANTV1512) LCD TV.
Unplug the powercord before cleaning the KTC LCDTV.
Please use theincluded custom bezel cleaning cloth for
cleaning the bezelof the KTC LCD TV only. Do notuse a
liquid or aspray cleaner for cleaning the product.Do not
use abrasive cleaners.
Always use theaccessories recommended by the
manufacturer to insurecompatibility.
When moving theKTC LCD TV from an area of low
temperature to anarea of high temperature,
condensation may formon the housing. Do not turnon the
KTC LCD TVimmediately after this to avoid causing fire,
electric shock orcomponent damage.
Do not placethe KTC LCD TV on anunstable cart, stand,
or table. Ifthe KTC LCD TV falls, itcan injure a person
and cause seriousdamage to the appliance. Use onlya
cart or standrecommended by the manufacturer or sold
with the KTCLCD TV.
Any heat sourceshould maintain a distance of atleast 5
feet away fromthe KTC LCD TV,i.e. radiator, heater,
oven, amplifier etc.Do not install the product tooclose to
anything that producessmoke or moisture. Operating the
product close tosmoke or moisture may cause fireor
electric shock.
Slots and openingsin the back and bottom ofthe cabinet
are provided forventilation. To ensure reliable operation
of the KTCLCD TV and to protect it from overheating, be
sure these openingsare not blocked or covered. Donot
place the KTCLCD TV in a bookcase or cabinet unless
proper ventilation isprovided.
Never push anyobject into the ventilation slots ofthe
KTC LCD TV. Do notplace any objects on the top of the
Product. It couldshort circuit parts causing a fireor
electric shock. Neverspill liquids on the KTC LCDTV.
Do not usethe KTC LCD TV in aportrait format (by
rotating 90 degrees)under high temperature environment
(25 C orhigher), since this would retard heatdissipation
and would eventuallydamage the TV.
The KTC LCDTV should be operated only from the type of
power source indicatedon the label. If you arenot sure of
the type ofpower supplied to your home, consultyour
dealer or localpower company.
The power cablemust be replaced when using different
voltage from thatspecified in the User Manual. Formore
information, contact yourdealer.
The KTC LCDTV is equipped with a three-pronged
grounded plug, aplug with a third (grounding) pin.This
plug will fitonly into a grounded power outletas a safety
feature. If youroutlet does not accommodate the three-
wire plug, havean electrician install the correct outlet,or
use an adapterto ground the appliance safely.Do not
defeat the safetypurpose of the grounded plug.
Do not overloadpower strips and extension cords.
Overloading can resultin fire or electric shock.
The wall socketshould be installed near the equipment
and should beeasily accessible.

Attaching the TV Stand
1. Please place the stand on a flat surface (i.e. Table).
2. Hold the TV directly 90 degrees above the stand.
3. Connect the TV to the stand by inserting the TV into the stand.

favorite Recipes, Cookbooksand other RSSinformation from Internet, watch your favorite TV shows, or
display your digitalphotos directly fromyour memory card,no computer is necessary. Simply insert a
memory card intothe Kitchen Technology Center, and turn on the power.You'llbe treated toa slideshow of
your photos. It'sas easy as that. You can also display delicious recipes, individual photos, watch TV
programs, play video clips, and play background music with your slide show.
The Kitchen Technology Center includes these key features:
Displays TV programs, Videos from DVD, SatelliteSet-top box, or Cable box with HDTV tuner.

Installation
Please read theuser manual carefully before performing the installation. The power consumption of the
display is approximately50 watts. Please use the power cord designated for the product. When an
extension cord isrequired, use onewith the correct power rating. The cord must be grounded and the
grounding feature mustnot be defeated.The product should be installed on a flat surface to avoid tipping.
Space should bemaintained between the back of the product and the wall for proper ventilation. If you
would like tomount the TV onto the wall or kitchen under cabinet, please see page 10 for additional
information. Please ensurethe product is installed with the screen in landscape orientation. Any 90
clockwise or counterclockwise installation may induce poor ventilation and successive component damage.

