The Quadra 12P is a powered, bi-
ampli ied, two-way speaker system
engineered to provide the highest
levels o per ormance available in a
compact, powered loudspeaker.
Capable o over 130 dB peak SPLs, this
system can pump out a huge amount
o sound. The enclosure utilizes high-
impact polypropylene in an injection-
molded plastic trapezoidal orm with a
coated, per orated metal grille or a
cosmetically elegant yet durable
powered speaker system.
This two-way powered system is
comprised o an 800 Watt dynamic
peak power ampli ier driving a 12"
BWX Black Widow woo er (1208-4)
with a Kevlar™impregnated cone, with
surround and dust cap specially
treated or excellent environmental
stability. A 200 Watt peak dynamic
power ampli ier drives the RX22
compression driver and eatures a 2"
titanium diaphragm with Radialinear
Planar Phase Correction in the phase
plug (US Patent #6064745). A
Quadratic Throat Geometry constant
directivity horn (US Patent #6059069)
with a coverage pattern o 90˚ by 45˚
is molded integrally into the
enclosure.
The Quadra 12P houses one combo
emale XLR, a 1/4" RTS phone jack
and one male XLR in its preamp, all
connected in parallel. A separate,
switchable emale XLR microphone
input is also provided. The power
ampli iers are low distortion units
providing 400 W RMS into the nominal
4 Ohm load o the woo er and 100 W
RMS into the nominal 6 Ohm load o
the tweeter, both selected or their
reliability and superb musical
per ormance capability. Both
ampli iers eature our patented SPS
compression, which virtually
eliminates audible power ampli ier
clipping.

easy transport, while multiple
mounting points on top and bottom or
the Peavey Versamount70 and a
molded-in stand adapter allow
maximum utility.

This powered loudspeaker system
has a requency response rom 62 Hz
to 18 kHz. The peak SPL with inaudible
distortion will reach 130 dB when
measured at a distance o 1 meter and
driven to ull output capacity. The
system utilizes a 12" BWX Black
Widow woo er and an RX22
compression driver tweeter. The
nominal radiation pattern is 90˚ in the
horizontal plane and 45˚ in the vertical
plane.
The powered, bi-ampli ied
loudspeaker system has a group o
medium impedance input connectors
consisting o one combo emale XLR, a
1/4" RTS phone jack and one male XLR
on the rear panel, all connected in
parallel. Additionally, a separate,
switchable microphone input ( emale
XLR) and a Loop Out/Loop In is
provided. A volume control is located
next to the input jack group.
The system power ampli iers have
an un iltered requency response o
10 Hz to 30 kHz, which deviates no
more than +0, -1dB up to rated power;
a damping actor greater than 100 @
1 kHz into 4 Ohms; hum and noise
better than 90 dB below rated power;
and THD and IMD o less than 0.1%.
The woo er ampli ier is capable o
handling 400 Watts into a 4 Ohm
nominal load, and the tweeter
ampli ier is capable o 100 Watts
output into a 6 Ohm load. Both
incorporate independent SPS
compression.
The input signal is electronically
divided into high requencies and low
requencies by a staggered pole, third
order slope line-level crossover at
1.8 kHz. The low requencies are
processed to provide bass boost,
subsonic iltering and overall response
shaping, and the high requencies are
equalized or constant directivity horn
EQ and response shaping.
The enclosure is constructed o
injection-molded 1/4" thick
polypropylene with a UL lame rating
and internal rein orcing ribs. A
handgrip is molded into each side o
the woo er and on the top rear edge.
A vinyl-coated, per orated metal
grille provides woo er protection. The
cabinet incorporates our tall, sturdy
rubber eet or loor standing use and
our mounting-point inserts on the top
and bottom, each or lying use.
The outside dimensions are 23-
11/16" high by 17-13/16" wide by
13-3/4" deep, and the unit weighs
55 lbs. Power requirements: maximum
660 Watts, nominal 180 Watts,
120VAC, 60 Hz domestic and 240 VAC,
50 Hz (European).
