IF YOUR BATTERY POWER IS LOW, YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE 2 SCREWS HOLDING THE BATTERY COVER IN PLACE. THEN YOU WILL
NEED TO PUT IN A NEW BATTERY, AND REPLACE THE BATTERY COVER. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES AT LEAST
ONCE EVERY 6 MONTHS TO ENSURE THAT THE REMOTE CONTINUES TO WORK PROPERLY.

*The Pantel remote only sends IR (infrared) signal, which mean this remote has to be in direct sight of
the unit being controlled. If these are not in direct sight of each other, an IR signal repeater will have to
be used.
How to program the WR640-A
The WR640-A gives the user the ability to control up to 7 different units (Cable, DVD, etc.), all in one
remote. The Pantel remote control can learn the controls of the user remote, button by button. Users
can copy each command from a cable or DVD remote to the Pantel remote in a few simple steps.
Step 1 *Place the Pantel remote and the remote whose signal is being learned on a flat surface. Point
the IR windows of both remotes so they are facing each other with about 2” of spacing.
Step 2 *Press and hold the AUX button on the Pantel remote that is being set. When the red light above
the AUX button become solid, release the button.
Step 3 *Press any control button on the Pantel remote to be learned. The red light above the AUX
button should be flashing.
Step 4 *Press and hold the control button on the other users remote that will be set to the control
button picked in step 3 on the Pantel remote. Hold until the light above the AUX button is solid, then
release.
Step 5 *Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all the control buttons on your remote are programmed into the
Pantel remote. (Note: There are 62 buttons on the Pantel remote. Some other remotes may contain
more controls than allowed. Pick the most common controls use to be learned on the Pantel remote.)