Preparation For Under Cabinet Mounting
1. Place the KTC on a flat surface with cloth so the bezel does not get scratched. Unscrew the 3 screws
that lock the stand to the monitor.
2. Once the 3 screws are removed, the stand will come off.

4. If you would like to mount the under a kitchen cabinet, please use the bundled Wall Mount Kit and
refer to theInstallation and assembly instruction that came with Wall Mount Kit.

Setting Up the Kitchen Technology Center
The Kitchen Technology Center is easy to set up. Just follow these steps:
1. Plug the AC power adapter into the Kitchen Technology Center and into a wall outlet.
2. Press the POWER button or remote POWER button, then you can enjoy the KTC now.
Power Button
The power button is located in the middle of the speaker bar, on the bottom of the screen. The power button
also has anindicator light that turns red when the TV is in theoff state and turns bluewith the TV is on
The remote controlsensor is also located in the power button.
Side Control Buttons
The following descriptions are for side control buttons from top to bottom.
1. SOURCE This button displays all the different sources of the TV. The sequence is shown asfollows:
TV,AV, S-Video, Component, DPF(KTC), HDMI, and PC. Use CH(+)/CH(-) scroll up and down then
press ENTER to confirm.
2. VOL (+) This button increases the TV's volume. If the OSD menu is active, pressing this button will
move the selectionto the right.
3. VOL (-) This button decreases the TV's volume. If the OSD menu is active, pressing this button will
move the selectionto the left.
4. CH (+) This button changes the TV channel downward. If the OSD menu is active, this button functions
as up control for the menu.
5. CH (-) This button changes the TV channel upward. If the OSD menu is active, this button functions as
control for the menu.
6. MENU This button activates the On Screen Display (OSD) menu. If a sub-menu is active, pressing this
button will return selection to the previous menu level.
7. Enter Select or confirm an action.
8. Exit Exit the TV menu.

The following descriptions are for connections from left to right.
1. YPbPr This connection portis for DVD players, orsatellite / cable set-top boxes that use
component cables. Fromright to left, connect green, blue, andred for video, and thenconnect
white for left channel audio, and red for right channel audio.
2. TV This connection isfor digital oranalog cable withoutthe cable boxor over-the-air wave
antennas. The tuner is a hybrid tuner that tunes to both analog and digital channels. This
connection uses coaxialRF cable. For over-the airwave digital stations please check
http://www.antennaweb.org.
3. AV Composite connects to devices that use composite video cables such as VCR or camcorder
or video gameconsoles. The S-Video connector is associated withAV's video. Please connect
the video portionwith either theyellow connector orthe S-Video connector. Do NOT connect
both video connectors at the same time, because the audio connection is shared.
4. VGA - This connection port connects to a PC for video using VGAcable. Be sure to connect your
audio cable to the VGA Stereo input if you want sound out of VGA video source.
5. VGA STEREO INPUT - This connection port is for people who want to provide audio to the TV
when using aPC. The sources use 3.5mm mini-jack audio cable to provide audio for PCs with
VGA connection.
6. HDMI HDMI connects to devices that use HDMI cable, such as Blu-ray or HD DVD player, or HD
cable / satelliteset-top box. This connection port receives pure digital audio and high definition
signal through one single cable. This port also can accept a HDCP video device for video.
7. DC - This connection is forproviding electricity to the TV. This connection connects to an AC
power adapter which connects to the AC power source.
Please Note:
This TV features a power saving function which will turn off the TV automatically after5 minutes of
idling on a connection with no signal. This feature is present on all connection.
Using the KTC Remote Control
You can use all of the Kitchen Technology Center's (KTC) features with either the side buttons or using the
remote control.
The remote controlis basically divided into two areas. The top half of theremote controls the TV functions
and the bottomhalf controls thedigital photo frame functions.

