PGI-68 Operating Guide Operation •5
Installation
Location
•Place appliance on a level surface that is strong enough to support the unit when it is fully
loaded
•Ensure at least 4“ (10 cm) of space between the top, back, and sides of the unit to allow proper
air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser
•If the appliance is installed into an island, ensure proper clearance and ventilation, and do not
cover the unit with a door; sample island installation shown in Figure 3
Figure 2 Sample Island Setup
•Do not place the unit in direct sunlight or other sources of heat (stove, heater, radiator, etc.)
•Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating, and heat sources may reduce performance and
increase electrical consumption
•Extreme cold ambient temperatures may also reduce performance
•Avoid locating the unit in areas of excessive moisture
Getting Started
•Keep the refrigerator upright when moving it; never tilt the appliance beyond 45° or place the
unit in an upside-down position
•Allow the unit to stand upright for 4 hours before plugging it in to allow the cooling system to
stabilize, which will reduce the possibility of a malfunction due to handling
•If the refrigerator has been placed in a horizontal or tilted position for any period of time, wait
24 hours before plugging it in
•Clean the unit thoroughly before putting it into use; wipe the outside with a soft dry cloth, and
the interior with a clean moist cloth
•Ensure the door can open completely - approximately 160° of travel

6•Operation PGI-128F Operating Guide
Level the Unit
Set the adjustable legs at the front comers of the refrigerator so the
refrigerator is firmly positioned on the floor with the front raised just
enough that the door closes easily when opened about halfway.
To adjust the leveling legs, turn the legs counterclockwise to raise the
refrigerator, and clockwise to lower it.
Operating the Refrigerator
Turn it On
1. Plug the refrigerator into a grounded outlet.
2. The refrigerator has one control for regulating the temperature,
located at the top right-hand corner inside the refrigerator
compartment. The temperature control ranges from position 1
(warmest) to 7 (coldest).
3. After plugging the unit in, adjust the temperature control knob
to 7 and run for at least 2 hours to ensure the cabinet is
thoroughly chilled before food is put in.
4. Reduce the thermostat control to position 4, which should be
appropriate for home or office use.
5. Over time, adjust the temperature control as needed.
Turn the Refrigerator Off
If the refrigerator will not be used for a prolonged period:
1. Remove all contents and turn the temperature control knob to 0.
NOTE: turning the control knob to "0" stops the cooling cycle, but does not disconnect the
refrigerator power supply.
2. Unplug the unit, clean and dry the interior, and leave the door open for a few days.
Energy Saving Tips
•Locate the unit in the coolest area, away from direct sunlight or heat producing appliances
•Keep the refrigerator closed as much as possible, particularly in warm/humid conditions
•Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the back and sides of the unit
•Maintain a thermostat setting of 3-6 under normal use to ensure cold items
•Allow warm food to cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator

PGI-68 Operating Guide Cleaning and Maintenance •7
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Refrigerator
•Unplug the appliance, remove all contents, and store them in a suitable place
•Cleaners: Never use harsh, abrasive cleaners, heavy-duty cleaners, or solvents on any surface
•Exterior: Wipe with damp, sudsy cloth, rinse and dry. For stubborn stains and for periodic
waxing, use silicon wax.
•Refrigeration Section: Wash shelves and other removable parts in warm sudsy water, rinse and
dry. Wash interior with baking soda solution (3 tablespoons to I liter of water) or warm sudsy
water, rinse and dry.
•Magnetic Door Seals: Wash with warm sudsy water.
•Replace all parts and return thermostat dial to desired setting
Defrost the Refrigerator
Ice can form in refrigerators when moist air enters the appliance in the cooling cycle, condenses, and forms
ice on the back wall. If the ice is left for a long time it can cause your wine to freeze, and the unit could
eventually stop working.
To defrost, remove all items, unplug the refrigerator, leave the door open, and wait for the ice to melt and
drain. Do not use mechanical means such as a hair dryer, or a metal tool to scrape the frost. When the ice is
clear, clean and dry the inside of the unit, plug it in, and restart operation.
Reverse the Refrigerator Door
The door may be reversed if desired. Follow these steps and refer to Figure 3:
1. Unplug the refrigerator and remove any contents.
2. Remove the top hinge cover
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws holding the top hinge in place.
4. Remove top hinge and carefully lift off the door.
5. Remove the screw hole plugs from the opposite side and insert the plugs in the screw hole openings
of the just removed screws.

8•Cleaning and Maintenance PGI-128F Operating Guide
Figure 3 Door reversal
6. Carefully turn refrigerator on its back and place in a secure area.
7. Loosen the screws holding the lower hinge bracket to the refrigerator and remove screws and
bracket.
8. Remove the screws from the other side and insert in the previously removed screw holes.
9. Remove door pin by turning counter clockwise and reinsert to the underside of the bracket and
tighten.
10. Align bracket and insert the two remaining screws into the holes provided, then stand the unit
upright
11. Align hole in the door with the door pin and washer and gently push down until firm.
12. Align upper hinge bracket with screw holes insert screws and partially secure, check that door and
cabinet are properly aligned and then secure tightly.
13. Replace hinge cap.
14. When the door is reversed, the screws of the two holes on the right are returned. After the handle is
moved from the left to the right, plug the left side hole with the hole plug packed with this manual.
15. Wait 24 hours and repeat the Operating the Refrigerator process to resume operation.