Input Connectors
Installing Batteries on the Remote Control
Remove the batterycover and Inserttwo AAAbatteries into the remote control. Make sure thatyou match
the (+) and(-) symbols onthe batteries with the (+) and (-) symbols inside the battery compartment and re-
attach the battery cover.
1. POWER - Turns theTV on or off.
2. 0~9 Sets the channels.
3. Dash (-) Inserts the dash for selecting
digital channels directly.
4. MUTE Mutes the TV's audio.

5. CH(+)/ CH(-)/ VOL(-)/ VOL(+) Selects and
moves the item on screen. CH(+) / CH(-) also
functions as channel up and down. VOL(-)/
VOL(+) also functions as volume up and
down.
On KTC source CH(+) / CH(-) also functions
as photo Select and Unselect.
6. EXIT Exits the TV menu.
7. EXIT Exits the DPF menu or return to the
previous screen or cancel the current
operation.
8. / / / On DPF source, moves the item
or menu highlightup, down, to the left or to
the right.
9. ZOOM On DPF source, zoom the current
view of the photo. In the zooming state,
left/right and up/down keys are used for
panning and tilting of the photo
10. ROTATE On DPF source, rotate picture by
90 degrees
11. SLEEP Reserved (Not currently used)
12. FAV.CH Display your favorite channel list
13. CC Cycles between different closed
captioning modes.
14. MTS Selects stereo, mono, or second audio
programming.
15. SOURCE Display the different inputs of the
TV. Use CH(+)/CH(-) scroll up and down then
press ENTER to confirm.
16. RETURN Returns to the previous channel.
17. MENU Opens / Exits the TV menu.
18. ENTER OSD menu and changing channels
in conjunction withnumber buttons.
19. DISPLAY Indicate input information, such
as resolution, vertical refresh rate and
channels
20. SETUP Display the on-screen setup menu
screens, active in DPF Mode only
21. ENTER Select or confirman action, active
in DPF Mode only

Connecting Power to the TV
1. Obtain the AC adapter the AC power cable and connect them to each other.
2. Connect the AC adapter to the back of the TV.
Connection Suggestions
If You Have Digital Cable without Cable Box or Antenna
1. Make sure the power of KTC LCD HDTV is turned off.
2. Connect the Coaxial RF cable from your antenna or digital cable to the TV port on theback of your KTC
LCD HDTV.
3. Turn on KTC LCD HDTV.
4. Select TV (Air) for antenna or TV (Cable) fordigital cable from either your remote control's source
button or sourcebutton on theTV.
5. Use the On Screen Display to scan for channels.
Please Note :
Not all broadcastsare in HighDefinition (HD). Pleaserefer to yourlocal broadcasting stations for
more information.
The KTC LCD HDTV's tuner is designedfor HDTV therefore requires a stronger signal than normal Tvs.
If you cannot achieve thatsignal level with your antenna or cable, your KTC LCD HDTV might lose
picture or sound.
Connecting DVD Player with Component YPbPr
1. Make sure the power of KTC LCD HDTV and your DVD player is turned off.
2. Obtain a component cable. Connect the green color connector to both your DVD player and YPbPr's
green connector porton the backof your KTCLCD HDTV.
3. Connect the blue color connector to both your DVD player and YPbPr's blue connectorport on the back
of your KTCLCD HDTV.
4. Connect the red color connector to both your DVD player and YPbPr's red connectorport on the back
of your KTCLCD HDTV.
5. Obtain a RCAaudio cable. Connect the white color connector to both your DVD player and YPbPr's
white connector porton the backof your KTCLCD HDTV.
6. Connect the red color connector to both your DVD player and YPbPr's red connectorport on the back
Of your KTCLCD HDTV.
7. Turn on the KTC LCD HDTV and your DVD player.
8. Use the remote control's source button or the source button on the TV to switch toYPbPr.
Please Note :
Please reference theDVD player's manual as well, to make sure the DVD player is configured to output
correctly to theTV.

Connecting DVD player with S-Video
1. Make sure the power of KTC LCD HDTV and your DVD player is turned off.
2. Obtain an S-Video cable. Connect the S-Video connector to both your DVD player and AV's S-Video
connector port onthe back ofyour KTC LCDHDTV.
3. Obtain a RCAaudio cable. Connect the white color connector to both your DVD player and AV's white
connector port onthe back ofyour KTC LCDHDTV.
4. Connect the red color connector to both your DVD player and AV's red connector port on the back of
your KTC LCDHDTV.
5. Turn on the KTC LCD HDTV and your DVD player.
6. Use the remote control's source button or the source button on the TV to switch to S-Video.
Please Note :
Make sure theyellow connector inthe same group is not connected. You can only connect either the
S-Video port or the YellowVideo connector port. DO NOT CONNECT BOTH.
Please reference theDVD player's manual as well, to make sure the DVD player is configured to
output correctly tothe TV.
Connecting DVD player with Composite
1. Make sure the power of KTC LCD HDTV and your DVD player is turned off.
2. Obtain a Yellow Video cable. Connect the YellowVideo connector to both yourDVD player and AV's
YellowVideo connector port on the back of your KTC LCD HDTV.

Connecting to a PC with VGA and 3.5 mm minijack
1. Make sure the power of KTC LCD HDTV and your PC is turned off.
2. Obtain a 15-pin D-Sub VGA cable; connect to the VGA output of your PC and the other end to the VGA
port on theback of yourKTC LCD HDTV.
3. Obtain a 3.5 mm Mini-jack, connect to the audio out of your PC and the other end to the VGA Stereo
Input port.
4. Turn on the power of the KTC LCD HDTV and your PC.
5. Use the remote control's source button or the source button on the TV to switch to VGA.
6. Change your PC resolution to 1280x768 at 60hz refresh rate.
7. Press MENU to use the OSD's SETUP option.
8. Under the SETUP option select PC function.
9. Under PC function use AUTO ADJUST to adjust the screen, AUTO COLOR to adjust the color and use
PREF. RESOLUTION to select 1280x768 at 60hz.
Please Note :
For the bestresults, please setyour PC resolution to 1280x768 at 60 Hz. This is because the TV
resolution is 1366x768 but PC resolution does not support this mode so we suggest use 1280x768 as
the closest resolution.Please refer tothe PC orgraphic card's manual for further instructions on how
to set your resolution and refresh rate.
Please refer toyour PC manualfor VGAoutput requirements of the VGA card. We suggestion the VGA
card must have a coilon the both sides of VGA connected heads.
The VGAport of the TV features a powersaving mode which will automatically turn off the TV,if there's

Starting up the KTC LCD HDTV
1. Make sure your power cable is connected and the standby red light in the front of the TV is litup.
2. Check all your connection cables on the back of your TV and also yourAV devices. Make

Tuner Setup
After you haveconnected an antennaor cable (without a cable box) to your TV's tuner, you will need to go
through a setupprocess in orderto watch theTV. When you turn on the TV for the first time, follow through

The KTC LCDHDTV's tuner isdesigned for HDTV therefore requires a stronger signal than normal
TVs. If you cannot achieve that signal level with your antenna or cable, your KTC LCD HDTV might
lose picture or sound.

TV,AV, S-Video, Component, DPF(KTC), HDMI, and PC. Use CH(+)/CH(-) scroll up and down then
press ENTER to confirm.
2. VOL(+) This button increasesthe TV's volume. If a OSD menu is active, pressing this button will
move the selectionto the right.
3. VOL(-) This button decreasesthe TV's volume. If a OSD menu is active, pressing this button will
move the selectionto the left.
4. CH (+) This button changes the TV channel downward. If the OSD menu is active, this button
functions as up control for the menu.

6. MENU This button activates the On Screen Display (OSD) menu. If a sub-menu is active, pressing
this button will return selection to the previous menu level.

iv. OPTION This opens upadjustments for thetype of digitalcaption style you want.

2. FONT STYLE This allows you to select different font styles.

TV Option
This option choosesvarious antenna andcable functions. Extrafunctions include limited range scanning,
and channel skipping.

Detailed Explanations
Aspect Ratio Explained
The KTC isa widescreen TV, but mostTV programs arestill broadcasting in a square format, therefore the
TV is offering two ways of viewing videos. There are mainly two typesof signal format, 16:9 (KTC's 16:9 is
named Normal) and 4:3.Simply use theASPECT button on the TV to cycle between bothmodes and other
extra modes.
1. Normal
This mode will stretch the picture to a widescreen ratio. If you have a perfect 16:9 ratio picture you will
not see anyblack bars. Ifyou are watching a widescreen movie in 1.85:1 or 2.35:1 ratio, you will still get
black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.
2. 4:3
Most analog TV channels have 4:3 signal formats. If the original 4:3 aspect ratio (1.33:1 source) is
preserved, black barsare added tothe left and right of the display image. This aspect keeps that
aspect ratio and shows you the black bars on the side.
3. Zoom
When watching a4:3 aspect ratioTV or movie, this mode zooms in to cut off most of the black bars on
the side while preserving the 16:9 ratio. Because of the zoom, the top and bottom are cut off as well.
4. Cinema
When watching amovie even withthis widescreen TV you will still get some black bars on the top and
bottom. This aspect ratio will zooms in to cut off most of the black bars on the top and bottom.
Because of the zoom, the left and right will suffer cut off as well.

General Operation
Toblock channels you don't want your children to watch, you can filter them with the ratings function. MPAA
lets you controlratings for movies. For regular TV programs youcan use USTV settings. USTV settings lets
you filter whatcontent you want at each age level, TV-Y, to TV-MA(refer to definitions below). Below are
definitions for each setting.
USTV Rating
TV-Y (USTV) For All Children
This program isdesigned to be appropriate for all children. Whether animated or live-action, the themes
and elements in this program are specifically designed for a very young audience, including children from
ages 2-6. This program is not expected to frighten younger children.
TV-Y7 (USTV) Directed to Older Children
This program isdesigned for children age 7 and above. It may be more appropriate for childrenwho have
acquired the developmentalskills needed to distinguish between make-believe and reality. Themes and
elements in this program may include mild fantasy violence or comedic violence, or may frighten children
under the ageof 7. Therefore, parents may want to consider the suitability of this program for their very
young children. Note:For those programs where fantasy violence may be more intense ormore combative

TV-G (USTV) General Audience
Most parents wouldfind this program suitable for all ages. Although this rating does not signify a program

2. Press the VOL(+) button on the remote control. You will see a heart on the INFO banner denoting
that this channelis in the favorites list.

2. Press the button on theremote control. You will then see the heart disappear on the INFO

Using the KTC PanTouch and Remote Control
You can use all of the KTC features with either the PanTouch buttons or using the remote control.
Use the PanTouch Buttons
This KTC comeswith PanTouch Technology, simply touching thetop right inside edges of the frame,
activates an icondriven menu thatgives you theflexibility of usingthe KTC withouthaving to use the
remote control. The features of the PanTouch is designed to provide the same functions as the remote
control except nowit is convenientlyhidden away inthe top rightinside edge ofthe screen, waitingto be
activated.
The touch sensorsare located inthe top rightcorner behind theMylar Decorative Sheetand they are
activated by touchingthe top right corner of the inside edge of the KTC. You do not have to press the icons;
just touch the edge of the KTC to activate the icon buttons.
The remote controlis disabled whenthe PanTouch Interface is active. If the PanTouch Interface is dormant
for approximately 3seconds, it automaticallyshuts off.

Using the Kitchen Technology Center's Screens
You access the Kitchen Technology Center's functions from either the PanTouch interface or remote control.
Toactivate from PanTouch interface, the PanTouch Point activation area is located at the upper right side
of the frame.

The Cookbook and Favorite Recipes Thumbnails Screen
1. From the Home screen, choose the RECIPIE function and press ENTER. Toreturn to the HOME
screen touch theHOME icon onthe KTC. On the remote control press EXIT button.
2. Use the Left(BACK) and Right (FWD) buttons on the Remote Control until the desired cookbook is
highlighted. The cookbook name is displayed at the upper left of the screen. Next press the ENTER
button to view that cookbook.
3. The favorites folders are also located on this screen and the folders are categorized as Hors D'oeuvres,
soups, salads, Entr es, Desserts andOthers (note: the category namesare not changeable).
4. Toview a favorite folder, select it from the thumbnail screen and press the ENTER button on the

You can select any recipes from the cookbook or a favorites category
Using the Remote- Use the arrow keys to select the recipe andthen press the CH+ button to select it and
the CH- button to deselect a recipe.
Using the Touch Interface - Activate the touch interface by touching the top right corner of the frame. Then
touch the SELECT icon.

Todelete a recipecard(s) from afavorite's category.
Using the Remote- Press the SETUP button, select theDelete Photo menu item and press the ENTER
button.
Using the Touch Interface - Activate the touch interface by touching the top right corner of the frame.
Then touch theDELETE SEL icon, and then touch the YES icon to confirm the deletion.
Moving a recipe
Say, you like to move the Grapefruit and Avocado Salad with Ginger-Cassis Dressing recipe card from
the Hors D'oeuvrecategory to the Salads category.
Using the Touch Interface - Choose the MOVE SELECT icon, then select the category tomove the recipeto
and touch the select icon.
Display Photos and Slideshows
The Photo Thumbnails Screen
This screen givesyou the thumbnailview of all photos in the selected memory source. Use this screen to
move (up, down, left and right or page up or page down if continue scroll up or down to next thumbnail page)
to select asingle or multiplephotos to view. After selecting multiple photos you can view the selected
photos by touching the VIEW icon on the touch interface.
Toview all photosin a slideshow, you can either press the slideshow button on the remote control or on the
touch interface; touch the VIEW then PLAY icons.
Tocopy selected orall photos froma memory cardto built-in memory using the touch interface, touch the
COPY SELor COPY ALL icons respectively. Using the remote control, press the SETUP button, scroll to
Copy Photo andselect Copy Selector CopyAll options.
Displaying a Single Photo
You can choose a single photo to display, without a Slideshow:
1. From the Homescreen, choose Photos. To Go Back press the PanTouch HOME button.
Use the arrowkeys on the Remote Control to navigate to the desired photo. The photo nameis
displayed at theupper left of the screen. The page numberand total page number indicates which
thumbnail page you are on and how many screens of photos are in the current memory source.
2. Toview a single picture ( single picture mode), highlight a photo in the Thumbnail Screen and press
ENTER on theremote control or use the touch interface's VIEW button.
3. In single picture mode you can use the arrow keys to forward and reverse the pictures you are viewing
in single picture mode.
4. SLIDER function: slidingyour finger across the SLIDER BAR will also forward and reverse the photos
you are viewing in single picture mode.
5. Toreturn to the Thumbnail screen, press the EXITon the remote or the touch interface's BACK button.

Rotating a Photo
You can rotate a displayed photo by pressing the ROTATE button on theremote or the touch interface's
ROTATE icon. The photo will be rotated by 90 degrees clockwise in each press of the ROTATE button.
Enlarging a Photo
You can magnify (zoom and pan) a displayed photo by pressing the ZOOM button on the remote control.
The photo ismagnified in sizeeach time youpress the ZOOM button, until it returnsto the normal size.
While the photois in enlarged,you can usethe arrow buttonsto move panaround the photo.
Tozoom using thetouch interface, activate the touch user interface. From the HOME screen, select
PHOTO and touch the ENTER icon toselect it, then select theZOOM icon.
Starting and Customizing Slideshows
The Kitchen Technology Center can play all of the photos on the selected memory source in the slideshow
mode, or you can select specific photos for the customized slideshow. You can also add music that will play
during a slideshow.
Play a Slideshow of All Photos
Using the remote control -
With the Thumbnails Screen displayed, press the SLIDESHOW button on the Remote Control or the SETUP,
STARTSLIDESHOW and Slideshow All for the slideshow of all photos in the selected memory.
Using the Touch Interface -
With the Thumbnail Screen displayed, touch the PanTouch point to activate the sensor then touch the VIEW
icon to playa slideshow of all photos.
Tostop the slideshow and return to the Thumbnails screen, press the BACK button twice.
Play a Slideshow of Selected Photos Only
Use remote control to create a custom slideshow:
1. With the Thumbnails Screen displayed, use the arrow buttons to highlight a photo.
2. Press CH+ key to select the photo or CH- key to de-select it (these functional buttons only exist on your
remote).

3. Continue selecting or de-selecting photos in the same manner.
4. When all desiredphotos are selected, press SETUP on the RemoteControl to open a Setup Menu.
5. Select Start Slideshow and choose Slideshow Selected in the submenu to start the custom slideshow.
Use PanTouch to create a custom slideshow:
1. With the Thumbnails Screen displayed, use the arrow buttons to highlight a photo.
2. Press SELECT as choosing for the custom slideshow. Press UN-SELECT(same button) again to un-
select. A check mark is displayed at the PanTouch point of the selected photo.
3. Continue selecting orde-selecting photos in the same manner as paging down to next thumbnail pages.
4. When all desiredphotos are selected, press PL Y to start your custom slideshow.
Playing Music with the Slideshow
To play background music with the slideshow viewing, copy MP3 files onto the same memory card as your
photos. The music will play as the slideshow plays. See Copying Files from a Computer section for details
on copying files.You can also choose a music file to play without a slideshow. Just select it from the Music
screen.
Note: Music files must be standard MP3 format and because of music copyrights, they must be authorized
to be copy to KTC or from licensed music download services that can be played on KTC.
Tostop the music,press the SLIDE SETUP button and press MUSICOFF button. Press MUSIC ON button
again to turnon the music.
Control the Volume
Use the PanTouch or Remote Control to adjust the volume on the Kitchen TechnologyCenter when playing
MP3 files.
Press the VOL+ and VOL- buttons to adjust the volume up and down.
Connecting Speakers to the Photo Frame
The Kitchen TechnologyCenter has built-in speakers, but you can also connect to external speakers or to
an external amplifierdepending on the model of your KTC. Some models comes with external audio jack. If
your KTC has audio jack,you can plug speakers into the audio jack located on the right side of Kitchen
TechnologyCenter (Cable notincluded).
Watching a Video
You can watch video files on your Kitchen Technology Center. It supports the Motion JPEG(AVI) video or
MP4 formats used by most digital cameras or video camcorders.
To watch a video stored on a memory card.
Using the remote control:
1. Insert a memory card with video files on it. Press the EXIT button on remote controluntil you reach
Home screen.
2. Press the SETUP button and go downto Select Media Menu. Choose the desired Media available.
3. Go back to Home screen to select Video.
4. Use theArrow keys to choose Video and press SELECT. Ascreen listing all of the video files opens.
5. Use theArrow buttons to choose the desired file and press ENTER to play the video.
6. Adjust the volume by using VOL+/VOL- buttons on the Remote Control.
Using the Touch Interface:
1. Insert a memory card with video files on it. Press the PanTouch point to activate the sensor and the
BACK button until you reach Home screen.
